What a great book. It really opened up my heart. Love the testimonies and scriptures as well as the teachings. This is a book that will definitely stir your heart for God and to manifest the Kingdom of heaven on earth. Helpful answered questions I've had for some time and confirmed some things I've known . Read ready to be challenged and transformed . The message in this book is more relevant than ever. We need to return to a gospel made not only of words but also of power, signs and miracles. The ministry and experience of Randy Clark and his team are of great example and inspiration to live in the fullness of the gospel through the power of the Holy Spirit. Highly recommend.

It was a well written book. The only negative would be for some non-believers, if they assume God is always going to do miracles on this side of heaven. It could lead them to feel unanswered prayers means God isn't listening or doesn't care, which is dangerous. It's important to know God works in a number of ways and always for the good of those who trust in him.

I won this book through GoodReads First Read program.

I really enjoyed the first half of the book which discussed Words of Knowledge and Healing as actions that are still taking place in today's world. The use of testimonies of this in action was very helpful. This segues into the second have of the book which I didn't care for which was really a generalization that Protestant churches today do not believe or recognize the use of Words of Knowledge and Healing today. Clark states that this is really limited what the Church can do in evangelizing.

I am an evangelical protestant and my church does acknowledge the use of Words of Knowledge and Healing in today's world. Perhaps they don't emphasize it as Clark would want, but it is certainly in play. I do think it can have a huge impact on non-believers.

One aspect I have always struggled with is knowing what a word of knowledge from God. I have trouble knowing what God wants me to do. I envy those who are so sure about what God wants from them.

This is a unique Christian book in that it brings up Christian practices that are either ignored by some churches today or downplayed by others.

When you cannot accept the Supernatural, you will do crazy things to try to explain it away.

This book was not at all what I was expecting. Revelation says, “for the testimony of Christ is the spirit of prophecy”. By this one verse, Randy Clark solely teaches. Jamming the book chuck full of testimonies of Divine healings, miracles, and other supernatural stories. I have heard pastors teach by this method before, and is meant to increase the level of faith. After all, God is no respecter of persons. If it could happen to them, why not us? I thought this was a little overboard however, and just seemed more of a distraction from any real teaching about intimacy with Christ.

Let’s face it, intimacy with another person is hard enough. It requires levels of trust building, getting to know that person, letting them see the bad things about each other that you would rather not show anyone in this world where we are constantly looking for the next great Instagram story, Facebook post, or YouTube video. So how much harder is it to become intimate with an Invisible God? A God that we so commonly place in a box or see as how our earthly fathers behaved.

Most of the stories in this book do not belong to Randy, but to others affiliated with him and his ministry. However, a few of them were impactful. A young girl who needs to be free from her sexually abusive father, a missionary who stops at nothing to make it to communist China, and a pastoring couple who refuse to leave violent Mozambique only to live on it’s peoples.

With all this being said, I’m simply tired of listening to all the testimony preaching without any real teaching from the Word of God. And this book, was just not for me.

This book is a type of response to cessationist theology and provides a concise introduction into the practical aspects of a healing ministry. The author has a strong and potentially alienating view on the role of the Holy Spirit in a Christian’s life (i.e. “baptism of the Spirit is not simply an optional add-on to salvation but the very goal of the Bible,” he writes), and it sometimes seems like an advertisement for his own Global Awakening Theological Seminary. But when read not as an academic text but as a book based on one dedicated Christian's life experiences, it is both useful and at times inspirational.

This book inspires one that there is so much more to experience in the Christian walk. Most inspiring for me was Randy sharing testimony after testimony of students from his classes that experienced words of knowledge and healings for others. Reading testimony’s of God doing things through “everyday” people, was encouraging.

From a written standpoint, there were times the book felt disjointed and all over the place. Though writing truth, sometimes it felt like the author had a multi book contract to fill, and sometimes had to use filler. 3.5 stars

this was a great book, but i had more expectations that there would be practicals on how to create a deep friendship with God. i would say 80% of the book is testimonies of healings which is great, but not what i expected. if you are desiring to walk out in healing then this book is for you, but not if you want to learn how to create deep friendship with God.

Wow! This is a call Upward!

It is obvious throughout the word of God, intimacy is to be the life of the believer. Just as Jesus could do nothing without the Father, see and hearing what from the Father, neither can we. This beautiful book, will reinforce this truth or plant it in you and the Spirit of God will bring the growth as we yield in faith.

Awakening to the Miraculous

This book grew my spiritual desire to wanting a more intimate relationship with the Father. In wanting to do more in the Kingdom , you must first know the King.

I am not sure I can agree with everything that the author presents even though he uses Biblical scripture to confirm his ideas. He believes that if we have an intimate relationship with God and are obedient to Him miracles will happen. Most of the miracles he cited were of healing.

If you want the key to intimacy look no further than obedience. Dr. Clark had me convinced of the need for obedience by the end of the first chapter!
