I have read this on webtoons before and I enjoyed it a lot. This book has been on my TMR for a while and I decided to start reading it before the movie came out. With the strong K-star casts and the novel's popularity and webtoon, I am afraid I might bump into spoiler posts on social media.
The "missions" that the MC had to go through were tightly packed there's almost no "peaceful" part throughout the book. The MC cannot catch a breath! I like the dystopian setting and the fact that the MC is actually "the reader" of the book.
I am glad the novel didn't disappoint and I enjoyed reading it! Highly recommend for those who loves K-novels.
It's such a pity that there's no published English translation of this novel -- because it's amazing! Well, I bought Interstellar's Chinese translation so I can actually read the story from a physical copy, and at first I thought I was too old (HAHA) to enjoy one of those dystopian-themed stories, but it's not the case with ORV at all. The world-building is amazing, the characters are well-written, and I literally cannot wait for the sequels to come out.
I couldn't really get into it for the first three hundred pages or so - pushed on with encouragement from a friend - and found myself getting more and more engaged once I was more familiar with the characters. Obviously this is not an ideal way of 'getting into' a book - with most books like this I would've definitely DNF'ed at around page 50 - but it really grew on me.
