Similar to the first book, the second book is full of content, and actions. This book is packed with different mythological references. Although the second book has even more settings and stories compared to the first one, I personally like the first one better.
The author is a bit obsessed with characters and mythological settings. It contains myths references from Japanese, Chinese, Korean, and Greek cultures. As a reader, it might be interesting at first glance but in reality, it was a bit cumbersome for me to follow because I can't possibly know all the gods and mythical creatures from all cultures.
There are so many characters in this book, the gods, the monsters from the streaming channels, the protagonists, the villains, and the side characters. Although it is still manageable to follow the main storyline because the book only narrates from Kim Dokja's (our MC) POV, this book feels like a buffet that has too many food choices. It looks good and sounds promising but in the end, it's too much to fit it all in the stomach.
Overall I still enjoyed and had fun reading it but I wish some of the settings and references were less complex.
