The most affordable textbook I've ever had to read and a good foundational book about the world of finances and accounting. I learned a surprising amount from this book. I appreciated the glossary of terms at the end of each chapter and the use of one consistent hypothetical throughout to help weave the concepts together.

Good summary of basic principles, more useful that might seem at first. The book is primarily centered around GAAP (the American standard for accounting not the international) it also focuses more on small business. You need more than this book to professionally apply the concepts.
