I enjoyed this book. Courtney Cain, the manager of the Curly Bay Animal rescue has been bitten by the family tree bug and is spending long hours researching her own family tree. She is also having electrical problems both at the shelter and at home and although he was a surly person, she didn't wish death on him, yet that is what happened to him. Courtney also gets to put together a puppy birthday party for her favorite socialite's dog with the possibility of more of them to help finance the animal shelter. All in all, the killer is found and stopped, and the party gets to go on. It is well worth your time and effort to read.

This author knows are to bring a story together. She takes a story surrounding a pet shelter and ads a little humor and tops it off with a mystery to solve. What I really love is you can read the book it just a couple hours.

Great book
This is a great book in the Curly Bay series by Donna Doyle. I love all of the characters and of course the dogs.

My first book in this series, but what a cute and far reaching cozy mystery to wrap your head around. Set within an elite country club setting, heads begin to roll as first one person then another seems wrapped up in this foul play of murder. An enjoyable and easy to read story.
