Hello! I'm the author of the Witch Way to Mintwood series and the Spooky Business series! I live in New England and love it. I survive the winter by layering, good-natured complaining, and more layering. In case you were wondering. Hearing from readers is always lovely, so come visit me here:
I was invested in the series and it felt like the bad guys escaped at the end of the story. The climax was confusing. They all just go home as if nothing happened. Very odd.
Who knew so much went into a wedding? With everything needing to get done, Lemmi and the crew solve a murder and find Bruiser to help Lemmi with the witch's duel.
I love the Mintwood books. I love "hanging out" with Lemmi and the girls and I am always happy to head back to Main Street, meeting the residents of Mintwood. I love watching their lives and relationships evolve. I love Lemmi's version of magic and the relationship she has with the coven. I love the relationship she has with Paws and the rest of the ghosts. I feel like this is a strong series and I am always eagerly awaiting the newest installment.
This book, however, felt like it was rushed. The story felt like it wasn't quite evolved and the ideas hadn't quite been flushed out completely. It felt almost, contrived. I also noticed there were a lot more typos in this book and a lack of development with some of the newer characters (I'm looking at you Camilla, Becca, Derek, and Sage).
I will, as per usual, await the next book. Addison can't write them fast enough for me! Next time, I just hope her editor is a bit better and the story is a bit more organic.
