Redemption #4

A New Chapter

Rate this book
Theo left his best friend, Wolff, after a disastrous weekend and hid away in his work, ignoring any attempt from Wolff to speak to him.
But after a year of near silence, Wolff calls again.
This time he answers and can't believe his request. To be his best man when he marries Gage.
Unsure of whether it's a good idea, he decides to think it over. Can he really turn his back on the man he's loved for ten years? Of course not, but he has to own up to his feelings and face his friend.
The last thing he expected was to meet Gideon Watts, Jasper's best friend, and best man.
He was perfect, hot as hell, and perhaps exactly what Theo needed: a breath of fresh air.
When Gideon makes a suggestion that will turn Theo's life upside down, is Theo brave enough to accept his offer?
He'd be stupid not to.
This is the last book in the series and whilst it can be read as a standalone, it would be best enjoyed reading the books in order. It contains hot man-on-man loving, and strong language and is advised for 18+ age group.

This series is based in the UK and is written in British English.

Hiding behind a quiet unassuming facade J J reads and writes hot sexy stories. Stories of men loving men as well as women loving men.
What would the neighbors think!!

As long as the men are hot alpha's and the women are strong in their own right then they have a place in J J's books.

JJ also has a kinkier side and writes under the name of AG Silver. So, make sure you look out for those books too.

I was wondering how I would go with this as Theo wasn't a favourite in the previous book, but I really enjoyed this. It was a good end to the series

I liked Theo's character arc. It was nice to see him flourish under the attention of Gideon. His job was such a high stress environment and he was burnt out. It was nice to see that the author didn't blast the NHS system itself but instead the lack of support from management.

It was good to see Theo and Wolff get back on track with their friendship. It wasn't easy but they got there. Wolff did annoy me a the start with this actions towards Theo and Gideon but he was also pulled back into line by everyone else. When he was needed he jumped and helped him and that's what counts

Gideon was a great character. I really enjoyed him and his laid back attitude. His friendship with Jasper was lovely, they complemented each other well.

The relationship was well done between Theo and Gideon. They worked well together and I enjoyed how they talked and communicated what they wanted. There was one part that wasn't discussed and that came back to bite them but they talked it out and worked their way through it.

Good series

Merci a JJ. Harper de m'avoir permis de découvrir cette nouvelle histoire.

En faisant cela, elle m'a incité à me jeter sur les 3 premiers tomes que j'ai totalement dévoré.

Je mets 5 étoiles allègrement.

________

Where to start, I did not know what to expect after having read the first three volumes of this series and admit to having been transported.

This story was like a whirlwind, to stop reading, to sleep, was like torture.

Indeed, how two people so different with their past yet similar, could find each other and have the same inner feeling ... Here was my questioning ...

How to believe in love when it presents itself, when everything around you collapses and there is no visibility.

This is what Theo and Gideon showed me because with courage, generosity and risk-taking they agreed to follow what the universe offered them by agreeing to throw themselves head on in the adventure. Despite some pitfalls.

I could say more but it would spoil the pleasure offered by this "opus". What I write may sound lyrical 🤭 but my soul still sings.

Thanks to JJ. Harper for allowing me to discover this new story. By doing this, she made me jump on the first 3 books that I totally devoured.

I happily put 5 stars.

This is hands down my favorite book in this series. While Theo and Gideon are all in on each other in about 24 hours, it felt less like inexplicable instalove and more like the result of a deep attraction between two people who just got each other on pretty much every level. They have scorching hot physical chemistry, and spend plenty of time exploring it, but they also are in similar spaces in their lives-- burned out, wanting to do something new and not be alone while doing it. I liked how they made space for each other pretty much instantly, and how Gideon could see how much Theo needed someone in his corner when even Theo’s best friend seemed totally oblivious to it. Their angsty moment doesn’t last long in the face of their attraction to each other and honesty with each other, and I really liked that too. I have nothing but good things to say about them together.

In addition to the awesomeness that is Theo and Gideon, one of my favorite elements of this book is how it winds up the stories of the couples from previous books in the series: it’s nice to see Wolff and Gage, as well as Jasper and Banner in the midst of their HEAs while Theo and Gideon are finding theirs. (As an added bonus, there’s a link at the end of the book for a short story about Dominic too). I loved seeing everything turn out well for everyone, and I also loved that finally, finally, in the fourth book in the series, someone called Wolff on what an absolutely horrible friend he has been to Theo. It was nice to see him take some ownership of that, and at least *try* to change, but it was also nice just to have people say out loud that he’s kind of a spoiled brat and his friends love him in spite of it, not because of it. Don’t get me wrong, a well-meaning spoiled brat, but yeah...brat.

*I received an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

A new chapter is a book that I’ve been really looking forward to since we met Theo earlier in the series.
No recapping of the blurb here but just to say our Theo was very surprised to be asked to be best man for Wolff given they haven’t spoken for some time. It was heart filling to see both guys work through their issues especially Theo and start to rebuild their friendship.
Once Theo and Gideon meet, sparks fly and a relationship soon follows. Both men a bit burnt out by work and life in general and often when you least expect it comes someone to turn your life upside down- in all the best ways.
I loved these two guys together, they were refreshing and had banter which I really enjoyed. There were some super sexy times between them which literally could burn 🔥 you so watch out! The evolvement of the relationship felt very organic and natural, both guys in a place in their lives where they were ready for more and more they got. They did have challenges on the way but you were always confident that they would and could make it together.
So another wonderful edition to the series and as the finale it was worth the wait and whilst I’m in some ways sad the series is complete it was lovely to see everyone happy and thriving.
Thank you J J Harper for a wonderfully entertaining and gripping series- you have the knack of being able to engage the readers from the very start and keeping us entertained throughout right to the very end ♥️
So au revoir to The Redemption series , I will miss you and hopefully it’s not the last we’ve heard from them all 🤞

A Fitting End to the Series

I read the first three books in this series two years ago about Wolff, Gage and Banner and thoroughly enjoyed them but I didn’t think we were going to get Theo’s story so I was excited to see yesterday that the fourth and final book in the series had just released and Theo’s story did not disappoint.

Theo had been Wolff’s best friend for more than 10 years and secretly in love with him for just as long so we left the story with Theo heartbroken when Wolff managed to win back the love of his life Gage. Jealousy drove him back to Manchester and to cut Wolff out of his life. A year later and Wolff started ringing and texting Theo again. Eventually he answers to be told by Wolff that he is marrying Gage and wants him as his best man and he misses him.

As an A&E doctor Theo is exhausted, burnt out and lonely so putting past feelings to one side he decides to do the right thing and visit Wolff and Gage. His decision leads to him meeting Gideon, a top model, who is as disillusioned and burnt out as Theo. Neither of them were prepared for the instant attraction and enormous changes that they were to experience.

Theo and Gideon made a hot couple, they were so different but together they were perfect. I really enjoy this author’s style of writing.

You need to read at least the first book in this series to fully grasp Theo. (Well I recommend to read all the previous books since they're all good, but Theo is first introduced in Home to You). Theo did not come across as a good best friend or even a good person when he is first introduced. He seemed kinda of selfish. And boy did he redeem himself in this book. His story broke my heart and I just wanted to give him a huge hug. And I'm glad Gideon was there to give him that and a lot more. Two lost and lonely souls living completely different lives meet and recognize the pain and suffering mirrored in the other person. They gravitate toward each other and the chemistry is sizzling. They realize their occupation might have them living very differently but their occupation has caused both of them pain and need a change. Gideon and Theo slowly open up and heal each other, allowing old scars to heal and close. Of course is not all easy peasy. Life wouldn't be life without throwing in bumps in their road to happiness. Like an annoying ex who I wanted to slap, some miscommunication (but solved quickly), and learning to trust again. Wolff, Gage, Banner, and Jasper (MCs from previous books) are very involved and it was a very nice catch up to their lives. It was a very beautiful, emotional, teary, and happy conclusion to this series.

I have kinda wanted Theo’s story since I met him in book one with Gabe and Wolff’s story. I knew there was more there than he was letting on. I loved this addition to the series! Theo and Gideon are perfect together and I am glad to see all of the couples get their HEA. Theo ghosted his best friend after he got back together with Gabe so he was shocked to get a call asking him to be his best man at the wedding. He realizes just how much he has missed his friend and feels so much better getting everything off his chest and clearing the air between them. Gideon’s best friend Jasper is also getting married and now he gets to also meet the circle of friends that has gathered around him. Can a burnt out doctor and a model fed up with the rat race figure out what to do with their lives now? Better yet, can they do it together? Neither man was looking for love, but it hits them when they least expect it. A good story of forgiveness and friendship and not giving up on ampm instant connection.

Simply Fantastic 💞💞

WOW..... What an amazing series another brilliant read by JJ Harper. Theo & Gideon are simply perfect together as soon as they meet the chemistry between them it sizzles its so hot but sexy. Theo agreeing to be best man for is best friend Wolff when he marries Cage even though he hasn't spoken to him for a year through is own jealousy but that changes as soon as he meets Gideon who's there to be best man for Jasper & Banner. Both of them are fed up with their jobs Theo is a doctor who's stressed exhausted is workload is crazy but he's so lonely, but when he meets Gideon he brings him to life, Gideon a model he feels the same about is job and in meeting Theo who wants him for himself and not what he can give him someone so special. (I do love the scene when they get drunk together with vodka and smoke a joint so funny but turns to sexy times) it's beautiful, emotional but amazing recommend so much. 💞💞

M/M
Quick read (under 3 hours)
Instalove
Low angst
Super sweet
Great world building
Great characters
Great chemistry

This can definitely be read as a standalone but if you plan to read the series then read them in order. There are updates on the previous couples in this one, as well as a pivotal special moment for them written into this one. Personally I wasn't fond of the joint celebration. It's kind of tacky. Otherwise this was a pretty perfect book. I do wish it was longer and their romance was developed a bit more realistically over time which is why I didn't give it 5 stars. Still I would definitely recommend this. I think if you read the previous books then u will love this conclusion and if you haven't read the previous books u will still love it if you like sweet instalove stories and the fabulous group of side characters will make you want to go back and read the others too.

The Best Chapter yet!
A New Chapter, book 4 in The Redemption series brings together the characters from the other books and gives us Theo's and Gideon's story. It's a fitting and brilliant end to the series. Theo and Gideon have a lot in common both feels slightly outcast from their friend group, Gideon Jasper's model friend looks at them all and see a tight group of friends, not knowing where He'll fit in, but Theo feels a similar way, will his friendship with Wolff still be the same after a year away, Theo was in love with Wolff and he moved away from them after his heart break. A year later and Wolff is still trying to get his best friend back, he wants Theo to be his best man. Theo and Gideon both hit it off when they meet, the characters are well written and their personality rings out when reading the book. It's a wonderful story of attraction, love and friendships.

Right time, right place, right frame of mind! Theo walked away from his best friend Wolff, and gave a good impression of being a workaholic. He buried himself in his work ignoring all attempts of communication. After a year, he responds to wolf and agrees to stand up with him as his best man while he marries Gage. Theo, meets Gideon and they each feel an instant connection. Both are bruised broken men dragging heavy baggage. Are they each who the other needs at that point in time in their lives? Will they serve as catalysts for the next phase of their lives. They explore a friendship, finding healing at the same time. They have drama and some conflict, but they are food for each other's souls. These men are likeable and redeemable. The universe is at peace. Good story! Well done! I reeived an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Excellent!! I was excited to get Theo and Gideon’s story. I seriously loved the whole group of friends, they add a whole level of complexity to the story and make it so much better! When Theo ghosted his best friend, I felt so many emotions! Thankfully he got a second chance with being his best man. Gideon’s best friend is Jasper and he’s also getting married. Neither Theo nor Gideon were looking for love but they got their HEA as only JJ Harper can give! Loved I loved every thing about this story! Overall this was a really enjoyable story, really well written, highly recommend. I’m voluntarily reviewing from an advanced copy that I received. Finally Book 4 in the Redemption Series. I'm sad that this series is ending but this books starts with Wolff and Theo finally getting their act together and resuming their friendship. This leads to best man duties as Wolfe and Gage have decided to tie the knot. They all meet up with Jasper and Banner and then Jasper's best friend Gideon turns up. Everyone recognises him except Theo and this makes Gideon attacked to him. Wolff warns Theo to leave Gideon alone but this just pushes them together. A wedding or two is planned and then off Theo and Gideon go to travel the world. It ends with a surprise and I hope to get the bonus chapter to read more. What a great series I would recommend this series to everyone

5 stars 🌟 for Gid and Theo

This book is just another fantastic addition to this series!!! I've liked Theo's character from the beginning and couldn't wait for his closure with Wolff, they have such a strong friendship and platonic love, this parallel story line was written so beautifully along with the main story line of Theo and Gideon....I loved how Theo came to terms with his feelings and that Wolff proved to him time and time again just how much he needed his best friend in his life...... I loved Theo and Gideon together, they were such kindred spirits...both burnt out with their careers, lonely and lost....perfect for one another!!! They were Perfectly sweet, perfectly hot, and perfectly imperfect!! I couldn't get enough of their cuteness and getting to see all of the other characters from previous books was just the icing on this cake!!! I highly recommend this book and the rest of this series!!

Awe… I got all the feels. I loved this book along with Theo and Gideon. This was a very good read and I throughly enjoyed it. The book was a bit sad at the beginning and at certain parts and I teared up a little. The book was also steamy and heartwarming and we get more of Wolff, Gage, Jasper and Banner. I’m so happy Gideon and Theo found each other even though they weren’t looking to settle down and the had the whole insta love happening the first time they met at a Brunch with their best friends with their fiancé’s. Loved it ,so good and I ended the book with happy tears and a little laugh. A Must Read!

IT'S ALL GOOD!!!

This is a FANTASTIC addition to THE REDEMPTION SERIES. Theo who is a successful trauma doctor is terribly lonely. Missing his friends, he needs to make some changes. Gideon is a world traveling fashion model. He's exhausted. When these two meet the stage is set. Their situations are kind of parallel. Finding happiness among the engaged love birds is not a stretch. This is a story that is easy to sink into. This is a FANTASTIC story about not being afraid to reach for what you want. To step forward and grab your dream with both hands. I loved this Book. It's fresh, funny, hot and happy. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK AND THE REDEMPTION SERIES!!!!!!!!

Wolff reaches out to Theo to be his bestman and opens up the way for reconciliation. Theo meets Gideon on his visit and they hit it off immediately. However, they have baggage from the past, an ex, unfulfilled work situations. In other words a normal life.
That is what makes this series so awesome as J.J. Harper makes it so realistic that you feel like you could be part of the story and one of the friends.
A new chapter starts for all six of the main characters and if my wish comes true, possibly for more friends we meet.

Wow, what a great ending of the series.

This is the last book in the redemption series, where Theo,Wolffs formers bestie, comes back to London. I think everyone thought About Theo not the best things after his behavior while the reunion of Gage and Wolff.

Wolff is asking Theo to get his best man and the decision sion to do this, will change his total life as he is at a point where he doesn’t know how to survive his actual job. Coming back to the group of Wolff and Gage he meets Gideon and the story starts.

As usual JJ puts such a lot of emotions in her books and I love her type of writing.

I highly recommend the Redemption series.

This is the final book in this series, and also the longest.
Gideon is a childhood friend of Jasper. He comes back to see Jasper and tell him he’s leaving modelling.
Theo is Wolff’s best friend and has finally agreed to visit him again after a very lonely year.
When Theo first meets Gideon he is captivated by the most beautiful man he has ever seen. And Gideon is just as smitten. When Wolff threatens him to keep his hands to himself both Gideon and Theo set out to keep the promise but Gideon figures a way around it.

I received this book from GRR. This is my honest review.

I loved this book. Sweet with lots of steam. Two main characters you will fall in love with. Theo was in love with his estranged best friend Wolff. After a year of silence Wolff calls Theo asking him to be his best man. Theo reluctantly agrees. He takes time off and meets up with Wolff and his fiancee Gage. While there he meets up with Gage's best man Gideon. The two hit it off immediately. They spend all their time together and become close. Could this be a new chapter in both Theo and Gideon's life. Couldn't put it down. I highly recommend.

A New Chapter is the best book in The Redemption Book series. I love Theo and Gideon together and their chemistry is sexy and hot. There's instant love, low angst, some funny moments and it was great to see the previous characters. Wolff trying to keep Theo and Gideon apart really made my day. Theo isn't happy with his life and neither is Gideon after coming and being around their friends they see there's more to life than just working. These two get a second chance and I'm not looking forward to this series ends.

There is so much love among the men that form the community that is written about in the redemption series. It was bound to be catching. When Theo meets Gideon both are in need of just that. Both men are successful in their careers but lonely in life and in need of a respite. When they meet on the occasion of Gage and Wolff's wedding they find a love neither was expecting or looking for but seemed a fitting outgrowth of the joyous struggles towards HEA that this series has carried us through. What a lovely ending this story was to this series.

Wow loved Gideon and Theo story.
When Wolff rang Theo, Theo was debating whether or not to answer. But being asked to be Wolff best man,Theo was shocked but went up for the weekend to see how it went.
Gideon was having a break from modeling and was to be Jasper's best man. But when Theo and Gideon met over brunch they clicked, they understood each other at a deep level.
Brilliant read highly recommend

Love unrequited can be quite heartbreaking and I always advocate distance and time and that is what Theo gets right here... until he answers the call. There's something to closure that comes from putting feelings to rest once and for all like from a wedding. I love revisiting our previous protagonists and now getting to see Theo as the hero in his own story as he finds love with Gideon. Awesome series as expected from JJ Harper! *** ARC review ***

Ok read. Insta love so suspend belief a little.

Honestly this book just reminded me how I much I disliked Wolfe. I never felt he deserved a HEA as I don't feel like he ever fully redeemed himself after what he did to Gage. Then in this book he acts shocked Theo was in love with him even though Josh told him this in book 1 or 2? Plus he acted like a dick a few times.

Theo and Gideon were very sweet together though and I'm always happy with a vers couple which they were :)

Theo and Gideons story.

Theo we’ve met before as Wolff’s best friend. Gideon is Jasper’s best friend. An emergency room doctor and a fashion model, totally different worlds, both burned out by their jobs.

Nice writing highlighted this story. This may of been the best of the series. All the boys figured prominently. A little angst, a fairy tale ending. Happy Ever After for all of them.

I received an arc of this book.

As much as I’ve loved all of the characters in this series, sometimes I want the book to lean more towards the specific couple, not all of the friends.

I would have liked to see more of Gideon and Theo on their trip, being in each other’s pockets at first, just more of the romance.

I did quite enjoy how much they didn’t care about other people and went with their feelings. They were a great pair!

Talk about surprises planning a wedding! Theo, hiding his feelings by being a workaholic agrees to help out a man he hasn't seen in years by being his best man. In doing so, he meets Gideon, who is doing exactly the same thing. Fortunately, they acknowledge their instant connection and let it bloom. An all around feel good ending to this series that beings Theo 180 degrees from where he started in book one.

The 4th and final book in the series is a great one, Theo has had radio silence with his best friend Wolff since he realised his love would never be returned. When Wolff calls and ask Theo to be his best man Theo knows it’s time to make changes to every part of his life. The story catches up with all the previous characters, giving us chance to see their relationships continue, it’s an absolutely brilliant last book in the series and ties everything up nicely
