She holds a secret. A secret they are willing to kill for. In the middle of Hurricane Delta, Callie Curtis just wants to keep her sister safe. As he assists Callie in searching hospitals and evacuation centers for her momma, members of “A Southern Railway” show up. Can they save Callie and her sister from a life on the streets of Leesville, or must she work the dark streets of the city as the landlord has suggested? Danger In A Hurricane is the fifth installment in the “Southern Railway” romantic suspense series. If you love puzzling mysteries, surprises at every twist and turn, then you will love this latest installment from author, Brenda D. Williams.
This book is an easy, short read that would be great to add to your summer reading books! :) I found myself wanting to read the next chapter to find out what would happened to Callie and her little sister. I also wanted to know if their mom was ok or not!
4 stars because I wish the characters were more developed. I wanted to know more about each character individually and also felt that the locations could have been more developed to help me better visualize what was happening.
I also think this series would be great for high schoolers! There is some suspenseful moments, a little bit of a romance, and it’s a clean “safe” book for young eyes!
