Mental health is a topic that actually needs attention, but how many of us is actually willing to sit down and talk about it

The book shows how you can overcome addiction when you have the right direction and willing to seek professional help.

At first, it was too heavy to handle the intricacy of characters and because of it, I could not guess the turn of upcoming events in this story.

This book is all set in the beautiful Nainital where there is a mental hospital & this book is all about the patients life doctor's life connected to it
Join the journey with Dr. Manoj Sinha our protagonist, who is struggling in life and wants to run away from his past.
The story is about people and their circumstances and aspirations. The book uses its setting to create circumstances.
Each character is a searcher of expectation, with a steady either impediment.

This story is set in a mental health clinic situated in Nainital. This is the story about the patients and the doctors present in this clinic. Each character is different and all their stories are connected through this clinic.

The story starts Dr. Manoj Sinha who is the main protagonist and he has recently been through a tough divorce. To cope with this divorce, he is sent to this clinic and there he meets the other doctors and patients. But he has a rough start there since he is kind of reckless and doesn’t always obey the law.

He gets on the wrong foot with Dr. Naina Mehra as he hands a cigarette to a patient. He might be rash but he is a good doctor and cares for his patients. Soon he is accepted by the people there in the clinic as his unconventional ways seems to be working. He is assigned their most important case of Ayaan who has stopped talking and they are trying to get a response out of him.

The book is slow paced but it is because it’s a very character driven story. At first I was quite confused since there were so many characters introduced one after the other, but after 100 pages I got to know all of them and discovered they were all unique with their own personalities and struggles.

This book wasn’t just about the struggles of the patients of the clinic but also about the struggles of the doctors. We can see throughout the book that everyone is fighting their demons and trying to overcome it. They had all made mistakes before which made the characters feel very real and everyone was trying to be the better version of themselves and move on with their life. There are many characters in this book and by the end we get a beautiful interconnected story of these people.

Overall, I enjoyed this book so much more than I was expecting and got so invested in the story. This book felt very hopeful to me and I’d definitely recommend this book.

Mental health is an aspect which is largely ignored and misunderstood. People usually take it for granted and only focus on something which is not abstract in nature. Even in the present world when awareness regarding it is growing, it has become more of a business rather than actually empathizing with those souls who are constantly suffering from it .

'Hoodwinking Hope' comes as a breath of fresh air in the times of turmoil. It narrates the story of people around us and specifically how doctors can also go through the same set of agonising pains and struggles which we don't even associate with them as we consider them as immortals .

The book through the eyes of the protagonist Dr.Manoj Sinha who is carrying a lots of baggage from a not so ideal past ,shows a mirror to the society and acts as a reflection to day to day deeds of a common man. Dr. Sinha is given the responsibility of treating patients in a hospital dedicated to those suffering from some or the other finer aspects of psychological diseases and there begins a spectacular turnaround in the way he and the people around him perceives things.

The book is a really good attempt in making people realize the essence of humanity. How often it is seen that we (including me) judge anyone and everyone and pass our unworthy opinions without even knowing the battle he or she is fighting. The cover is beautiful and the story personifies itself as someone with a very calm demeanor. The kind of serene impact it can have on the psyche of readers is unmatchable. Most people might find it a slow read which it actually is but it was somehow needed to comprehend the intricacies of human behaviour.

All in all a wonderful spectacle of emotions.

🌸Once I read that....

"We often run for all the luxuries, the pleasures, The Wealth
But what about the most important thing
The Mental Health?"

Well, this book proves it right!

My friends, have you ever thought about it that....

In between all the hustle and bustle, we are continuously losing ourselves?

How the depression, anxieties issues are increasing?

People are being more unhappy than ever, even those who have almost everything?

Or, would you like to read a book that shows you the importance of mental health and how to maintain it?

If, yes then this book is for You!

Amid, all the rise of reels or other seemingly cool things, most people are actually suffering from mental health issues.

Especially during the pandemic, this problem has become very big.

And out of all these things, the men's mental health is the most messed up thing.

Not that the woman doesn't suffer from it but the issue with men is more complex!

Most of them can't share their feeling, sometimes nobody wants to list and sometimes society makes fun of them.

And, now, it's time that we take the matter into our own hands and do something about it.

That's why today I want to tell you about this book.

One of my best reads on this topic, it shares the pain, the reasons people went through such a time, and how we can help them.

Honestly, I don't think there are enough words to describe this awesome work. But still, I would like to share somethings

So, let's dive into.....

📕 What it's about?

The story starts with Dr. Manoj Sinha, a young guy who once felt like the happiest person on this planet.

But now it started falling up.

As something went wrong between him and Priya (his wife).

Like most people, Manoj couldn't understand the reasons, and one day all his emotions exploded!

Resulting in a big fight between him and Priya.

Here, both of them were suffering and weren't able to find a way out.

Plus, their daughter. Oh! That innocent child had to face all this.

So, one day when things reached their limits.

Manoj found himself alone and went to a hospital in Nanital as a visiting faculty.

This place was beautiful, the hill stations, the calmness, everything was really good.

Now, he went to this new workplace with lots of dreams! And got introduced to everything by other doctors.

After all the briefing he ended up with Dr. Naina Mehra.

Naina was completely opposite of him, she had a never seen dedication, discipline, and the will to surpass even Dr. Srivastava (her superior)

Naina was handling the mental health patients, listening to their stories, and counseling them.

Though she didn't appreciate this new guy in her work she let him in!

Now, the rules were clear Manoj just had to observe her and learn the art of helping those people.

But as expected, very soon Manoj and his different style took off.

The patients somehow found him amazing and started opening up to him.

However, Naina didn't like it but she just went ahead with it! Until Ayan....oh man! the guy with the most complex case and Naina's probable ticket to an awesome future.

None of the doctors was able to understand Ayan or even make him talk.

But guess what? Manoj did the impossible.

He made him eased up and even gave him cigarettes, Wooh!

And here comes the twist....the guy who was out of even the most experienced doctor's reach suddenly opened up to a rookie.

And as you might have guessed, this was a new twist in Manoj's life.

A doctor who himself had anxiety, anger issues was now helping other people.

So....

What will happen now? How will Naina react to it?

Will Manoj win his inner battle? Will he sort things out with his wife? Or something else will happen

And most importantly, what exactly happened with Ayan? Will he ever become normal?

And, where this new life will take Manoj?

Wooh! Things are getting intense. And don't ask me more.

Read this book to know all these things, guys ;)

🔷 What I liked the most:-

1️⃣. First of all the concept of this book is very impressive.

I mean you can find many books about mental health but this one is on a whole different level.

As, it shows the issues of all kinds of people, like:-

•Someone with drinking issues

•A soldier who is going through PTSD

•A husband who cheated and ruined everything

•A student who made terrible mistakes and can't handle the situation, etc.

The fact that it shows so many stories and all sorts of people helps us to get a broad view of things.

It helps us to understand, to feel the pain of people around us, to accept the pain we are going through.

And how we can help in such situations.

Also, by using Dr. Manoj Sinha's story, the author has shared everything wonderfully.

I mean, we can understand so much without getting bored, amazing, isn't it?

2️⃣. Now, the way our author has narrated the story is cool!

Every character, their backstories, what they are thinking, the emotions, the situations, everything is shown in a beautiful way.

This helped me to understand the book on a deeper level.

And the best thing is that I could relate to a lot of things.

Like, the feeling of missing out or the pain of regret, getting betrayed, etc.

Honestly, I feel that it scratched many of my suppressed memories and helped me to eventually get over them, kinda healing.

3️⃣. The character of Dr. Manoj, shows the lack of awareness towards mental health!

Especially how many men don't even accept that they are depressed or how the condition is getting worse day by day.

It's like an eye-opening thing.

4️⃣. Though it has a great writing style, story.

I still think that the USP of this book is the lessons it shares with us.

These lessons are and will always be a must-read for everyone.

They somehow solved a lot of my inner riddles! And made me realize that how the smallest of things can make the biggest change in our lives.

All we need to do is to be aware, accept the reality and understand the very core base of our mindset, believes, actions, etc.

💫Some of these lessons are:-

✓ Always have self-belief, and keep moving forward, keep improving

✓ The best gifts come in disguise of troubles

✓ Everything happens for a reason, you might not understand it yet but one day you will

So, don't stop, don't give up!

✓ Never judge someone blindly, maybe the person you think is rude or dumb is going through some mental health issues

✓ If you feel low, lonely, then talk to someone.

Asking for help is the best thing to do in such a case and believe me many people would love to help you.

✓ Try to understand the situation, the emotions of your loved ones. You never know who's going through what

✓ Most of the time the biggest fights happen due to the smallest misunderstandings.

So, communicate properly, communicate your opinion, your feelings, etc.

Liked these lessons? Well, these are only a few, guys.

Many more are waiting for you inside the book.

💥So, if you are looking for a great read or something really helpful.

Then, go with this one. I am sure you will it.

Cheers!!

🌠My rating:- 5/5

//TW: Mental Health, Dysfunctional family//

✿ Binding the dichotomy of lives '𝐇𝐎𝐎𝐃𝐖𝐈𝐍𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐇𝐎𝐏𝐄' 𝐁𝐲 𝐀𝐃𝐈𝐓𝐘𝐀 𝐒𝐇𝐀𝐇 potrays how the reality can be very different we see how the ones on whose shoulders lies the duties of listening to various problems of people and giving them mental stability are in reality can also be the ones who are struggling with their own inner demons

The story revolves around the people of different backgrounds and live struggles coming together as their paths crossed in a mental health clinic of Nanital

The protagonist Dr. Manoj Sinha, an upcoming therapist, whose marriage is on the verge of breakage runs to Nanital to give himself some time and to seek solance. When battling through this tragedies here Nanital throws another new set of challenges for him from hostile colleagues, to new love, ties of old love and an interesting case of a patient

There are many characters in the book all fighting their own battles, some running away from it, some concealing it from everyone. The whole story is narrated from these characters' povs which made it very easy to understand their perspective. All the characters have diverse backgrounds and different perspectives towards life which made it very interesting to read. Each of theirs stories of struggles and hardships gives us different lessons to remember. The writing style was rhythmic yet very easy to understand

This was a character driven story since I am more inclined towards plot driven ones here at place I felt a little dragged and lacking in depth since. I was expecting a bit more plot development and at some places there were emphasis on certain characters which actually didn't hold much value though inclusion of those gave the story a realistic view but it also made me a little confused in the beginning

Overall this 400+ pages book is a enjoyable read to sit back in your couch and indulge in the lives of these people, their ups and downs, fight and peace, all their glooms and glories. What I liked the most are the picturesque vision of the surroundings and the non-preachy style of writing about mental health issues and the dilemma of those struggling with through their own eyes.
This book also talks about the importance of family, dynamics of different relationship and facing your own realities. This book is a beautiful read which I will recommend to everyone and can we just agree how elegant the cover is like acrylic drawing. Definately recommending this book to everyone.

ABOUT THE BOOK
'Hoodwinking hope' is Author's debut novel that is based on human sufferings and it's consequences. This book starts with haphazard married life of Dr.Sinha.He was suggested by his friend to shift to Nainital and take time to rejuvenate.
Dr.Shrivastav, Dr.Iyer, Dr.Indrajit, Dr.Mehra, Satish,Vidya etc. we're working in the same hospital in Nainital. Dr. Sinha joined them and started working over there. Dr. Mehra didn't like his reckless behavior and disliked the fact that Dr.Shrivastav asked Mehra to include him in her management group and counselling session.Author penned down about how each of the characters were going through some problems in their personal life. Some lost the purpose in life, some were detached from their family.Manoj couldn't tolerate the growing distance between him and his daughter.
But for how long things would go this way?
Vidya set an example of boldness and liberty by sticking to her reality and shifted to Delhi for better growth.Iyer's attachment with Annie and meeting of Iyer with his ex- wife after years made his path clear. On the other hand Sinha started having some feelings for Naina. It was Ayaan's catatonic depression case that brought two of them closer.
But Naina being a therapist herself could perceive something was going wrong with Manoj. Iyer's visit to Priya's apartment to find the truth about Sinha turned Naina's life upside down.
REVIEW
This novel is very intriguing. The author has involved the life story of many characters.
Sometimes it happens that due to many characters we get confused, but the way the author has
penned the story, it is very easy for readers to understand the characters. My favorite
characters are Annie Silva (Patient of Dr. Iyer) and Dr. Mehra.
This novel is very thoughtful. It passes the message that our personal and professional life
should be balanced. This book alsodelivers that we should never take our closed ones for granted. Mental health is an issue that
most of the population takes lightly. But you never know if a person who looks perfectly normal
is also going through some mental health issue.
The language is easy to read. I finished reading this book in two sittings.  The author has played
beautifully with words and there is crispness in his writing style. The title is suitable for it's
content and the cover is pretty.
Overall this book is worth reading.

Mental health is a topic that actually needs attention, but how many of us is actually willing to sit down and talk about it. Not many, right? We all share about mental health issues on our social media accounts, telling people to open up and share their perils and insecurities, but in reality we react a lot differently. As much we are open to discussions on our social media about mental health, in real life we tend to close our doors for them. Sometimes we just ignore the whole situation by saying 'chill..you just are overthinking' and that ends the whole conversation. 'Hoodwinking Hope' is a story that centers around few doctors and their dealings with patients suffering from mental health issues and also their interactions with their own sufferings. The plot starts with Dr. Manoj Sinha arriving at Charitable Clinic of Minds in Nainital. Manoj Sinha whose intention of shifting from Delhi to Nanital was to refresh himself from the already stressed relationship and work life of his, ended up helping and discovering a lot through this hospital with assistance of Dr. Anmol, Dr. Ayush, Dr. Naina and Dr. Aniket.
.
I don't want to give away much of the plot because it's a book that slowly unfolds everyone's life and perspectives. So, it is preferable that one read through their own eyes about it. The book gives you multiple perspectives from all the characters and that's what makes it even more interesting. The multiple insights help us in understanding each character better, gives us a proper understanding about their aspirations and goals and also their sufferings.
.
One interesting concept that I loved about this book is that it not only talks about mental health patients, but also gives importance to the mental stress faced by the doctors. This book didn't spare the thinking that doctors can't go through that phase. Of course they do. And probably they are one's who works under stressful environment the most.
.
Overall I like this book. It was a slowly paced read that actually needs a lot of concentration. Definitely a recommended read!

Hoodwinking Hope by Aditya Shah is a well-written novel based on a group of doctors, staffs and patients in a mental health clinic, Nainital. The protagonist, Dr.Manoj Sinha, is in mental stress.

His behaviour went wrong with his wife and she decided to leave him.

"At this juncture in time, the only voice... which pulled him out of the abyss was that of his daughter, Dhriti."

His friend suggests him for a refreshment. He arrives in Nainital and a lot of things happen in his life. How he finds a mental health clinic with a friend?

"Dhruv and I used to compete – it was the backbone of our friendship – we needed to be on point when it came to medical school. Both of us started this clinic under the brand name, Clinic of Minds. After that, we both grew into different people with time."

The book delves into our psychology very well to develop a plot based on one's mental exhaustion and its repairing through good company.

Annie interrupted, “I want details.” She smiled mischievously, “Do you have a girlfriend, Ranjit?” Ranjit choked on air. “I don’t have time for girlfriends. I have a lot of work to do.”

The book apart from the lead characters mention many other ones side by side to make the novel full of twist. Each character's presence can be felt to have a sound purpose.

My favourite quotes from the book:

🔳"I had thought that if I didn’t talk about it – if I swept it under the carpet – then eventually my problem would fade away."

🔳"The world thinks that I am a kind soul trying to make the world a better place. A lie my family believes. The truth is, I picked this because it was the most comfortable option."

The book stresses on our will power to comeback from a setback. Every chapter is full of vitality,love,sorrows,heart-breaking past and other engaging elements to make the novel a must read.

Its lovely, colourful cover is enough to make the book a must pick.

Perpetual anticipations to live life on own plans, hanker always beneath the layer of realities, duties and responsibilities that eventually subdue human, those hopes that sometimes used to encourage one later becomes parasites devouring humans to the core, leaving them futile.

Here story of the book with so apt title "Hoodwinking Hopes" is a narrative of psychologically struggling people whose all anticipations remain hankering beneath the layers of realities they face. Story here is fictional but much relatable, focused on realities and complexities of human life.

It sets in incredibly beauteous Nainital, there anchoring character of the story Manoj Sinha, who is at the verge of divorce and struggling relation with wife now gets shifted to charitable clinic of mind. There he introduces with other doctors, patients and other members. As story progresses, it reveals the bitter fact which may be unnoticed that doctors too face psychological issues like other persons though they sound great while dealing with patients. Each of character narrated here has their own personal and professional issues, making efforts to maintain them. Some have lost and some have fear of loosing something or anything, be it love, dear one, relation, morale or even hope to live. though they are faithful to their Hopes. Last couple of chapters reveal a twist that comes like blow, unexpected ! but it ends with positive note.

Story is middle paced, narrated in first person perspective. Content is divided into 46 chapters dedicated to each characters narrating their own part making the story whole. That way of depiction by the characters perspective keep readers around the plot, let us know characters more nearly. Language is reader - friendly and engaging throughout. I would say it's definitely enlightening and delightful to read it.

Hoodwinking Hope sets in the backdrop of Nainital and revolves around Dr Manoj Sinha, a therapist. Taking a break from his past complex life, he tries to start fresh there. While he slowly recovers and diverts himself from his complicated marital life, the progressive events didn’t turn up to his expectations. An absolute psychological story yet very atmospheric one that would genuinely let you know the degree of accuracy about what’s happening in their lives? Both personally and professionally. Read this book to know - the wholesome impacts on how individuals and doctors interactions at a mental health clinic makes a difference?

At first, it was too heavy to handle the intricacy of characters and because of it, I could not guess the turn of upcoming events in this story. How can you just put it together in a single picture - the patient’s struggles and hesitations? Doctors worries? How can one possibly predict the future of characters? and their road of self-discovery?

It was kind of unsettling and confused at first, to figure out what is what and where it takes the readers to. It took me a lot of time and chapters to really get into this cusp of the story. There is so much that happens in here, it’s not just only about the plot and characters that are depicted but the light this book throws you into the action right to get a glance of - ‘we exist in moments and nothing more or less.’

The author captures the essence of real life. Once in a while readers should pick a book like this. Which tests the system. The absolute BEST aspect is that he captured the feelings of passion and confusion well. If I must point out one thing about this hoodwinking hope is that it doesn’t over-explain anything. He just laid the narratives just like that, Candidly!

Amazing Book

Some books are good and some are extraordinary, this is the latter. The storyline and the storytelling of the book is amazing and so well written.

The story is of a not so happy family of Priya who is an architect, Manoj Sinha is a doctor who works for people who need mental help in anyway and their daughter Dhriti. Things hasn't been going the way Manoj has expected his marriage to go, hence he is very frustrated and with the advice of his childhood friends advice who also is a doctor Dr Karan Chakravarty's advice, he goes to work is a smaller clinic in Nainital where Dr Karan feels the change of setting and the greenery around will help Manoj.

There Manoj meets Dr Naina Mehra along with the other doctors and the patients.

How does Manoj's life change from here? Does his relationship with Priya get fixed? What about Dhriti? What's the ending of the story?

One definitely needs to get this book and read it, it addresses a very big issue which I think is the highlight. It's a very easy and simple story in the beginning but the twists and turns in the book are mind-blowing and by the end of the book, I had goosebumps. I think the author has written a book which MUST BE READ BY EVERYONE.

I really wish I could give reasons as to why everyone must read it, unfortunately I would give the plot away if I state the reason.

The writing style is simple, the descriptions of characters, places and situations are very nice. I really feel like taking a holiday in Nainital or any hill station now. The suspense of the Book- unimaginable. The book is fast paced and last but not the least is the cover, it's the best cover I ve seen in a while, Absolutely brilliant and very apt to the story too.

𝐇𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐇𝐨𝐩𝐞

by 𝐀𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐲𝐚 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐡

🍁The story revolves around some group of people at a mental health clinic set in the beautiful backdrop of Nainital.

🍁The story throws light on the lives of these people and talks about their mentality and pov about the concerned topic of "mental health". It shows how some people wants to redefine their purpose of life by seeking treatment while some people just tries to overshadow it and even fears acknowledge them openly.

🍃Mental health is such an important thing to be considered in an overall well being of a person. But everyone tends to overshadow it very quickly and the truth is one really wanna talk about it openly. And most oftenly, it is also considered as a sign of mental illness, madness, psychological sickness and much more.

🍁The story also introduces us to the protagonist, Dr. Manoj, a therapist who tends to live a normal happy life outside but there is something hidden deep in his heart, something curious he was always running from. He wants to start a fresh life with a new set of hopes and dreams but life has some more complicated plans for him.

🍁This book is such a delight to your heart and mind. The book talks about such a sensitive matter in a very well curated form.

🍁The cover is so esthetic to look at and immediately catches your attention at the very first site.

🍁Also the concept used to weave the story is executed excellently.
The narration is also lucid and easily understandable.

You can speak so much about this book.Meanwhile you will end up speaking nothing. You can surely take it in both positive and negative way
So this novel is all about relations and mental health. It is story of group of doctors, therapist to be precise, who tries handling mentally unstable people at a clinic in Nainital. There are many doctors and few non doctor staff in the clinic.Everyone have been going through rough phase and is working hard to get back on track.Inter staff romance can be better term to describe the basic plot.It mainly focuses on sharing problems with someone so that we can exhaust our pain and sufferings, which can surely help us heal
To be honest, there are too many characters in the arena. And to keep track of every individual was quite stressful in the beginning but it is understandable after first 100 page. The book gives us brief idea about the inside life of therapist, like even if they go through rough phase in their personal lives they have to keep it seperate from their professional lives.. You need to get stoned to be a better therapist
I feel this book didn't require about 400 pages to come to an end..The plot was elongated and exaggerated. It is a light read to be precise,a tale about healing and love. But you cannot focus same thing being repeated for so long. The Plot is quite predictable, looks like a dead end on many points and can push you to keep reading. But no deflection on ECG is quite boring.I mean to say there are rare ups and downs.Even if there are few,the deflections aren't of that high magnitude which can attract readers

FAB - BOOK REVIEW OF "Hoodwinking Hope" by Aditya Shah.

Rating: 5/5

QOTD: Which book are you anticipating reading which is all about Mental Illness?

"Hoodwinking Hope," written by Aditya Shah, is a beautiful book that will just connect to the reader's heart from the moment you start reading it. This is one of the best fictional books that has portrayed mental health issues so perfectly. This is the story of Dr. Manoj Sinha, who is not content with his life as he parted ways with his wife Priya and their daughter Dhriti. To get out of the guilt and memories of his family, he did as his friend Dr. Karan, a therapist and friend of Manoj, has suggested, i.e., to transfer to Nainital and join in the clinic of minds. There in Nainital, he becomes close with Dr. Naina, with whom he shared a special bond.
.
I really liked how the characters have been developed, and also about the relationship between patients and doctors was also addressed so beautifully. The way the author has narrated the story about the charters, places, and their lives was confounding. At the start, I didn't connect that much as I felt that many characters were introduced at the beginning, which made me a bit confusing but later on when the story builds, it doesn't seem any problems to the reader at all, which he best thing that an author can do "To cover the mistake that was made before with beautiful writing that comes further."

Book Name- Hoodwinking Hope
Author- Aditya Shah
Review- Hoodwinking Hope has a very interesting story line as it covers complex life decisions and dilemma faced by our front line fighters. The prefix ‘Dr’ holds a lot of value with it but what is unseen is the sacrifice they make to live with this prefix. The plot revolves around mental health doctors and our protagonist Dr. Manoj Sinha. No one can ecer imagine a therapist who himself is fighting a lot of life battles all by himself far away from his family. It gives a new perspective towards the Drs whom we rely on as we presume heartlessly that its their mere duty to serve ys but we are unaware of how difficult it is for them to neglect everything and serve people. What i liked the most about this book is the inner thoughts and feelings of the characters have been expressed which is the other side of the story. The inner emotions are something which we rarely express and that exactly holds the way we perceive things. The book has abundant characters to keep the reader hooked till the last page. The concept is very engaging. It is a lengthy read but has a lot in store for the readers. With every flip of a page this book reveals more and more. The narration has a good flow. Its cover is really attractive.

Hoodwinking Hope
author- Aditya Shah

Hoodwinking Hope takes place against the background of Nainital and is centered on Dr. Manoj Sinha, a therapist. By taking a break from his complex past, he hopes to make a fresh start.

He gradually recovers and distances himself from his troubled marriage, but the progression didn't meet his expectations. An accurate psychological tale, albeit atmospheric, would allow you to discern details about the story's characters? How does the interaction between patients and physicians at a mental health clinic make a difference? Read this book to learn more.

At first, it wasn't easy to handle the intricate nature of the characters, and for this reason, I was unable to predict what would happen next. Could you sum it up in a single image - struggles and hesitations of the patient? Are doctors worried? What are the chances of predicting a character's future? What is their road to self-discovery?

I found it frightening and confusing at first as I tried to figure out where the readers would end up. I spent a lot of time and chapters getting to this point. This place is a hub of activity. The book is not just about the plot and the characters that appear, but the way it throws the reader right into the action and gives a glimpse of - 'we exist in moments and nothing more or less.'

Title - Hoodwinking Hope
Author - Aditya Shah
Genre - psychological thriller

'Hoodwinking Hope' by Aditya Shah is a psychological thriller with some motivation in it. The story sets up in Nainital and revolves around our protagonist Dr. Manoj Sinha, a therapist who is running away from his failed marriage and past. He goes to Nainital to set a new purpose in his life. There he meets few doctors, staff and patients at a mental health clinic who are struggling in their life and telling their own stories.

This book is 300 plus pages long and a short paced read. There are so many characters due to which the story takes time to build a connection. But later there are some unexpected suspense which kept me engaged till the end. This book deals with a mental health issue which is still considered a taboo in our society but the author has come to speak about it in a form of fictional story which is very much real and relatable.

The cover of the book is mesmerising and the title of the book is totally apt to the content as the book is a blend of hope and will power. Language used is simple and lucid. The writing style of the author is smooth. You can feel a sense of calm after reading this book. Highly recommended.

In nutshell, a motivational read.

Hoodwinking hope by Aditya shah
This book gave me feeling of calmness and i was so happy after finishing this book because i am someone who is really intrested in psychology and philosophy, mental health and human emotions and relationships.

so after finishing this book in 12 days i can proudly say that its a perfect read for me and i am going to re read it for sure.

this book focuses on different types of people present in mental health clinic and our main protagonist dr. manoj ( his character is well Potrayed and strong ) he is an upcoming therapist ... so he is telling us about his experiences.

So all these peoples are trying to cope up with their problems and fighting with their own demons and their problems are relatable as author focused on some hard hiting matters.

this book is gonna tell you deeply about human emotions and psychology as this book talks about so many things starting from common anxiety issues.

i must say the way author developed every character and the way he explained about their mental stage was impressive , every characters personality is unique and strong.

and the last part was something very different from what i was expecting but i just loved it.

this book gave me fresh perspective towards life and i am very thankful for this.

The story starts when our protagonist Dr. Manoj Sinha goes to a mental health hospital in Nanital to get some space from his struggling marriage life and to get connected to himself more. There he found someone but will he go back to his family? or will he found something bigger than himself?

I found the concept very unique. The author has very nicely narrated the Internal and external conflicts of the characters and how they are connected to each other. For some time into the story, you might need to keep some patience because we are not quite used to the introduction of new characters one after the other in books. But as it moves forward we come to know each character more closely. Each scene is beautifully connected to the other. You can't expect what will happen next but expect lots of twists and turns. I like when some author writes topic like mental health which is being talked usually yet many suffers because of it. And the cover is appealing, showing lots of emotions we can expect in the story.

I found it long but engaging. In short, the book is about love, hope, reality, struggles. The ending was totally unexpected. If you are looking for something unique and entertaining with a touch of reality then you should give this a try.

"Hoodwinking hope" by Aditya Saha is the story of a group of individuals at a mental health clinic seeking to define the purpose of their lives . The main protagonist of the book is dr. Manoj sinha who is struggling with his own life . There is a storm within him and his heart.

This book contains numerous collection of such type of experiences people held in their personal lives. This book shows how you can overcome addiction when you have the right direction and willing to seek professional help.

I like the element of thrill which is built so smoothly that it is very easy to lose oneself there in the words. There were so many characters but they were attended so well that also in first person. I appreciate the authors efgort for sheding light on mental health and how to ask for help.

The entire plot setting was incredible in beautiful town of nainital . Authors writing style is simply engrossing and remarkable with descriptive narrative . Overall the book is written wonderfully touching many aspects of life . Life is sometimes really unpredictable.

Cover of the book is captivating with those colourful splashes . I recommend this book to allthe readers.

Must read ❤❤

Someone once said–"The greatest battles are those that are fought within." But life isn't just about "the greatest battle", there's more to it, there are decision that we have to make everyday, there are n number of choices at every stop and turn which might lead to someplace entirely new. The shot zooms in on a quaint, delightful setting, Charitable Clinic of Minds, Nainital. Mental health is still treated as a taboo subject, but we can see the changing mind-set. It takes courage to own up and address the issue at hand, and more so when it comes to asking for help. This book talks of a group of people who despite their differences have come to the clinic with the hopes of finding the purpose of their lives.

The whole caboodle of characters is quite relatable and life-like, this could easily have been a non-fiction memoir. The fluid articulate and at times the somewhat descriptive narration lends a distinct charm to the characters. It seems as if it's your group of friends chatting with you, recounting the stories of their past. Hoodwinking Hope doesn't have a fast moving plot, instead the author pens his characters gradually. Without a doubt, this is a feel good book!

Dr. Manoj Sinha goes to Nainital for a change of scenery from his failing marriage and pressurized life. Being a novice, he isn't accepted by all, but he starts working in his own pace and makes friends along the way. The story continues with the experiences of Manoj and those around him.
.
The book cover is beautiful! The alliteration in the book name sounds nice and I kept repeating the book title many times. The story is narrated by quite a few people in this book. So, the internal conflicts and external actions are known through the first and third person narratives. Thus, there was no space to judge anyone's action. There was no emotional burst, instead this book brought a feeling of calmness. The people in the story knowingly or unknowingly grow to be better versions of themselves, and they knowingly or unknowingly have hope. I was looking for a distraction from routine and this book helped me big time. It was a soothing read. So, if you're looking for a fresh look, this book is for you. This book is quite big and it doesn't have many elements of surprise. So I think this book isn't fit for new readers unless you're up for a relaxing read.

Doctors are essential to us in this modern world. In the time of this pandemic, there are these doctors who are helping us a lot in rescuing out beloved ones.

Hoodwinking Hope is a story about a doctor named Dr. Manoj Sinha who works in a clinic. He is struggling with his own life. He wants to run away from his past and start a new life. But will he be able to do it? He starts his new life in a mental clinic hospital in Nainital. He meets new doctors and patients. But he suffers a rough start since he doesn't obey the laws much and finally ends up doing things good. He works at his own will. After a period of time, he is assigned with a patient who doesn't talk and keeps complete silence which makes harder for him to figure out the reason for his long silence. Will he be able to get out of these new challenges that he has inherited for himself by starting a new life? Or will he get back to his earlier life?

Read and find out for yourself. The cover of the book is colourful and is enough for one to dissolve in it for a long time. The language was simple and easy to understand. I appreciate the author's writing skills. Overall a nice read.

First of all just look at that beautiful colorful cover. I just was so attracted by it that I couldn't skip the book. And also the blurb, it sounded so interesting and intriguing that I wasn't able to skip it.

The blurb says it's the story of a group of individuals at mental health clinic seeking to define their purpose in life. And it's exactly that. Join the journey with Dr. Manoj Sinha our protagonist, who is struggling in life and wants to run away from his past.

At first it was confusing to be honest because there are so many characters and I found it difficult to connect. And also it was unexpected of me that the book was so huge. So I took so much time as well.

The story is fictional but it felt so real and relatable. What I found unique or liked in this book is that each chapter is narrated by the characters themselves telling their own stories. The story was not just about the patients but also the struggle of doctors. Overall book full of hope I must say. Recommend to everyone.

Line from the book- Success is a bastard as it has many fathers, but failure is an orphan with no takers.

Book#26 of #2021
Name: Hoodwinking Hope
Author: Aditya Shah
Genre: #Fiction
Rating: 5/5

I fell in love with this book when I read the first page. Even when I was in the middle of another book, I preferred this and finished the first 150 pages the first day itself.

It is the story of 6 people, each of whom has something that they are battling with. How they speak to each other about their issues and cope with them is how the story progresses. It ends with suspense about one of the folks, and it is mind-boggling. I stood up from my chair when the suspense was revealed. It was literally unexpected.

Stories like these are essential for our generation(especially during COVID) when we have fewer people to speak to, and bottling up the feelings doesn't help. Let's treat mental illness as we treat a physical ailment. On second thoughts, I guess you need not be a mental patient to speak. You just need to make communication a priority to ensure sanity.

I highly recommend this book to everyone, and I am looking forward to seeing more such books by the author. Thank You again for this one.

I randomly came across this book while looking for some novels and the vibrant colours of the cover and its unique title grabbed my attention and developed a curiosity inside me so I read the book and I am really happy to say that it's really worth reading.
The story basically revolves around a group of people composed of doctors (therapist to be precise d), and various staffs working in a mental health clinic.
The protagonist of the book named Dr Manoj Sinha, is a therapist and he leaves his family behind in Delhi and shifts in Nainital to get some space and job. There he encounters his old love, his new found love, tough boss and traumised patients. The various difficulties and problems in the characters life has been shown in the book. Doctor Manoj works with full honesty and sincerity and on the other hand he faces his own problems and tries to maintains a good balance between his personal and professional life.
The language of the book is lucid and is easy for the readers to understand. Due to easy language the interpretation of the words conveyed by the author to the readers increases and connects the readers more efficiently to the book.
This is a beautiful book with a beautiful way of writing.

Thank you!
