Lighthouse Letters, Part 1

Rate this book
Little did she know that opening a letter would change her life forever…

Madison Fields loved nothing more than spending summers at her grandparent’s house in Bar Harbor, Maine. Days were filled with calm mornings collecting seashells with Pop and story time with Nana on the front porch as the sun faded into the night. This summer would be no different...or so she thought. Yet all it takes is a slit of an envelope to turn her world upside down.

Left with just a letter and an aged iron key, Madison sets out to discover what it all means.

Dropping everything to pursue a dream…

Renting an RV for an adventure of a lifetime…

Finding love along the way…

An unforgettable ending…

If there’s one thing Madison learns, it’s to expect the unexpected. Come check out the crystal waters of Bar Harbor and enjoy the sun setting over the most wondrous lighthouses the east coast has to offer.

This is going to be another amazing series by Coral Harper. Madison was young when her mother had no choice but to move them to Bar Harbor, Maine to be near her parents. Madison's Nana and Pop loved having her stay with them while her mother worked, and they created a wonderful bond. Her Nana and Pop showed her how to look at things differently, so she wouldn't be anxious, nervous, or sometimes by looking at things differently, she found joy and happiness.
They were always there, like a lighthouse, guiding her with their light. It is a wonderful story and this is only the first book. Coral Harper, always has a little mystery, a little intrigue, and lots of surprises. This book has, little life lessons, and Nana and Pop's love, created so many memories for Madison. As they walk along the beach looking for sea glass, or see what is in the tidal pools, it brings to mind the ocean breeze, the smell of the ocean, and the peace that the ocean gives.

First of all - the synopsis provided by amazon was wrong!
They wrote the same for all the books in the series. If I'd know that before I wouldn't had bought this book (as much as I am attracted by lighthouses!). I guess the synopsis written belongs to Book 2 - and that would have been far more interesting that the plot of Book 1.
It was boring, bland, major events were just mentioned and then - plopp - next chapter, main event some years ago..
And the blooming romance between Clint and Madison ? they separate .. meet again - and there is no spark, no attraction any more?
and then the worst - the cliffhanger... as mentioned a few times here... WHAT??
this was when I realized that I read the wrong synopsis..
And I most certainly won't read the sequels.
(Just looking at my "reading time" - nearly a month...says it all. I quite forgot about the book all the time..)

This is the beginning of another wonderful series by Coral Harper. Newly divorced mom, Margaret, moves herself and 8 year old daught er, Madison, from Georgia back to Maine where they're originally from, to live closer to her parents. While Margaret works two jobs, Nana and Pop care for Madison and love watching her grow up, visiting the beach, finding sea glass, and listening to Nana's bedtime stories of wonderful lighthouses. I read this first book in the series in one sitting, because I could not put it down! I was grateful to receive an advanced copy from Coral Harper to read and review, and I can't wait to read book 2 in this series to follow Madison into adulthood to see what life holds for her and her mother on this journey.

Future Adventure Thanks to Grams and Pops

Madison struggled through the last years of school. She finally had her degree, but her 2 biggest supporters had passed away and she is missing her Grams and Pops. Clint is back on Madison's life and he wants to stay there. He doesn't want to let her go again and was getting ready to let her, Madison, know how he felt when a letter from her Grams lands in her hands. What adventure and who is going with her, is someone going with her

Received an early copy to leave anearly review, the above paragraph!

This is a beautifully written story that is full of emotions. It will make you laugh, cry and feel every emotion in between. The story inside this book is just as beautiful as the cover. As soon as I saw the cover I knew I had to read the book, I've always loved Lighthouses and this story was absolutely beautiful. I loved it and can't wait for the next book in this series.

Horrible, Cliff-hanger Ending!
If I had known that this ended in a Cliff-hanger, I would not have read it in the first place. This was not just a lead-in to the next book. This is a true cliff-hanger that leaves the reader not knowing how this book ends. I see it as a cheap shot to sell more books. I will not be finishing the series. I enjoyed this interesting book as I watched Madison go from a young girl to graduating from college in Florida. I liked her strong relationship with her Pop and Nana in Maine. I also liked the references to people being like lighthouses. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.

A great beginning to another episodic adventure by Ms. Harper. This is about Madison and her life after moving to Maine as a young child to be closer to her grandparents. There are laughs and lots of love but also some tears as this heartfelt book pulls you in to Madison's world. Lovely beginning!!

This is my first book by Coral Harper and I enjoyed it. I really wish it hadn’t had a cliffhanger! However, I loved the storyline and the characters. A heartwarming story of Madison as she is growing up. A quick and delightful read!
I received an advance copy of this book from the author, however, I voluntarily wrote an honest review. All opinions are strictly my own.

Great beginning to a story

Skipped a little but had to get through the story line. I can hardly wait to start the next one. Anyway, lighthouses are special to me, too.
