Flora´s day couldn´t go any worse. Instead of being promoted, she loses her job and the man, she is supposed to marry in two weeks, is keeping secrets from her. In the biting cold, she goes looking for help and what she finds is not only a warm place but a home for her freezing heart. This is not a happy, romantic book in the classical sense but a story about mistakes and compromises, about wrong decisions, and different ideas of morality. Right or wrong is hard to evaluate. It depends on the point of view.
