But more than that, they know that they are extending an invitation to join a warm community and share in a vibrant culture. I enjoyed reading this with a "I know nothing " perspective. My husband brews mead and his brother does liquor, neither beer. I requested this book because I wanted to have insight as we start attending local homebrewing events. I found this book to be helpful. I have probably drank beer twice in my life, corona and bud lite, now I have a respect for craft and I'm going to go to these events with a better understanding of what craft beer really is. This book talked about the success and struggles of breweries along with the community bond that many of these businesses harvest. I would have liked to have learned a little more about equipment and processes, but I'm sure that's for another book. This focused on individuals and goals. The photographs in this boom were amazingly beautiful and artistic, excellent quality. I am so glad I read this and I am looking forward to my experiences with the craft brew community.
