FILTHY RICH ALPHAS is a series of standalone interracial romance novellas featuring sexy men falling in love with kick ass black heroines. All books explore different tropes, have steamy illustrations, and will have you laughing as you read. ________ MEET WOLF. _______ Wolf is a legend, a rebel in the street art world. Museums have paid millions just for him to recreate the hard-hitting political images he’s portrayed on buildings all over the world. Yet, only a few know his true identity.
Red is a rising star. Her murals throughout Miami’s poverty-stricken streets have triggered a craze in not only the art world, but in Wolf.
He’s on Red’s trail, sniffing out her scent in the graffiti jungles of Wynwood and luring her to one of his legendary 420 parties—where true stoners join together on April 20th to partake of the greatest herb.
Red has no time for men. Yet, Wolf is not the type to give up.
Can Red stay on the path and avoid being ate by the big, bad wolf?
Or, will they both collide, on a sensual journey, where weed smoke slips against bare skin and dreams equate to a box full of spray paint, an empty wall, a voice for the people, and two rebels’ hearts beating to the cadence of Miami’s rough streets?
***This story is a re-release of the novella 420***
Kenya Wright wrote her first novel during her third year at UM Law school. She dropped out a month after the release and never looked back.
Words are power, and Kenya wants to be the greatest wizard that ever lived.
It's an audacity to inspire and teach the healing of love through arousal.
It's this crazy idea that love can not only help a reader escape, but the story can also teach the person about being human, while making them laugh, cry, and hot for more sex.
This story was very "meh" to me. Not really up to my standard of what I expect of a Kenya Wright book or novella. Character of Wolf was so odd and I did not find him appealing at all so I didn't get into this story about these artists who fall into a lusty relationship. It's a short and quick story but I have to say, not a particularly interesting one.
A great take-off from the children's book Little Red Riding Hood. In this storyline Red is a creative artist who has painted thought provoking graffiti all over the walls of Miami. Wolf is also a graffiti artist, but he is infamous and unknown for his work that he has painted all over the world. His work is politically controversial and highlights the conflicts that victimizes the innocent. He has achieved billionaire status and gets whatever he wants, and he wants Red.
I love the way he lures her into the wolf's den. He has been watching her for a long time and does exactly what is necessary to lure her in. The problem is, she is not an innocent little red riding hood. If the wolf tried to eat this version of Red, she would slice his throat! So, once Wolf gets her into his lair, he still has lots of challenges. I love their respect for each other's talent. I especially love Wolfs reverence and appreciation of Red's talent. I also love how far he was willing to go to have her. He's not playing. He's obsessed and wants her for keeps.
Great book. Even though it's a very short read that ended when it should have, I still wanted more.
This is a weird story. I couldn't get with it. I guess I lost interest when Red said she would follow the smoke anywhere. I got sick of his obsession. I didn't care about your illustrations.
Well even tho the book was short, I still skipped over a lot of pages. Kenya Wright is a very talented author but some of her books are hit and miss. She missed with this book. A book about two potheads who like to paint. That was it. Just two pothead artist going back and forth with no depth and not a decent plot to boot. Looks like she threw a book together to make some fast cash. Oh well🤷🏾♀️
This is by far my least favorite book by this author, who I usually love. It was a retelling (really a reimagining) of Red Riding Hood, but some of the similarities felt like a stretch. The characters tried to make political statements through their art, but for me, they went too far with it. The message had the right sentiment, but wasn't done in the right way. Or maybe it was right, but I'm not the target audience, I wanted/expected more of a Banksy feel. Add to that, it was a short story and had really bad editing. But, as always with this author, the illustrations in the ebook were amazing. I love that this author does that.
Red wasn’t aware that he, the Wolf, stalked he, admiring her work and making sure she was safe on the streets. He loved her statements and she held a hidden admiration for his work, after all he was a legend…a pioneer of graffiti! He desired to paint with her and mentor her, so he held his annual 420 party and invited her and her two friends to come along deciding it was time they met. Neither had any idea they would have a HEA, but when it’s fated you have no choice!🦋
I love this Red Riding Hood adjacent storyline. The romantic take on artist lovers, each using the other as their secret muse and getting lost in one another, holds all of the requirements of book romances.
The ending was a bit of a letdown for me, but I still enjoyed the storyline. All in all, a decent read, Wolf's obsession was a bit too over exaggerated for my liking, but it ultimately got the job done.
I loved this story, Ms. Kenya Wright, but I wish it could have been just a wee bit longer! Wolf and Red were such interesting characters, I wish their relationship had been explored more in depth, and maybe gotten to the point where we got to a pup or two (see, not even a whole litter!) Love your books, Ms. Kenya Wright! Keep 'em coming!
Wow just Wow! This book was awesome I read the whole book in one sitting I couldn't put it down. MS Wright took you on a journey that you could not let go of. The chemistry between Wolf and Red was smoking 🔥! It was a short story but it was a very entertaining book. I say get it and enjoy the trip. Ms Wright you did a awesome job!
Wolf is a famous graffiti artist known all over the world. He stumbles upon an artist he becomes obsessed with, Red. He finds himself following her and watching while she paints. He decides he has to have her. Red gets an invitation to a party. Wolf has to work really hard to get Red where he wants her. I enjoyed the hunt.
Who would’ve thought that art could bring bring 2 creative people together over some ganja. I really loved the illustrations cuz really showed what this artist can do!!! This is the first book to ever read with illustrations, thank you. It definitely gave it some meaning.True perfection…keep this going
I really enjoyed reading Wolf and Red's story, this wasfunny and romantic. Loved Wolf, and Coco what a woman.I would absolutely recommend reading this book I think you will enjoy it. Great job Ms. Wright love the drawings please keep these stories coming. Thank you.🙏👍
I liked Wolf and Red's story. They were such complex characters with their own issues and so it made it hard for them to come together. However the fact that Red is an up and coming Graffiti artist just like Wolf makes their connection even deeper. Loved it, will not give anything away. The illustrations within are beautiful and add to the story.
Short hot story...loving the illustrations. Kenya always brings us somehting different for all her readers. Wolf is hot! Looking forward to more in these sexy novellas.
This was an intense book. Keny wrote this so well it took the entire book for me to decide if I liked Wolf or not. This could definitely have been a full length novel but I think that would have taken away from the intensity of it.
Good Read. I liked the play on Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf. Red and Wolf connected on a whole different level. Not only because of their love for 420 but graffiti and the messages they portray. I believe they will do great things together.💛💛
This was by far my favorite book of this series. Red and Wolf's dynamic was beautiful even if this was a short story. I would love for them to have their own book or series. I would DEFINITELY purchase it.
I believe I’m going to have to put the series on pause! I’m beginning to feel like I’m just reading short stories that have a few more sentences and paragraphs to separate them from porn/erotica.
I’m not even 420, but I enjoyed this book. I love the reinvention of Red Riding Hood. So much mental stimulation and sensuality with Red and Wolf. Thanks again Kenya!
This short novella was written with a poetic flow in most sections. I feel like I’ve read something by Ms. Wright written like this before, but I can’t remember the title. (I have read several of her novels.)
This is the third book from the series of the filthy rich alphas. It is a catchy series and would like to explore more of the characters l. I wish it went further. Nonetheless, it's a good short read
Red becomes Lobo's obsession when he sees her art all over the city. Being a very successful artist himself, he recognizes her talent and uses a house party, to lure her to the Wolf's lair....
I chose this rating because both Wolf and Red are fascinating. I loved how she had over protective friends and how each character looked out for each other.
I tbought this book is a good quick read and I enjoy the illustrations too. Strong female character for her age, but she was still caught up in that smoke. Lol.
