True love. Soul mates. Forevers.
I believed in it all.
Until the day my entire world imploded, shredding every bit of hope I had for a future.
I suffered in silence to protect the people I loved.
Consumed by pain and guilt, I staggered through life one dark day at a time.
Masked my broken heart with a smile.
I buried myself in responsibility to avoid the constant reminder that not everyone gets a happily ever after.
Then I saw her on the crowded dance floor of a popular London nightclub.
It wasn’t the first time we’d crossed paths.
Or the second.
Or the third.
Maybe it was the universe’s way of showing me that not all hope was lost.
I didn’t know her name, but I’d never forget those eyes.
Bright. Alluring. Haunted.
But I had ghosts, too.
Someone once told me that people come into our lives when we need them the most.
I knew it the first time I saw her. I needed her.
And as fate would have it, she needed me too.

*Please note that this is not an instalove story, but fated love. It's packed with emotion, heat, and a little touch of humor. Legacy was written as a standalone, but as in all the books in the Heritage Bay series, it is rich in characters (family).

I want to know how I can get invited to Heritage Bay or Magnolia Bay. Seriously, even the dads sound hot when you listen to Katie and the rest of the Fab Four chat, but I digress.

Ever since Dylan walked on the pages I wanted his book, okay, maybe more than just his book, but still. As a reader you knew he had a backstory, you knew he came from this incredible family, and you knew it would take a certain type of woman for him to finally fall. I’m also glad his road was bumpy, he shows some grit that I really wanted.

Now Katie, she makes you want to cry at times. The scenes at the cemetery just yank at the heartstrings, nobody should have to go through what she has, but she is one strong woman. She has the sense of self worth to stand up for herself at work and at home, and she realizes that sometimes you just need time.

The fact that these two have to wait for their time together, it adds something to the story, and it lends it a different edge.

You wanna know how good this book was?

*deep breath*

It was ‘fangirl-inducing-must-message-the-author-this-instant-and-gush-how-amazing-she-is’ good.

*blushes*

*shakes head*

Another episode for ‘Laura’s most embarrassing moments’ diary. *palms face*

(Quick side note: although this is Book 6 in the Heritage Bay series it can easily be read as a standalone.)

“Tomorrows are a gift, not a promise.”

All joking aside, this book currently owns my soul and doesn’t want to let go. I couldn’t put it down but at the same time I didn’t want it to end… *sighs*

Dylan and Katie’s story is slow burn romance at its finest.

And, oh. My. Days! Can we talk about the rip-your-heart-out emotional rollercoaster I was on before the author saw fit to put me back together again?

I was sobbing a third of the way in. Muttering to myself about ‘Sliding Doors’, ‘six degrees of separation’, and ‘what ifs?’ (Or so I’m reliably informed by The Mommy).

I can also admit to having a rather terse conversation with one of my besties when she saw fit to call me when I had reached a PIVOTAL (caps are fully warranted) scene in the story. You know what I’m talking about *winky-winks*. I answered with a bark of ‘WHAT?!’ into the phone. I’m not proud, peeps. Who knew that 📖🍆✋🏻 was a thing? #IYKYK *snorts*

Legacy is one story I’ll happily put myself through the emotional wringer for time and time again.

Sometimes you have to fight for your HEA, but it just makes the reward all the sweeter.

Gah!! This story has ALL the FEELS!! All the sweet, all the emotion, and all the humor, heart and heat!

“Who knows what tomorrow brings? Tomorrows are a gift, not a promise.”

Dylan and Katie are two lost souls who meet just when they need each other the most.
I loved how the story just continued to surprise me with small plot twists sprinkled throughout.

“No matter how far we fall, we always land on our feet. We’re destined for success. It’s our legacy.’”

Legacy is part of the Heritage Bay series. It is mostly a standalone story but if you, like me, haven’t read all of the previous books in this series you might just need a character cheat sheet to keep up on who’s who :) But I can’t wait to go back and read more about all of these amazing characters.

All the dang stars!!!!! I was so hyped waiting for this book. I needed to know more about Dylan and his story. I needed to know Kate. I needed answers. I got them. I got way more than that. This story exceeded my very high expectations. This writer put her heart and soul into this story and you can tell, from not only reading the story, but feeling it deeply. Genuinely and raw. Get the tissues ready! There is so much emotion in this story of two broken-hearted people who finally find there way to each other. But it's so much more than that. The interwining and connections that flow effortlessly throughout the book with other characters is the fruit of some amazing writing skills. The entire series is a gem but this one surpasses them all thus far for me. I can't rave enough, but don't listen to me, go read this phenomenal story!
M.A. Foster, BRAVO 🌹 I'm extremely proud to be a fan!

Legacy: A Heritage Bay Novel by M. A. Foster is so packed with all the feels you feel them in your bones!

I love the way Ms Foster takes her readers on a journey.

She immerses you in her characters world, and makes you feel as though you are a part of the action.

And have mercy, Dylan and Katie are two wrecked souls who deserve happiness.

I love that there was attraction and magnetism at first sight. Even though it would be years before they actually find each other and what they both truly need and deserve.

And that’s happiness and unconditional love.

Get ready for an epic journey you won’t want to put down.

What a really great, moving, heartfelt read! This book was perfectly written with just the right amount of angst and sweetness. I fell in love with Kate and Dylan, and they will forever be one of my favorites from this author.

Katie’s story will always hold a special place in my heart. The strength she had to move on with her life after everything she went through. I knew from MA Foster’s previous books that Katie’s story would be amazing but to finally read it was just wow. It was a very emotional read.

And Dylan’s story…if you have read Heritage Bay series, take everything you thought about Dylan and toss it aside because Dylan is so much more than you think. I fell in love with this beautiful character and his story. Yes, we sort of “knew” his story from the previous books but we really didn’t.

I highly recommend this book and all the books in the Heritage Bay world. This can be read as a standalone but then you would be missing out on some great characters.

Legacy is by far one of my favorite books in this series. I love Katie and Dylan! M.A. Foster absolutely knows how to write phenomenal books that keep me engrossed from start to finish. I went through all the emotions reading this story. I love how there was so much explained about all the character's back stories. It put so much into perspective, in the best way possible! I have read every book in this series, and I highly recommend all of them! If this is the first book you are reading in this series, this is definitely a great one to start with, because as I stated, you learn so much about everyone's past, and it makes it apparent why some people act the way they do, and how they have all grown and matured because, and despite of some of the events that they have gone through in the past. This book is an absolute must read, and if I could give it more than five stars, I would!

Oh. My. The feels y'all! You will experience every single one of them. Every. Single. One. Katie and Dylan’s story is beyond what I expected, the twist and turns had me sucked in from the very first words. M.A. Foster delivers a dynamic story testing the characters in ways we could never have imagined. Their lives are all intertwined together in a beautiful, unexpected way. I. Loved. Every. Minute. Of. This. Book. It will make you laugh, cry, think, hold your breath, cringe in parts, scream, laugh again and cry lots of tears. It’s so well written and will definitely tug at your heartstrings. You NEED this book in your life like you need air to breathe. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

This was the 6th book set in Heritage Bay written by MA Foster, I loved this book it’s the story Of Dylan Mackenzie who of course is Cole’s older brother and also known as Dilly because that’s what Willow calls him, and Kate who is Vanessa’s Best friend. MA Foster did such a beautiful job writing this story it does have some parts of the story where I did cry a little bit , but also some parts that had a little humor in them, regardless it is still a very well written story about 2 people who have had a lot of sadness in their life and come together. I also love how MA Foster also puts her previous characters into this book which I also enjoyed. Bravo MA Foster 5 ⭐️

Hubba Hubba this book sucked me in with the hot cover. OMG it wrecked me too. I couldn’t help but fall even more in love with the Heritage Bay crew.

Dylan and Katie’s story is an emotional beautiful tale. It takes you on a journey of two broken hearts and how they fine their destiny. Sigh. It can be read as a standalone (blah blah blah) but I DON’T recommend it. WINK! You need the skinny on all the characters and how the Heritage Bay stories are magically woven together. EEK… SOOO GOOD!

I digress. Holy cow I NEEDED this book. I have always been very vocal about the fact that Cole, Dylan’s brother destroyed me in the best possible way in his book MacKenzie. OMG he has competition as a beloved character, not only because I got more information from a different point of view in this book but Dylan’s heart makes me swoon.

Truthfully, I am not going to say much about Katie other than I am so impressed with what a survivor she is. She astonishes me with what a good friend she is and how she values all the people in her life. I don’t want to say more otherwise it starts getting into spoiler territory. Ugh which is just mean. Whispers… you won’t be able to help falling in love with her yourself.

With this book you can plan for sexy, touching, and lovely moments that will continue to haunt you long after you have turned the last page. Happy Reading Everyone!!! XOXO

In good M.A. Foster fashion, Legacy is an amazing book. Get ready to get all the feels. This story is super emotional, Dylan and Katie have been thru a lot, but with the help of amazing family and friends they heal, they find each other and get the happy ending they deserve.

We get all our favorite characters here, I missed them a lot. Dylan is your typical Mackenzie guy: gorgeous, funny, sweet and sexy as hell. Katie is a great girl, sweet and loyal. They are a beautiful couple who deserves all the good they get.

This was such an amazing story. You never know where life can take you, who will walk the same path, and you don’t even realize it. This is a story of heartbreak and redemption. Of trauma and healing. Love can lead you to where you belong. This book will forever hold an incredibly special place in my heart. I will always recommend anything MA writes, this is definitely one of my favorites.

This book will have your emotions all over the place. I was laughing, crying, and totally caught up in the emotions of the characters.

Katie has a past and is looking to move forward with her career, until she spots a mystery man who haunts her memory form different parts of her past where he pops up. Can Katie open up herself to him? Can she trust herself enough to open up…

Dylan has a past, can he move forward? Is there room for a new love in his life? Even for the mystery girl from his past?

Find out how these two find a way to heal themselves as well as be there for each other.

I’ve loved everything from this author but this is definitely my new favorite! Everything about it. The humor, the family, the emotions…all of it! I loved seeing all these characters again.

Katie and Dylan have both been through a lot in their pasts. Pasts that were hard to move on from but when they found each other (again) they help each other move forward. It’s not an easy road but it’s so worth it.

Feelings! This book left me in a book hangover( still, a week later), not able to start a new book and wishing it had never ended.
Each book by MA Foster becomes my favorite, but Legacy is outstanding! All of the snort-worthy moments, I've come to expect from this awesome author, interesting world building and STEAM! But wait...there's more: unexpected twists and even more emotional pull than usual (more than my standing favorite Cougar). If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Definitely recommending and definitely rereading, often!!!

Legacy is Heritage Bay series book 6. It can be read a stand alone, MA Foster did a amazing job, gave a detailed backstory so you won't feel lost or confused.
This story is wow I had all the feels Dylan defenitly swoon worthy. I cried, I laughed I swooned and few times thought my kindle was going to catch fire.
Dylan and Katie story was a journey of two people that had deep hurts a tramatic events in there past. They help each other heal and through out the story you are now they are connected with out really knowing each other.
They connect in a way that goes beyond attraction or physical or even love, when they start to let go of the past, They have a HEA.
I really like when I get to read Heritage Bay I feel like I'm visiting family or Friends that go way above the call of friendship.
Dylan and Katie bring the heat in this book. All I can say is wow. is always the quiet ones.

As with all the Heritage Bay books, Legacy is a slow burn that takes you on a journey of two broken people who were always meant to be together. This is a story about first love, loss, and unimaginable heartbreak. It's about two souls that are connected from the moment they lock eyes, and only until they find each other, will they be able to heal.

*Please note that this is not an instalove story, but fated love. It's packed with emotion, heat, and a little touch of humor. Legacy was written as a standalone, but as in all the books in the Heritage Bay series, it is rich in characters (family).

These characters come to life for me. I want to be in this family. I want to live in this town called Heritage Bay. This book is divided into different time frames. Dylan spots Katie 3 times before he catches up with her. It was at a New Year’s party in London.

Holy cow… New Year’s is so steamy my glasses fogged up. Dylan is the best dirty talker…🥵🥵🥵🥵 Dilly is a bad boy. Lol

OMG then Girls night and camel toe had me dying again. I just want to be a part of this group of friends and family.

I’m gonna fan girl. Sometimes I start a series and I fall in love with every bit of it. When I started this one and realized Marcus wasn’t going to live I straight up ugly cried for an hour. Every time I picked it up I cried. As I read on though and realized he wouldn’t be with them but he was always going to be a the center that pulled this family together. Now I wasnt jumping for joy that he died, but I got it. Everyone had a Marcus story. I am a series addict. I will stay with a series to the end. Yes I know I am still fangirling. I will never want the series to end. I mean I want to know what happens when Willow is old enough to date. Lol

This is one of those series. It so good! Dylan is 🌞🌚⭐️🔥🔥🔥 I can’t wait to see what everyone else thinks. This book tackles some hard issues, and yes we want our HEAs. But you have to have the drama & the angst or it’s just dull. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

“Tomorrows are a gift not a promise”.
When Dylan loses someone close to him his heart is eviscerated but he keeps his pain to himself. He locks it inside and only allows himself to feel the pain in secret. He suffers in silence. Katies loss is unimaginable, a loss so difficult she will never put the pieces back together. What happens when two souls are so wrapped around each other the other person is your reprieve. Dylan and Katie have crossed paths several times and never knew or understood who they would someday be to each other. I loved Dylan and Katie's story. It wrecked me emotionally, I cried so many times reading Legacy but It was so worth it. I wanted to wrap them both in a bubble and keep anything bad from happening to them again. They not only heal each other but you as the reader as you go on their journey with them. Legacy is filled with love, loss and second chances, it's a slow burn with a very well deserved happily ever after. Highly highly recommend this book but make sure you have your tissues ready.
If you have read any of the Heritage Bay series you know how Dylan deserves his happy ending.
If you haven't read anything wrong with you, go read them now!!

MA Foster writes stories that are a web of connections. In the Heritage Bay series, she has created a complicated, real world for her characters to inhabit. They live and breathe more than any author I have read recently. In Legacy, we get Dylan and Katie. But it’s not as simple as “it’s their story.” Each of their stories is full – Katie is not just a love interest. She has her own story as well. I also like how Ms. Foster knows how to seamlessly move from emotion to scorching romance to accurate observations on life. She’s a consummate juggler. I’m not going to recount the plot because I firmly believe a reader needs to experience them on their own time and in their own way. If I tell you what happens to them, or how it happens that will ruin it. If you’re familiar with her style, you’ll know what to expect (the unexpected). And while it can be read as a standalone, you’d be doing yourself a huge favor to take the time to read the previous books. You’ll definitely get much more out of the story and have a deeper appreciation for the talents of this author. For more thoughts, please visit Fireflies and Free Kicks. This review was written based on a digital ARC and all thoughts are my own.

So this book I went in completely blind and I'm so glad that I did! I was able to go in and experience everything raw and that brought out so many emotions for me. It even showed on my face as well. Dylan and Katie go thru a lot in this book. They both have tragic and heartbreaking loses that need to heal from. Fate has a way of bringing them together and giving them peeks of each other throughout the years. This book touched me hard-core to the point that I don't want to let them go... I know they will be back..but it's hard to stop the emotions I'm feelings. Yes it shook me that hard. This book brings a realness and leaves you a major hangover. If you truly get into their heartbreak and their story in its self, you will have issues reading anything else after you finish this book. It takes you on a whole other level of emotions and feels during this book! I haven't been this affected by a book in a long time! Yes It was THAT GOOD!!!! Dylan, Katie and the rest of the gang bring a beautiful heartbreaking story and get the love and happiness they truly deserve. I wish that I could give it more then 5 Stars because it truly deserves it!! ❤❤❤

If you are looking for an emotional read with all the feels look no further than Legacy.
Legacy is book 6 in the Heritage Bay Series but it can certainly be read and loved as a stand-alone. I know this because I haven’t read every book in this series that being said I am playing catch up and working my way through the rest if the series because one visit to Heritage Bay is never enough.
This is Dylan and Katie’s slow burn romance that takes us on a journey of first loves, loss and heartbreak. This couple are soul mates and from the moment they meet you know their destiny is together, they need each other to heal their broken hearts but what takes this book to another level is the perfect hint of humour that adds to the depth of this beautifully written love story. This is one of those very special reads that don’t come along every day, I’m sure like me you will not want to put this book down, I’m sure you will want and need to really get to know Dylan and Katie and I know their journey will stay with you long after the final words have been read. This is a beautifully written, emotional, heartfelt stiry that I highly recommend to all romance lovers.

I love ALL the characters from Heritage Bay! The men make me swoon and I couldn’t pick my favourite if I tried! Every new book that releases, I. Want. That. Alpha!
Dylan is no different. I want him. He is just delicious and dirty talking, protective, sweet, sexy and a god in the sack. Gimmeeee.

Katy is broken, as is Dylan. They have some freaky kind of pull to each other and their story is epic and do entwined it’s fabulous. The other characters feel like main characters too as I know them so well. The plot is addictive and so exciting that the urge to disappear into silence, so that I could ugly cry alone, was strong. The emotions are so think I could drown in them.

I just can’t recommend any of MA Foster’s books. You’ll never regret getting immersed in the lives of this group of people.
