Horns for days? Scaled to perfection? Tantalizing tentacles? You name it, I’ve matched it.
But running a matchmaking agency isn’t all it’s cracked up to be, especially when your clients are the very things that go bump in the night.
Wanting to secure our business, my sisters and I make a bet with the gods to match anyone they want in order to gain their sponsorship. However when they tell me they want me to find my own perfect match and bond with them instead, things turn complicated.
With no time to date, a new business to run, and my kids to take care of, it’s a miracle I’m able to keep my eyes open.
And don’t even get me started on my sexy stalker who happens to be part of the new wolf pack in town. It’s just too bad they don’t meet the requirements for the bet.
It’s also too bad they just happen to be my newest clients.
When an unknown threat to my business and family rears its head, I’ll have to find the true meaning of pack or risk losing everything I’ve worked so hard for.
Mom to Mate is a 120K+ standalone paranormal reverse harem novel that features three powerful sisters, growly shifters who aren’t afraid of cuddle piles, and laughter and love galore. This novel features mmfm content and steamy scenes suitable for mature audiences.
Mom to Mate is one of my all-time favorite Reverse Harems! It is the first book in the Threadline Agency series, involving three sisters who suddenly come into power as the three fates; mother, maiden, and crone. Mom to Mate follows Ava, a single mother to three boys who is balancing mom and work life as she and her sisters recently opened up a matchmaking agency for business and romance relationships alike. Struggling to make their way in a new world of supernaturals and gods, Ava and her sisters make a deal with three goddesses to prove that their matchmaking works in order to gain their favor. Now Ava must find someone to bond with; the only problem is her matches have all been terrible so far. However, when three wolf shifters move in next door; Ava suddenly has three men by her side; willing to help with her work, children, and maybe even her need for a bond.
I absolutely love the characters, romance, and world that Chloe Gunter has built; I have read this book three times and have liked it more and more each time! Mom to Mate is a very lighthearted story with a great balance of work, family, and romance crafted through the chapters; I enjoyed being able to explore all facets of Ava's life. I also loved how the men were absolutely devoted to Ava and were there to see her through all her challenges. The potential and set up for the series were great; I liked getting to know the three sisters and can't wait to see how their books may turn out.
I tried with this book, I really did. I got 62% of the way in and realized I was dreading trying to finish it so... why was I so set on needing to complete it?
I spent a week reading this book - and as someone who can finish a 350 page book in about 3 hours, that's a lot of time. I'm not sure what didn't work for me, because the concept of the book is pretty interesting: the heroine is a 34 year old single mom to 3 who learned a year or so ago that she and her two sisters are the reincarnations of the Fates - mother, maiden, crone.
I think maybe there were too many subplots for me? Too many characters? Too much excess and not enough of the main plotline storytelling? Also I didn't care for any of the heroes.
The heroine Ava meets one guy at the grocery store, and he's immediately a creep who comes off kind of stalker-ish... like he literally follows her home. But it's okay because he thinks she's his mate! He was young and silly and I just don't care for that type of character. Then we meet his two packmates, a guy Cam who is severely underdeveloped at 62% in (I still feel like I knew nothing about him) and Nate, who is just a Tough Alpha Type.
Plots range from Ava and her sisters trying to establish their matchmaking company to drama with other Gods/Goddesses, an ultimatum that she has to find her perfect match... her going on dates with Gods... the 3 guys moving in next door, because that's not creepy at all... the guys worming their way into her life through her sons... her oldest son surprising her by turning into a wolf... etc etc
I had a hard time rating and reviewing this book. I enjoyed the overall story. The Fates starting a matchmaking business for not only love but also business endeavors and friendships. I really like Ava and her sisters (The Fates) and Ava’s boys. It started out great and at a good pace but seemed to slow down to almost a snails pace half way through the book. The guys didn’t really do it for me either. Toby was adorable but borderline annoying, Cam seemed almost non-existent and Nate just didn’t come across as an alpha to me. I really enjoy Chloe’s books and like I said I enjoyed the story and the powerful women in this book but the slow pace and the guys just weren’t doing it for me. I do plan on reading Phee’s story as she intrigues me so much. Don’t let this deter you from reading as I know a lot of people will love this story and the men even if I didn’t like them.
Ava is one of the Fates—the Mother specifically. Her and her sisters found out about their powers less than two years ago, but they decided to take in in stride and founded a match-making agency. However, when they start to think about having partnerships with gods, they are thrown a challenge. Ava needs to find and bond her mate within 3 months if she wants the goddesses' help. Ava is willing to put herself back on dating after her husband's death. However, she hasn't counted for three wolf shifters to move right next to her house and for her children to become part of their pack.
It was a nice read, but sometimes things happened and you don't know why/ How did Ava know this or that when multiple times is mentioned she's still learning about her powers and she doesn't know everything?
This was a refreshingly new age RH with an older FMC who has kids and isn’t stick thin, for that reason this is a five star read. I took two stars off because there wasn’t a lot of back story, it’s missing the depth of how the sisters got to where they were: powerwise, agency wise, god-wise, there wasn’t enough depth and build. I want to know them before the powers or I want to feel like I know them better. I feel like I was dropped in the middle of a book with no real basis. Almost like this is book 2 in a trilogy and I missed the build up of book one. I want to understand where gods come into the picture as well as shifters and ect. There just wasn’t enough build and info for this to be a five star book.
Before I started reading smut, I loved feelgood, lighthearted "chic lit" where the main characters usually had endured some sort of personal loss but then found love again. Well - this book felt like that, but with a touch of nice smut and paranormal stuff.
I thought the premise sounded very interesting: three human sisters suddenly turn into the Fates. Our fmc Ava is the Mother, her sister Phee and Mara are the Maiden and the Crone. They run the Threadline Agency - a matchmaking agency for the supernatural and paranormal in all things romance and business. The premise is interesting, but I was left with many a question mark at the end of the novel as to how their powers work or what exactly they do.
I really enjoyed that Ava was a mature 34yo single mum of three. Her husband passed a few years prior and she has had a stressful time since coming into her new powers as the Mother.
Three handsome wolf shifters move in as her neighbours, and what she doesn't know but they certainly do, is that she is their fated mate. We have Toby, the very enthusiastic and eager cinnamon roll, Cam the slightly mysterious dude and Nate the Alpha with a capital A.
In general I really enjoyed this story, but I wish it had been a bit shorter and more compact. There were a lot of sub plots, maybe a few too many. I loved the characters, especially Toby and Van. Ava is a well written and well-rounded fmc, who shows that motherhood and a hectic worklife can be difficult to balance without some help. Cam could have been a bit more developed, as he felt like a bit of a mystery maybe even a little flat at the end of the story, even though I really wanted to love him too. We were told about both Tobys and Nates pasts a bit more, but Cam lacked the same depth for me.
The smut was excellent, some of the scenes with the guys had me 🥵
To sum it all up - this was a feelgood paranormal romance with great smut, but at times a bit too slow and too padded with extras. Would still recommend to anyone looking for a light and fluffy read. Excited to meet Van again in the next book which is about Avas sister Phee!
I enjoyed this new series by the author even though it goes in a totally different direction than her other series. In Mom to Mate, the main character is a Fate along with her two sisters. She is the Mother and her sisters are the Maiden and Crone, though she is also a mother in that she has children of her own. Together the run a new business called Threadline Agency that uses the strings of fate match people in the best relationships, romantic or not. The book begins as an important meeting with goddesses of love looms because their support is critical for growing the business, but they throw Ava and her sisters an unexpected challenge. On top of that, Ava has just met three men who shift into wolves and suspiciously keep inserting themselves into her life. I loved seeing the relationships in this story, not just the developing romance but the family ones and friendships as well. The characters pulled me in and had me laughing at their quirks and tearing up at their insecurities from past hurts. The supernatural element was engaging as well since the author has an interesting take on gods, goddesses, and other beings in the modern world.
Such a fun read! ✅Fated Mates ✅Shifters ✅🔥🔥🔥🔥 ✅ Awesome side characters ✅Body positivity
I really enjoyed this book. The main character was totally relatable as a fellow mom. I’m not a single parent but I do have the utmost respect to those who are superheroes and doing parenting alone. This was such a fun take on the Three Fates as well. All the guys in this book are amazing but I absolutely adore Toby!!
“Dick cheese,” Toby muttered under his breath. “His name is literally dick cheese. Why the hell would his parents name him William Cambert and not think of the consequences of that decision?”🤣
How do you handle suddenly being one of the 3 Fates along with your 2 sisters? How do you handle having to appease a trio of female goddesses by mating and bonding in 3 months to get their endorsement of your match making business? And a pack of 3 shifters? Really good story. Lots of humor and feelings.
DNF at 39%, so no star rating. This book needed an editor. The writing is awkward, with giant run-on sentences, confusing characterizations, and mushy world building.
For example, she runs into a woman at the grocery store:
" "Oh, Ava! Bless your heart honey, is that you?" questioned a shrill and way too perky voice that belonged to none other than Karen, the picture perfect PTA mom that I'd have loved to hate to feel better about myself and my strung out priorities, but was actually a genuine person at heart. It turned out that not all women are actually out to get you, and while Karen may in fact be a 'Karen', somewhere in her heart of hearts, I knew her helpful attempts at aid came from a good place. A good place buried real, real deep. Behind her layers of normalcy and privilege, right behind her expensive velour jumpsuit."
Excuse me, but WHAT? This woman Karen disappears in 2 pages and was not seen in the rest of the book up to where I read. Why so much description for such a nothing character? Why is it so conflicted? I can't even tell by the end whether Ava likes her or not, that description was such a rollercoaster ride.
The worldbuilding is dribbled out so piecemeal and so incomplete. Soooo, there are Greek gods and werewolves in this world? Like, ACTUAL gods that are 1000's of years old? But the main sisters are gods but they were human up to a year ago? How do werewolves fit in? Are there vampires, witches, ghosts? Not going to explain it? Ok.
They have explained multiple times what the sisters do, and there was a whole business presentation on how they use their skills to further the business.... and I still cannot explain what the other two sisters are contributing at all. Sounds like one is an assassin and one is a life insurance actuary perhaps?
I'm not a mom, but I'm 40 and a good Auntie. I have lots of friends with kids and I love hanging out with them, going their to school plays and such. I've fostered. I've enjoyed plenty of romances with single moms. I've also loved other books about supernatural matchmakers. I say all of that so you understand that going into this, I expected to enjoy it, even though I'm not necessarily the exact, target audience.
I couldn't like this. The matchmaking in the 40% of the book I read was non-existent. It's all "sassy", messy mom, all of the time. "I'm doing the best I can, and I'm a great mom! So what if I only had one client at work this morning, nothing else to do, and STILL managed to show up last to pick up my kids (again)? The Vice Principal doesn't get to call me out! I'm a GOOD mom, so he must be an asshole! I get to yell at HIM, but hey, I'm DEFINITELY NOT a Karen!" That's the vibe (and yes, that scene happens in the book, I just summarized it.)
There is a scene where a hostess at a restaurant gives her a neagtive look up-and-down and Ava gets pissed. She gives herself this strange, Miss America type pep talk about how society needs to lift each other up, not pull each other down. It's like a self-help fb meme your Great Aunt might post along with the picture of a Minion.... and Ava she immediately turns and verbally burns the hostess, embarassing her. You know, building her up, right?
Not of fan of these kind of hypocritical people with no self awareness. I don't hang out with them in real life, and I certainly don't want to read about them having all of their dreams come true.
I did not understand what those 3 guys saw in her. They must really love that she always smells of lemonade.
This book would be a 4 if it wasn't for a handful of instances that happen to be pet peeves of mine. I liked the characters and most of the world building, but some things were just never fully fleshed out until near the end of the book. The following pet peeves made appearances; daddy kink, werewolves being described as more feline than canine at times, and some areas needed better editing because the meaning was actually unclear. Overall, I liked the book and I will most likely continue with the series. I really like that the main character knew what she wanted and wasn't afraid to go after it.
Edit: added the star (which is very rare for me to UPGRADE something) because this has become a comfort reread. I just skip the stuff that pisses me off. Loved the characters and the found family.
I know - trust me I know. I know what it looks like. The cover, the title, maybe even the cheesy description were all red flags for me too. They made this one almost a surefire “I’ll get it because it’s free but I doubt I will EVER be inclined to pick it up”. HOWEVER - I *DID* pick it up, and what a warm, charming, silly, spicy, FUN book it ended up being!
Ava and her sisters are modern day Fates (the Mother, Maiden, and Crone) and they have just opened a matchmaking agency to channel their powers. Meanwhile Ava, who already has her hands full as a mom, business owner, and new supernatural, runs into a goofy wolf shifter who believes her to be his (and his pack’s) mate.
I’ve read my fair share of paranormal romances but I really appreciated the exploration of The Fates and the integration of mythology/Gods. I feel like it offered a new twist on a… very explored… genre. I thought the characters were charming and while some of the dialogue/internal thoughts had a cringey twinge here-and-there, I chose to completely buy in and eventually I began to find it funny. I also found the plot to be interesting (enough) and not just entirely a vessel to move us from spice to spice - and I always appreciate when a book achieves that. The spice was good too though, if reverse-harem is your thing!
I found myself surprisingly excited to return to this one over the course of the several days I was reading it. There was an ease and lightness to it that I found comforting.
I got this book for free on Stuff Your Kindle Day, and I’m so glad it was available because it wouldn’t have been a typical buy for me, but I am HAPPY to support this author further and continue the series.
Bonus points for a single mom, plus sized (truly yet unashamedly), age 30+ FMC !!
I saw an edit for this on Facebook and thought it looked up my alley, so gave it a shot. I'm not always a huge fan of kids in the story - nothing against kids, but I like my smut uninterrupted by thoughts of kids creeping in on group scenes 😜 I will say that kids worked perfectly in this story though.
The world-building in this book is great! I love the myth of the Maiden, Mother and Crone, so was super excited to see that Ava, our leading lady, is the Mother - see the kids def fit and kinda are a requirement. Her sisters make up the rest of the Fates. They've started a dating agency that uses their Fate powers to make the best matches (SUPER COOL CONCEPT).
I love the side characters we get introduced to in this one and cannot wait to see it expanded in future books!
The FMC! Ava is a single mom who's doing her best to get by. She's recently become the Mother, so she's navigating her new powers while raising three kids and starting a business. She meets the guys and they are integrated into her life early on in the story. She's also thrown an ultimatum by the other love Goddesses to find her fated mate(s) in order to get an endorsement that will help shoot the Agency to the next level.
The Guys! Toby, Cam, and Nate - Wolves with a tragic and dark past. They've been nomads for years travelling the country doing odd jobs and getting by. While on a stopover, Toby meets Ava in the grocery store and KNOWS she's their mate.
We have the dynamic of super keen, slow and glacial to love pace with these guys, which really breaks up the story (but in a good way).
The Smut! Some great duo and group scenes in this one! Ava's the Goddess of sensuality sooo there's bound to be some open-minded sexy times. There's also some MM action thrown in as Toby and Nate are their own couple before this book starts.
ok what a hidden gem on Kindle Unlimited! Honestly I'm surprised this one doesn't have more reviews. This kept popping up in my recommended on my Kindle app but the cover just didn't do it for me, so I kept avoiding it until someone on TikTok recommended it to me. Boy am I glad that I started reading this one!
This story gives me big Lola and the Millionaires energy. Like a lot of people, I've struggled to find an Omegaverse or RH book that gives off similar vibes but this is definitely the closest I've come. Toby gives me some Rake energy and Nate reminds me some of Matt.
I really enjoyed this book! It wasn't quite a five star for me as I think the pacing was a bit slow at times and the dialogue had some clunky moments for me, but overall, I did have a blast moving through this story!
I LOVED the way the author decided to pursue the Fate storyline and how they were depicted in this story. The idea of them being reincarnated into these human sisters and them having to suddenly figure out their powers was a really cool element to this universe.
I'm also a sucker for single parent tropes so this hit me right in the chest. I loved to see how the pack came together to support Ava and her kids, ESPECIALLY when things went down with her kids and finding out some not amazing news about her former husband who mysteriously passed away.
And of course this is a RH so you gotta know the tea on the ~spicy~ scenes and those were a-ma-zing! Some of the best written smut I've read in a while!!
Overall, I really enjoyed this one and will definitely be tuning in for Ava's sisters' stories. I have some thoughts on Phoebe and Van 👀
I’m honestly not sure how I feel about this book. I loved the characters as individuals, I love the idea of the fates being reborn and watching three sisters navigate their way around this new power. But I didn’t love how it all came together.
I loved the guys, Toby was hilarious and the scene when they first met at the grocery store had me cracking up! I loved Nate’s intensity and dedication to being the best alpha he could be by supporting those he loved. I really liked Cam but still feel like there was more left to learn about him. I adored the way the three of them accepted Ava’s boys and loved them fiercely. I even loved Van and look forward to seeing more of him in the next book.
There are spoilers here so please don’t read further if you’d like to avoid them. Like serious spoilers.
What I didn’t love was how the guys didn’t tell Ava that they were fated mates. I get that they wanted to get to know her and thought she had a lot on her plate but a significant portion of her stress came from wanting to land the endorsement from the goddesses of love first by connecting with them, preparing their pitch, and then meeting the requirements of the challenge. If she knew she had fated mates, so much of that stress could have been avoided.
Which also brings up their “clever” way of preventing Ava from bonding with a god. At least seven very capable people knew the stipulations of the trial and every single one of them assumed she needed to bond with a god? None of the werewolves wondered if their mating bond would be enough to satisfy the requirements?
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Let me start by saying that Mom to Mate is not a bad book by any means. In fact, I’m sure this could be a comfort read for a lot of people. There is great character development and the story flows very well. It also reads as a standalone, which is appealing to me as well.
The reason I rate this book 3/5 stars is because I had a hard time connecting with the characters and their love story. For starters, even though Ava Morain is in her 30s and a mom of three boys, her language (at the beginning of the book) was a HUGE turnoff for me. I believe one of the first ways she describes Toby is by calling him “adorkable” which is just… so cringe worthy. I genuinely can’t handle reading books where the MC uses childish language, so right off the bat I struggled with Ava.
I also found the men to be pretty indistinguishable from one another. Sure, you have Toby who is young and lively, but Cam and Nate felt the absolute same to me. It wasn’t until the end of the book that I actually began to tell them apart.
Overall, a book about the Fates being just normal, everyday women is a great premise but this story fell flat for me. This story opens the door to learning about other preternaturals, and I’m curious to see if vampires come into the mix (the word “henchmen” is used a lot, and combined with her sisters “stabby” nature I’m led to believe she might have vampire lovers). Would I go out of my way to read the next book? No, but if I saw someone on my feed reading it I would probably download it on KU and at least give it a shot.
This book gave me the warm fuzzies. The love and joy and big group hugs and pack cuddles was nonstop with this book, and it made me soooo happy.
Initially FMC is kind of a hot mess, a 34-year-old widowed mother of three, balancing newfound powers, three growly shifters with their own baggage to unpack, running a dating agency, a commitment to find herself a mate in order to prove said dating agency’s value, and trying to nurse her neglected relationship with her sisters back to health. She has more than proved capable of “doing it all,” and what she needs now is to allow the people who love her to refill her cup.
Even though this is a “fated mates” story, the MMCs approach her in such a sweet, low-pressure way. Well, except for the seemingly-neurodivergent youngest MMC, who might be a little too eager and unable to hide it.
The dilemma of whether or not an MMC is going to tell his partner that he suspects them of being mates is an oft-rehashed well of drama that thankfully doesn’t lead to a third-act breakup in this tome. (*cough* Feyre) How’d they manage it, you ask? The MMCs simply talked about their feelings, using words like “this is a big deal for me,” “I really like you” etc instead of just trying to pretend that everything is casual. (*cough cough* Rhysand) Amazing, these 30somethings managing to do what is so hard for so many 500 year old MCs. I know y’all get it.
Why would I sniff you? That's definitely not normal. And I, for one, am completely normal, nothing un-normal about me."
Really enjoyed this book! It was a lot of fun. I really loved that Ava was not only a single mom, but also plus sized and over 30! While I'm not a single mom, my regular mom ness totally related to her tiredness and overwhelmness. And I always love a plus size heroine, especially if she's not a tiny plus sized one, the book mentioned she was a 20 something sized plus. And she wasn't the perfect gorgeous put together all the time, but a frazzled stressed out mom. Her guys are so good too. Toby is adorable. Nate is an awesome silver "fox" (wolf) alpha and Cam sounds totally yummy. Can't wait to read the next book with her sister as the feature!
Definitely sexy, spicy and fun!
Laundry was like the mom equivalent of American Ninja Warrior, filled with obstacles and stains. You never knew when a rogue marker could be in a pocket or if your competitors had mysteriously shoved dirty clothes underneath their bathroom sink. So saying that I'd actually finished the laundry almost never happened.
DNF (did not finish). What made the book unfinishable in your opinion? I honestly wanted to like this book, but I found myself losing interest about halfway. I had a hard time relating to any of the characters. I like the fact that the female main character is a mother, but because I don't have children I couldn't relate to her struggles. The love interest seem OK, but none of them really stood out to me. The main character sisters seemed pretty amazing. Her sons were adorable. However, the rom-com vibe I got at the 37% mark in the book kind of turned me off to the story. the cliche of the main character being a matchmaker, having her match right in front of her that she doesn't realize, is not one of my favorite tropes. (Actually, I find that trope a little annoying). The mythology and the story or decent. Overall, if you can relate to motherhood, like mythology, reverse harems, or rom-coms, then this is the book for you.
Chloe has brought us to a whole new world, where we start off meeting Ava. Ava has her hands full, with her and her sister’s newly acquired fate powers, raising three boys, and trying to start and run a paranormal dating business. Then she gets introduced to our pack of three sexy men, Toby, Cam and Nate!
Chloe did such a good job world building, and balancing all the aspects of this book. I don’t always enjoy books with kids in them, because they are either too much of the focus, or they’re written as if the author has never been around children before.
Chloe knocked it out of the park in this aspect! I loved Ava’s boys, and her(and the packs) relationship with them! I also of course loved the alone moments with Ava and her guys 😜. This book is the perfect blend of amazing story, connection, and 🔥🔥. I can’t wait for her sisters’ books!
I always enjoy a good story that involves werewolves. I really loved how this story had a newer take (new to me at least) on mate bonds. This story made me laugh and had wholesome moments while also being sexy as all heck. The added addition of gods/goddesses was also fun.
The leading lady in this book was great and I felt somewhat relatable at times trying to do it all. Juggling work, family, and then re-entering the world of dating? Yeesh! The men are great and I loved seeing things from their POV as well.
Overall, some stuff felt a little rushed or sort of glossed over. But I didn't feel it took away from the story. Definitely a fun read and I also enjoyed the portrayal of polyamory. Lots of love, respect, and trust. Looking forward to reading the other books in the series for sure.
This book is so far from anything I’ve ever read, yet it had me in an absolute chokehold! There is a bit of disconnect at the very beginning that makes it extremely hard to get into, but stick it out. As other people said it feels like your being dropped into the middle of a series with no clue what’s happening. It is definitely a slow burn and not much smut but the few scenes you do get are good. There is huge character growth and the best found family I’ve read yet. The way the pack comes fully together in support of their new family is so amazing. I wanted to see more of the ladies powers. I was hoping our Persian Papi was going to be able to help them in that aspect. I also need the boys to all be immortal as well. Like please let them be. They are half their momma after all. And there definitely needs to be new pups!
This book was so adorable, funny and just sweet as pie. Ava is a single mom of 3 boys, new to the world of other and a new goddess - one of the 3 fates in fact. A chance meeting at a supermarket with a creepy sniffer sets of the story and brings Ava her 3 fated mates, a nomad werewolf pack.
I loved Ava as a character. She was refreshingly candid, funny, and gave zero effs of what others thought of her. I adored her acceptance of herself and her self confidence. The guys were a little scarred from their past and all 3 of them just really needed Ava and her boys to give them the family they all always wanted.
This was a great read about 2nd chances and really just so enjoyable- it was hard to put the book down.
Soooo. I’m kind of addicted to Chloe Gunter. She could basically write the back of a shampoo bottle and I’d definitely read and reread it, over and over. This? Is something completely different and new and I AM HERE FOR IT. Both a series and a standalone, each sister gets their own story. This is The Mother’s tale. Three human sisters have been gifted with powers and are the replacement for the Fates of myth. The Mother, happens to be single mother to three boys. If you love myths, this is so for you. Goddesses of old, arrogant gods put in there place, werewolves, smexy times, knotting, and a huge dose of humor on top of everything. Can’t wait for The Maiden’s tale!! 💜
This book was brilliantly original and so much fun! I loved the concept and the story that Chloe Gunter so fabulously weaved. Full of passion, love, loyalty and so much more that you can’t help but fall in love with these characters. Ava was such a strong and kind woman. She is definitely one of my favorite FMCs to date! Then add in her pack of Toby, Cam and Nate…what’s not to love! I love the protectiveness, respectfulness, love and loyalty they show Ava and her family. And I fell deep and hard y’all! And her kids are seriously the cutest!!
This was such a phenomenal story! So unique in all facets that I was constantly eager to read then next sentence. There is just so much to love! I can’t wait to see what Phee’s story has in store for us!
I like mythology in general but the Fates are usually pretty overlooked in any new stories so this was very nice.
The Mother, Ava, was a fun character and I liked how much she accepted herself and others. Really body positive, no matter thick or thin.
Her kids are darling and her love interests are all pretty freaking awesome as well, although I would have liked a little longer for the last one since I feel we got to know him least.
I'm stoked for the next one since I'm pretty sure that's gonna be Phee's(the Maiden) story and I think it will be as awesome, or even better than this one. The Crone will probably be amazing as well so keep them coming Chloe Gunter!
This author is new to me I saw a recommendation on a Facebook group. To be honest the title would have normally put me off, however I actually really enjoyed it as a light standalone read between series. The premise is a different take on the Mother, Maiden and Crone. Three 30 something sisters have suddenly come into powers and are struggling to learn all they need to know, they have set up a matchmaking agency for the supernatural, both for love and business matches. This book focuses on Ava, the Mother, a single mother of 3 boys. Her life is a juggle and the last things she was expecting was a bet with a goddess that she would be bonded within 3 months and 3 very handsome, hot, wolf shifters. It may not be the best written book out there however I enjoyed the storyline and characters and will definitely read the next book in the series.
