We are the Cromwell Heirs, and we made a pact to never fall in love.

We don't even believe in that BS.
But I was nearly tempted to break our sacred pact for her.
Instead, I broke her heart and sent her away.

I never expected to see her again,
Nor lay eyes on my mini-me.

I know she hates me.
But what we created together four years ago is too precious for me to stay away.
And when she urgently needs a nanny, guess who forces his way in for the job...

Good simple romance
I chose it because I liked "stuck on you" and its not-so-bad curse. The story begins with the same approach, but with a bracelet, with 2 people one of whom, Toren, dumped the other, Luna, 5 years ago without knowing she was pregnant. The shock is necessarily violent and rebuilding a bond is difficult, because for Luna, the separation had been violent.
The story is cute, funny and sweet, with a real puzzle for Toren to prove he changed

This book is part of a series but can be read as a standalone with no major cliffhanger. You'll love Toren and Luna's story. They were an item five years ago when he sent her away not knowing she was pregnant with his son. Fate brings them together and he immediately sees the little boy who looks just like him. The book is so funny at times with plenty of twists and surprises. A meddling granny, some cursed jewelry and more. Some of the sayings were comical but I couldn't figure out all the references to gravy and biscuits. The little boy, Milo was precious and it didn't take his Dad long to melt. Toren was not especially likable but he grew on me. I received a free copy via the author and voluntarily chose to write a review.

While I normally enjoy Lindsey Hart romances, this one didn't quite grab me. The writing seems a bit awkward for me, and Milo doesn't talk like a 4 year old, even if he was a genius - I had to go back to check the age of him as some of the conversations made it seem like he was an older teenager or young adult. I also thought some of the conversations between Toren and Luna and others were a bit stilted and didn't flow. Otherwise the premise of the storyline was great and was a good reason why I chose to read this book.

I received a free advanced review copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving my fair and honest opinion.

I enjoyed this book overall but found it pretty different from the other Lindsay Hart books I’ve read before. Luna is a single mom with a precocious 4yo son. She thought Toren was the love of her life until he abruptly dumped her one day and gave her a payment to move out of his house. Fast forward 5 years later and Luna is raising her son and running a successful Estate and custom jewelry business. She never spoke to or saw Toren again after he dumped her and told her he never wanted kids or to be married. She didn’t realize she was pregnant until after the split. Her life takes a sharp turn when she anonymously receives a valuable bracelet in the mail to clean. The bracelet is cursed. I like paranormal stories so I embraced this plot twist, but this might turn off some readers who don’t want magic in their books. I won’t spoil the book by explaining the curse and how it affects Luna, but it’s important to the story and is mentioned often. This plot twist also sets up future books in this series with the similar cursed pieces of jewelry. I’m sorry to say that I had a few issues with the story. Toren is described as an overly serious person and businessman, rather cold and unemotional. I couldn’t figure out why Luna was ever with him in the first place because she’s so different. His weird use of bizarre phrases as expletives came off as strange. Dickosaurus? Yowsa? Why would a well read and serious businessman talk this way to himself? At least his use of Good Gravy was later explained, but the rest I found strange instead of charming or humorous. Along the same vein, her continuous use of “lady cave” was off putting to me. Lady cave? Really?I usually find myself laughing in a Hart book, but I didn’t find much humor in this one. Spoiler* As for Toren, his conversion to regretful, warm, and loving felt abrupt to me but maybe I’m being too hard on him. I liked him a lot by the end and fully supported the HEA. He really redeemed himself. My favorite scene was Luna’s tirade in the lobster restaurant. I was so glad she was able to tell him off, speak up for herself, and put him in his place. I wanted to shout “You Go, Girl!” I liked Toren’s relatives and their group dynamics. There was no angst or drama with them. But the lack of other secondary characters was odd. Luna has an apparently loving family yet they never appear in this book and she never speaks to them. Not once. Not even for Christmas? And she has no friends even though she’s been living in the same city since before she ever met Toren? He’s running a bunch of businesses but his employees are not in this book at all. It’s almost like Luna, Toren, and Milo exist in a bubble. As you can see, I really struggled with how this book was written even though I liked all the characters and the basic plot. It’s well written without spelling or grammar issues. I appreciate a book that is professionally published. For the plot, the characters, the ending, and the professional writing, I can give it 3.5-4 stars. But I have to take off at least a star due to the overuse of weird phrases and the lack of other characters in their lives. I think Hart meant to be cute and quirky but to me it fell flat. Sorry.

Second chance romance with a touch of magic. 3.5*
This novel wasn't really my thing, I tend not to go for magic forces having a role in romance. The way Toren had broken Luna's heart 5 years prior to the present-day timeline, Toren is really lucky that his private parts are still "intact". Amongst other things, I found it strange that they both live in New Orleans and low-and-behold they don't run into each other in 5 years, and nobody is the wiser to the fact that they had a child. I liked the restaurant scene, seeing Luna stand up for herself and letting her self-confidence show her to be sassy, and strong, someone who will never again be treated like she was 5 years ago. Does anyone use language like the characters in this book do? Is that even realistic? All the characters are likeable, however, and although people make mistakes and deserve a second chance, Toren's family play matchmaker trying to ensure the protagonists don't make another big mistake. Toren is now a father and has to deal with his prior fears and anxieties. His regret at his past actions were well described. The novel has a HEA that resolves some of the issues standing in the way of this couple's happiness. All due to a magic bracelet?

Cute, but not great

This book lacked suspense and drama. Everything was anticlimactic, including the climax. Here’s a quick re-cap and my full two cents.

Quick re-cap:

Luna used to date Toren, but Toren became scared of his feelings and ran away. Unbeknownst to him, Luna was pregnant at the time. She carried on her life sans Toren and had the baby. Toren’s Granny finds out and intervenes by bringing the two together.

My two cents:

I enjoyed this book. It’s funny, cute, and has a wonderful happily ever after. However, it’s flat. There isn’t any climax that makes you excited to keep reading it.

The sex scenes are okay. These two had a prior relationship, so nothing it too new or exciting between them.

I’m struggling with a recommendation on this book. I guess if you want a funny/quick read that definitely has some entertaining scenes, then this is good. But if you’re looking for something that has a good climax and suspense, then this isn’t the right book for you. Happy reading y’all!

Fleeing a Fateful Past and Finding Love in the Present

New Orleans, the home of the Mardi Gras and voodoo, is also the home of the Cromwell family, lucky in wealth, but most unlucky in love. To countermand the bad juju that seemed to curse her family’s love life, Granny Cromwell has gifted each of her five grandchildren with a piece of jewelry having the power to act as a love barometer to “gift” to their intended “soulmate”, revealing whether the relationship is “cursed” or “blessed” in love. While the grandchildren—Ash, Kirian, Leeandra (Lee), Toren, and Taylen all love their strong-willed, controlling, but definitely well-intentioned grandmother, none are eager to wed, and certainly not with their love-life controlled by an inanimate object possessed by powers that seem bent on pushing the grandchildren towards their “fated mate.” And surprisingly, Granny’s juju is working—with one of the five grandchildren—Ash—meets and becomes engaged to his “fated” mate identified by one of Granny’s cursed pieces of jewelry. And now, Granny has set her sight on the disrupted relationship of Toren and his former girlfriend and talented designer of custom jewelry and merchant of antique pieces.

5 years earlier, Luna Grayson with her long, black hair, pale complexion, and her soft brown eyes, surrounded by thick dark lashes had touched the heart of Toren Cromwell with her beauty. But more importantly, she had captured his love with her kindness and sweet nature. But, as a Cromwell, Toren did not believe that he, or any other Cromwell was destined to love, so after months of happiness and love and without warning of changed feelings, he sent Luna on her way with $10,000.00 to move her quickly out of his life.

Now, 4 years later, Luna has rebuilt her life. She used the “don’t let the door hit you on the way out” money from her former lover to buy a building located not far from the central tourist area in the French Quarter. Remodeling the building to provide a ground floor workshop and sales area, she had the second floor turned into and apartment where she and her now 4-year-old precocious son, Milo lived, and where at times Milo his current nanny could at time be heard romping.

And, just as she thought she had moved on with her life, Luna has recently received a request to clean an antique bracelet which the accompanying note described as “cursed and dirty”. So, when Toren Cromwell, her ex, shows up at her shop to pick up a bracelet for his grandmother, Luna is stunned. And her world is truly turned upside down when he observes her wearing the very bracelet that he has come to claim. Quickly returning the bracelet to its purple velvet bag, Luna, tries to hustle Toren out of the shop, saying that there is no charge for the cleaning. But before she can hurry him out the door his mini-me appears—Milo—a small, boy that looks just a younger, smaller version of Toren.

Lindsay Hart once more examines and crushes some of society’s misconceptions of how a women and men should act, look, love and respond to each other. The author lets the readers fully appreciate the challenges faced by both men women seeking honesty and truthfulness in relationships, and desiring to be true to themselves. She offers the perfect comeback to the false patterns which society, and one’s own expectations, impose on the individual. And in this romance, the writer weaves in the mystical powers of forces acting as matchmaking agents on behalf of a loving, but manipulative grandmother.

Cursed soulmates and the loves of each other's lives
This book is about Luna and Toren. Luna owns and runs a jewellery shop and lives in the apartment upstairs with her four year-old son Milo. She receives an unusual letter along with an antique bracelet that requires cleaning. The letter gives her instructions as to when it’s to be ready and the day and time it will be collected. She is absolutely fascinated by antique jewellery and as she puts the bracelet on to check it has been thoroughly cleaned underneath the lights, someone enters her store. Luna is more than a little bit shocked and surprised when it’s her ex-boyfriend Toren that is there to collect the bracelet. As he sees her and that she’s wearing the bracelet, the lights flicker inside the store. Perhaps the curse is indeed true for this piece of jewellery too.
Milo and his nanny Charlotte come downstairs to explain the noise that had been coming from upstairs. When Toren sees the young boy, he can’t believe the likeness to himself. He is his mini-me without a doubt! Guessing what age he might be, Toren correctly assumes the child is his, and he and Luna organise to meet at a restaurant to discuss matters. That in itself was a very emotional and dramatic part of the story! And when the nanny has to resign, it leaves Toren with the perfect opportunity to get to know his son as his temporary nanny, and right his wrongs where Luna is concerned.
They are drawn together, kind of like unfinished business, with a whole heap of deep feelings that are obviously still there – despite their stubborn attempts to ignore or dismiss them. But there are lots of obstacles that keep it from being smooth, which made it seem more realistic to me. Luna in particular needs to be more willing to open herself up to the possibility of a HEA, but it’s not just herself that she needs to consider, and Milo is the most important person in her life. They could become a permanent and real part of his crazy-fun and boisterous family!
This book was emotional, dramatic, sweet, steamy, captivating and hilarious too – so many of their lines had me cracking up laughing, e.g. “What the actual facksh!t facknuts fackerwacker is happening right now?” And I loved the cake initiation – I could just imagine and see how that catastrophe unfolded! Granny was an absolute crack-up! I loved her humour and her well-meaning, meddling ways. And Rose was so insightful when she spoke her mind. Those old ladies sure know their stuff!
So far it seems like the Cromwell heirs can’t seem to honour their not-falling-in-love pact. And thank goodness for that! I can’t wait to read about Kirian’s curse next in Stolen By You. I give this book four and three quarter lobster stars.

Luna opened the special delivery she just received at her jewelry store. There was no return address, just a tracking number and $100 tucked inside with a very strange note that it needed cleaning and the owner would be there on Friday to pick the bracelet up. Living in New Orleans strange was normal. The bracelet is at least a hundred years old and although you can definitely see it's an antique it is definitely not dirty and in need of cleaning.

Toren's grandmother sent him to pick up something saying it was urgent. He should have known she was meddling when he sees that the jewelry store he was sent to is owned by his ex-girlfriend, Luna. A woman who he had been a real a$$ to before breaking her heart five years ago and who was obviously not happy to see him in her shop.

It's been five years and what he sees demands an explanation. But she wants him to take the bracelet and leave. His bracelet...the cursed one given to him by his grandmother. She had given all of his siblings and cousins a cursed piece of jewelry. Artifacts that were supposed to lead them to their true mates and even though they all believed it to be a joke the five of them had made a pact to not let a curse ruin or direct their lives and vowed to never fall in love.

And then Ash had met Ellis and she accidentally put on his ring and it wouldn't come off no matter how hard they tried and it made the other four even more determined to avoid the curse. How his grandmother had found the hidden bracelet he didn't want to even think about, but obviously she thought the curse needed a bit of meddling with and sent to it Luna.

I loved this book! Just like Ash & Ellis's story this book is hilarious. It is very well written and the characters are full of depth and very relatable. I absolutely love Luna. She is strong and despite what Toren put her through years before she fought for her dreams and opened a business making jewelry and selling antiques. She didn't let his cruel words keep her from believing in herself.

Toren obviously had massive issues with his father's treatment of his mother and deserted his family and instead of manning up he ran away when he couldn't control his emotions. Now he has a chance to make amends and show Luna that he had changed and wasn't that man anymore. I really love Toren's growth and how much his attitude towards love and life changed when he sees what he has missed out on over the last five years.

This book will have you laughing at these brothers and cousins with their obsession with cake. I highly recommend this rom-com! It can be read as a standalone novel, but I would definitely suggest you read this series in order. Looking forward to more from Lindsey Hart and what this curse has in store for the remaining three grandchildren.

Luna owns a vintage jewelry shop in New Orleans where she also makes custom jewelry pieces. Her former boyfriend, Toren, 34, walks into her shop to pick up a his bracelet that his grandmother had sent to be cleaned and is shocked to see Luna again. 5 years ago he had broken up with Luna after dating for 2 years, told her he never wanted kids, gave her $10,000 and kicked her out of his house. Toren’s grandmother had given each of her 5 grandchildren an heirloom that she had “cursed” by a psychic in NOLA to help them find their “soulmate”. Toren and his cousins made a pact to not fall in love or let anyone get close so the “curse” wouldn’t affect them. When Luna tries on the bracelet after she cleaned it, the lights begin to flicker and later when Toren puts it into his pocket the bracelet becomes very hot. Toren is then shocked to see Luna’s son, Milo, walk into the jewelry shop because her son looks just like him. Luna agrees to meet him later and she ends up yelling at him in a restaurant as she explains why she never told him about his son and Loren ends up crying. When Luna’s nanny announces she is moving away Toren offers to be her temporary nanny so he can get to know Milo. Will Toren finally open himself to love and find happiness with Luna and Milo?

I loved this story where former lovers meet again and Toren discovers that he has a son. The author did a great job showing how Toren’s dad leaving his family had forced him as the oldest to become very serious and the man of the house at a young age. The cousins were very close and had all agreed to not fall in love when their grandmother gave them the “cursed” heirlooms. When Toren saw Luna again and found out that he was a father, he had to decide if he was willing to open himself to love again. The epilogue was a fantastic ending to their story and I am anxious to read more about his cousins and their “cursed” heirlooms.

This is another laugh-out-loud romantic comedy by Lindsey Hart and it's the second in her series, Fated to Love You. We are back with the Cromwells to have another glimpse at granny and her cursed objects. If you haven't read the first book, Stuck on You, let me give you a brief history. The matriarchal head of the Cromwell family is granny, Helen, who has taken it upon herself to gather pieces of jewelry and have them cursed to where they would bring the individual who possessed them to their soulmate. She gave each of her grandchildren one of the cursed jewelry pieces. The grandchildren then took it upon themselves to make a pact amongst themselves to not fall in love. You see, they were all devastated when their seemingly happy fathers left each of their mothers high and dry. They saw first hand how devastating that could be. Now back to the story at hand, it seems that granny is up to her meddling ways again. It seems that she's broken into Toren's house and stolen his cursed item, a gold diamond and ruby bracelet and she's delivered it to be cleaned at a jewelry shop owned by none other than Luna, Toren's ex-girlfriend. About five years ago, he ended his relationship with Luna because it was getting too serious and he was scared of the emotions he felt. So now he's here standing in her jewelry shop picking up a package for his grandmother, which turns out to be his cursed bracelet and in walks in a babysitter with Luna's near five year old son, who is the spitting image of Toren. You'll have to read the rest to find out what happens next, but I have to tell you it's a lot of hilarity and heartfelt romance. It's really a wonderful story with a very original storyline and characters you can't help but fall in love with. All in all, I'd say you can't go wrong with picking up this book or the other one currently in this series, and any future ones, because they are wonderfully written and will appease any diehard romantic.

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we meet Luna Grayson an Toren Cromwell. When this book opens we find that Luna who is a jewelry cleaner designer, and producer of old jewelry in New Orland's has received an envelope with a bracelet in it and money telling her the bracelet is curse but can she clean it. She is also told that someone will be by on friday at 12:00 to pick it up. So she proceeds to her job not realizing who will be the person to pick up the jewelry. From the money she touches the bracelet something weird happens with the light when she puts it on to examine that all areas have been cleaned they go weird again. When the person who has come to retrieve it comes she thinks her lights are going to explode along with herself. For who has come to get the bracelet none other than her ex Toren and to make things worse his little mini me he knows nothing about comes to the shop. Toren can't believe his grandmother stole the bracelet from his home and is now sending him to retrieve it back from a jeweler. When he gets there and sees his ex with the bracelet on she doesn't know what to do. When he sees his mini me he can't believe all he has missed. Can these two find a HEA or will the hurts from the past make a future impossible?

Another hit for this author. The depth of emotions between these two will really draw you in and have you hooked until the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

"Ex For You" is the second book in the "Fated to Love You" series. I enjoyed the first book ("Stuck on You") so much, I could't wait for the next one! Did you ever read a book that just put a smile on your face, or one that you knew would help you relax and maybe give you a laugh or two? That's what this series is like. Lindsey Hart has a way of writing that just cracks me up. She sets up a scene that you know is going to be outrageous and that you end up reading twice just to make sure you didn't miss anything the first time. "She leans over the table, grabs three whole lobsters, opens her purse, and stuffs them in. I gape at her. How did I ever let this woman go? 'You, uh, forgot the butter'.
The series is set in New Orleans. This is the perfect location for a story whose premise is about cursed jewelry! In "Stuck on You" there was a cursed ring. Once it was on the true fated soulmate, it would not come off. Now, in "Ex for You" there is a bracelet. It emits enough heat to burn your hands and causes strange electrical flickerings when near the heroine - Luna. Toren (H) knows about the curse, but believes he can outsmart it - not fall prey to its power. I don't know, that New Orleans black magic is pretty powerful stuff, especailly when a determined granny is involved.
Lindsey Hart is a clever story-teller who writes original and entertaining stories. I can't wait to see what is in store for the next book in the series!

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Jewelry curse #2 is a bracelet. Grandma had 5 jewelry pieces cursed and gave them to her grandchildren. By curse the jewelry will reveal their soulmates. Problem the grandkids made a pact to never fall in love. They think it can't last. Toren has been going through life very seriously. Luna is sent an antique bracelet to clean. Toren is sent to pick it up and is shocked to see the one woman he loved and still can't get her out of his heart, Luna. He is more shocked to be looking at a mini me. Luna never told him she was pregnant because he broke up with her in the worst way.

Will Toren realize what he feels is love and is not something to be feared? Can Luna forgive Toren and give him a second chance? Can he be the kind of father he always wanted?

I like the premise of the cursed jewelry. It is a unique way to draw the couple together. One of Lindsey Hart's strength is her character development. They are a little quirky people. The writing is witty, light and easy to read. I love the antics the men get into at family gatherings. Milo, Toren's and Luna's son is a little pistol. He is smart, observant and keeps everyone on their toes. The quick read, stand alone romance does have a happy ending. I recommend Ex For You as a summer read romance.

Luna owns a jewellery store and received a bracelet in a package along with $100 with a note asking for it to be cleaned and someone would pick it up on a certain day and time. When that day and time arrives it's the last person she ever expected to see ....Toren .... her ex, her heartbreaker, her sons dad!!! Luna is actually wearing the bracelet when he arrives and he knows immediately that his granny is behind this meeting.
His granny had given her five grandchildren a piece of jewellery that she told them she had had cursed so each would find their soulmate, this bracelet was Toren's.
What he did to Luna five years ago was to break up in a very cruel way because he was scared of his feelings and afraid he would be like his dad who had abandoned his family. What he could never have expected was to be looking into the face of a four year old mini him!
Is it granny or is it really the bracelet giving Toren his second chance, that's if Luna will even give him a second chance with her and any chance at all of being a dad to Milo.

Ex for You is part of a series in which cousins each get a cursed piece of jewelry from their grandmother. The curse is supposed to help them find their soulmates. Toren and Luna were lovers five years ago but he had emotional barriers and couldn't let himself be loved. Luna was heartbroken, but she built a life for herself and her son Milo. Yes, he's Toren's. No, he didn't know. When Toren's cursed bracelet brings them together again, he wants to become Milo's dad for real. But first he becomes Milo's nanny.

I have liked several Lindsey Hart books before, and this one was great too. I loved the language, all the silly ways of expressing things, the humor, the touching bits here and there, and the snarky scolding that all the lobsters heard.

When Milo saw Toren for the first time he did a double take because Toren looked just like him, but he never asks anything or reacts to it again, and that seemed a little strange.

A Second Chance To Change Their Past -
Toren had a pact with his brother and cousins to never fall in love, which led him to break up with his girlfriend. Luna’s quiet life came to a screeching halt when her ex-boyfriend’s grandmother discovered her secret. The air between Toren and Luna was highly charged when they met after not seeing each other for five years. However, Toren’s life changed in an instant, after inadvertently discovering the secret Luna had held since they broke up. The fun begins between these two as they come to terms with their past and their present. The storyline, romance and camaraderie between characters, will have you hooked and anticipating what will come next, as you turn the pages.

This was a really interesting and entertaining, with all the shenanigans that it was worth my sleepless night, as I stayed up until dawn to finish the book. I am really looking forward to reading about what the matchmaking grandmother comes up with next.

Ex for You is the second book in the Fated to Love You series, the first Stuck on You was fabulous so I was eager to read this.
The story follows the Cromwell family who have each been given a piece of cursed jewellery so they will find their soulmate. But Toren and his siblings and cousins have vowed to beat the curse and not fall in love.
Luna was Torens partner five years previously when suddenly he ended their relationship out of the blue leaving her devastated and unknowingly pregnant, she now has a four year old son Milo, but has never told Toren.
He is sent by his Gran (a set up) to collect a bracelet off Luna, she makes and restores jewellery. They are both stunned to see each other again especially when Milo makes a surprise appearance and it is obvious to Toren he’s his son.
This is the story of their reconnection, it is beautiful and heartfelt, but also downright hilarious.
I loved it and can’t wait for the next.
My grateful thanks to the author for an ARC, this review is given with honestly .

This is the second book in the Fated to You series. This reads well as a standalone but honestly I think its better to read this series in order since the Cromwells are close you will run into the previous books characters. If you need a laugh, a pick me or just love rom coms you'll want grab this book. It's also a second chance romance. The book had me snort giggling, Granny Cromwell is a hoot. I love that meddling granny; she's determined to break up the pact her heirs made to never fall in love. Plan cooked up, she has jewelry cursed, one pieces or each grandchild, only this curse isn't bad it helps the owner connect with their true love. They grandchildren fight it but you can't run from fate or a determined grandma. It's Toren's turn and boy does he have his work cut out for him, and understandably so because he was horrible to her. He hurt Luna and she's determined to avoid being hurt again. Will Toren be able to fix things with Luna?

This book. is fun to read which isn't only due to the plot, it's down to Lindsey’s style of writing and some of the different words she uses for cursing, you can't help but laugh. The premise of this series is a busybody grandmother determined to see her five grandsons happily married gives each of them a piece of jewellery that is cursed (as far as the guys are concerned) to bring them together with the perfect life partner. But the guys make a pact to never fall in love.

Luna and Toren were together until he broke it off mainly because he was starting to feel too much, breaking her heart at the same time. What he didn't know and she didn't tell him is that she was carrying their child. Toren was hard to like at first but the more I read the more I liked him and then maybe fell a little in love with him as he changed.

This is an enjoyable entertaining second chance romance, I loved it.

While this is the second in a series, it's great as a standalone and fun summer read. Toren and Luna were an item almost 5 years ago, until Toren (as most men do) panicked when things got to serious and ended their relationship by telling Luna to get out. No explanation, nothing. Just a deadline to vacate and $10k in cash. You see, Toren is from the Cromwell family. Very, very wealthy and influential in New Orleans, with a grandmother that loves to meddle in her grandchildren's lives by taking 5 pieces of jewelry and having them cursed by a voodoo priestess, giving one to each of her 4 grandsons and 1 granddaughter. Who knew (except Grandma) the bracelet Toren was given would lead him back to his true love. By the way did I mention Milo, Luna's son, who has eyes just like his Daddy? Stay tuned...

Although each book is a stand alone, each one deals with a rare piece of jewelry cursed by the grandmother and given to her grandchildren to help them find their soulmate. The Cromwells are a fun and quirky bunch, wounded by a broken father and gun shy of love. In this one, twin Toren, afraid of love and messing up, runs out on Luna, leaving behind a son he never knew about. Now five years later, he makes that discovery when his grandmother sends him to Luna’s jewelry shop to retrieve the cursed bracelet she’d sent there for cleaning. He instantly loves his mini-me son and desires Luna back as well. Unfortunately, the first half the book was mostly Luna talking nonsense to herself, and it took 3/4 of the story before they started getting back together . Not enough dialogue or interaction amongst the hero and heroine for me.

Ex For You by Lindsey Hart was a fun, quirky take on 2nd chances with a New Orleans flair. Single mom and jeweler Luna has her life figured out. Ok, so maybe parts of her life figured out. But hey, who needs a man? After having her heart broken by the man she thought was the love of her life, she's decided to focus on her business and her son Milo. What should she do when the man who shattered her life but left her a single mother returns with a cursed family heirloom?

This story had me HOOKED from the beginning. I laughed so hard at some of the creative curse words used (and maybe added them to my vocabulary as well) and cried in sympathy for the characters. This has to be my favorite Lindsey Hart book to date. The characters are enjoyable and relatable. The storyline is quirky. Readers will enjoy this 2nd chance romance.

This is the second book in the series.
This book is about Toren, who is a cousin of Ash from the last book, and his ex girlfriend Luna.
Toren's grandmother is matchmaking again and finds out some information about Toren's ex girlfriend Luna. She hatches a scheme to get them to meet each other again. It is then that Toren finds out what has happened in Luna's life since he broke her heart. Will Loren be able to forgive Toren for his past mistakes and will the curse strike a second time?

I really enjoyed this story, you don't need to have read the first book to understand what is going on, but I would recommend reading all the books as they are all enjoyable. I am looking forward to finding out what is in store for the rest of the grandchildren in the next stories.

I love this series. This book brings us Toren, Luna and Milo, as well as appearances by the beloved Granny, Helen Cromwell. Toren and Luna were in a relationship 5 years ago, when Toren got scared that he'd be just like his dad (a real jerk), and would end up hurting Luna, so he left her. Unknown to him at the time, Luna was pregnant but she never told Toren that. Now comes in play the bracelet that Granny had given Toren. She sends it to Luna's shop to get cleaned, but no name was given, just paid for and said when it should be ready. Surprise, Toren picks it up and is shocked to see it's Luna's store, and there is a young boy that looks just like him! Toren's family is a hoot. You'll laugh, cry, and most importantly not put this book down until the end. I HIGHLY recommend this book. I did receive an arc for an honest review.

This was a fun book to read. Lindsey’s style of writing is so funny. I love her wording, especially the different words she uses for cursing which are hilarious. Luna and Toren are a second chance waiting to happen. I really didn’t like Toren at first when you find out how heartless he was when he broke up with Luna. Just as quickly as I didn’t like him I then fell in love with him. He is a changed man and hoping for another chance.

The premise is really funny too. Toren’s grandmother has had items cursed for Toren and his siblings and cousins. The curse is that the item will bring the person’s soulmate. They make a pact to not allow this to happen, but one by one they are going to fall!! It will be fun to read what happens to the others as they find love.

This is the second book in the series and as much as I enjoyed the first one, I loved this one more. This can be a standalone but having read the first one before this one made this one more meaningful for me. The stories take place in New Orleans so when a curse is mentioned, you better believe it. The Cromwell granny has had jewelry pieces cursed to help her grandchildren find their soulmates. This is Toren and Luna's second chance story. Toren's change in personality when he met Milo was touching and brilliantly written. It was fantastic seeing him start to loosen up find the joy in life. Luna was a wonderful person with a huge heart and I was pulling for them to be the family they richly deserved. Next up is Kirian's story and granny is definitely involved. I can't wait!

Toren is part of a family that is given pieces of jewelry from his grandmother that is cursed so that the grandchildren find their true love and soulmates. This is the second novel in this series but can be read independently. His grandmother sends his piece of jewelry to his ex-girlfriend who is in the jewelry business in order to have it cleaned, unbeknownst to her, grandma has Toren go pick it up and he finds her trying it on. This is not the only surprise he finds as she also has a child who looks just like him. Will Luna allow him to be the child's nanny when hers quits and will they become each other's soulmates due to the curse? Great novel and author.

Cromwell heirs are at it again!
Luna explained why she kept the truth hidden, and brought a man to tears for his actions. Luna’s character is driven, smart, and passionate about her life, Toren’s character changed from being an arrogant jerk to wanting nothing more than to apologize for his actions and to make up for lost time. Thanks to the cursed bracelet from a hilarious granny, everything was able to work out as it should have years earlier.
Like all of Lindsay Hart's books, this was a fantastic read and I laughed at the antics of all these cousins, can’t wait to read how these other curses may play out for them.

The Cromwell curse has struck for the second time! Granny is too cunning for her own good when it comes to her grandchildren. Toren meets his past, present and future when Granny sends him on an errand. Will he use his heart instead of his insecurities this time or will he let 5 more years go by because he’s afraid that he will become his father? Luna is his ❤️ but will she be able to make him see that he’s worth being loved and that he does love even though it scares him to death? Of course this is another Lindsey Hart smash that only makes you want to know when the other cursed objects will pop up. Also, keep an eye out for the Dog cloud eating the Unicorn fart cloud!
