He’s the created warlock, but can he also be mate to a powerful tiger?

Edison isn’t your typical warlock. No, he is the warlock. Created by the goddess, he spent centuries doing what she asked, helping humans and paranormals alike. It isn’t until his third century that he would be given his greatest mission—that of mate and helping others to realize their full potential.

Wallace spent years barely surviving in his tiger form after his family was brutally murdered. He long ago gave up on his family finding him, realizing they were no longer on the earth with him. Starving, and too weak to venture far enough to hunt, he is about to give in to the cold darkness that calls to him when he is suddenly met with an intoxicating scent. But his mate couldn’t possibly be with him, could he?

Edison knows nothing about mates, or forever ones, except for what he has been told by the goddess and the Fate Thomas. Wallace knows more, but not much. Together they must navigate what it means to be a fated pair. Throw in a pregnancy that they knew was coming but didn’t know what to expect—easy, right?

Edison is the sixth and final book in the Warlocks of Amherst series. In it you will find a fated mate pair, a created warlock, a goddess that pops in unexpectedly, a protective alpha tiger shifter, and a found coven family. Many liberties were taken when writing this book, but it’s Edison—just go with it. This book takes place before the rest of the Warlocks of Amherst series and can be read in any order.

Warlock and Tiger Love!

I was so excited to finally get the story of Wallace and Edison. They have always been a favorite of mine because of how much they love each other, all of their families (born and chosen) and the humor between the two of them which is at times at the expense of their children, grandchildren, etc. They are a perfect compliment to each other even with Edison being the strongest Warlock ever. I must say I would have been just as disturbed as them with the Goddess popping in or reading my thoughts about everything! It was also good to read about the original eight that were granted Warlock powers by the Goddess. It would be fun to read about Frederick and Oliver as those two were extremely difficult to get together! If you have read ALL of the series as I have or even if you haven't, you will enjoy the love story of these two. It also gives answers to how Edison came to be and learn to be such a powerful entity himself.

The sixth book of the Amherst Warlocks series, is the series ender. It is also where the series starts. Chronologically Edison is the first warlock, created by the goddess. All the others are humans turned by the goddess. He takes on the role of Coven Master for the first eight warlocks.
His mate is a tiger shifter, Wallace, who has been alone for thirty plus years after the murder of his family. Although having lived rough in a cave, Wallace is a sweet, gentle man. He takes the caring and protection of his mate very seriously.
From their start in an inn outside London to their final home in Montana. the pair are strong and loving. Their story is sweet. And probably the best book of the series.
I look forward to the series spinoff that Rylan has planned.

Swooney... is that a word? Seriously, this is the one we didn't even know we were waiting for. TR had said she didn't expect to write it, but getting to experience Edison and Wallace's story from the beginning brings nuance and meaning to all the other shifters and warlocks (and upcoming vampires) in this universe. It's possible that you could start with this one, and then move back to the beginning... First, the Honey Creek Den series, then on to the Timber Valley Wolf Pack series, and rounding out with the Warlocks of Amhurst... but this book is like the perfect after-dinner mint with a tiny cup of espresso... If you're into paranormal MM fiction, these interwoven stories will become your favorites. Taylor has done a superb job of creating a world that still has stories to tell, and I, among many, cannot wait!

Very Simple

Interesting in its simplicity, this storyline covers centuries with little to show for the effort. Minimal character development, and while there are a couple moments of conflict, the majority of the story is just basic narrative with several instances of MM sex.

In Fennwick, they said Edison and Wallace had a hard time with getting together. In this book, we learned that Edison was likely lying to make Fennwick feel better. It went as ridiculously smooth as the others. No conflict. At least no forced pregnancies either. That's something

in the beginning

Now I haven’t read any other books, and that in no way made it it hard to read this book. This book is about the beginning. When the goddess that many shifters, paranormal folk pray to created the first. We get to watch the first travel through time doing what he needs to for the goddess. Eventually finding his mate, others, being the first alpha and omega couple, having kids, then living life. This was a different book than most and I enjoyed every min. It kind of reminded me of blue lagoon the movie just in paranormal world. Them trying to figure out life with little guidance. The writing was good which I’m surprised previous books have not been great in the writing department. The smexy is hawt, and the side characters are in abundance. I want to read William’s story. Does he have a story? And I want to read Thomas’s story. I’ll have to see if they have there own story. Hopefully this author keeps up this writing momentum and doesn’t revert back to past styles.

I am not going to do this book justice with my review. We have all read and listened and saw Edison and Wallace in all the other books. We wondered what their past was and how they meet. When the author said she was going to write their story I have to admit I was a little worried. I mean come on we have been reading about these two for years we have all dreamed up their past in our minds. We had a story for them already. So I admit I was nervous about what was their real story going to be like would it live it up to all the hype in my head. Oh man did the author knock it out of the park she blew my sad little story in my head apart. Wallace broke my heart to pieces. Oh what he went thru. I cried buckets for my favorite Tiger. Thank goodness for Edison and his wonderful heart and caring nature. This book is a must-read. I devoured it in one sitting. I am sad that this series is over, but also so super excited for the new series.

I was so excited to read this book and I loved every single page of it. If you’ve read Taylor Rylan’s Honey Creek Den Series, Timber Valley Wolf Pack Series and Warlocks of Amherst Series then you know who Edison and Wallace are and I feel confident saying you will love reading where it all began for them!
I don’t think you have to have read all the other books to enjoy this one because you could technically read this as a prequel to all the other series but I do think you will really be missing out if you don’t read the other books.
In previous books we got to hear little bits and pieces about Edison and Wallace’s past but I loved getting to read their full story, Wallace’s story is so sad and made me love him even more. I also really enjoyed how Edison came to be. Now I need to go reread all the previous books!

Swoon worthy

Edison and Wallace’s story has been hinted at to varying degrees starting 17 books ago with War’s Mate. After long insisting she would never, I’m thrilled the author changed her mind and surprise wrapped up the Warlocks of Amherst series by going back to the early beginning. She’s terrific at providing their story in a way that felt appropriate to the time periods without getting bogged down in historical details that would take away from the emotions or relationship. I enjoyed learning about the original coven and how the vibrations came to be. It was also fun seeing a few previously mentioned events through the eyes of my favorite couple. Mostly though, I just adored reading how Edison and Wallace moved from strangers to #relationshipgoals. It was well worth the wait and I can’t wait to see how they feature in the next two series she has planned.

Love it!

I have always loved Edison and Wallace and I couldn't be more happy that we have finally been able to read about how they started. Taylor Rylan did not disappoint and has done these two characters justice with this book; even including the run around these characters gave her while trying to write their story. All I can say is, I CANNOT wait to see what other paranormal books/characters she adds next!

We finally got Edison and Wallace’s story and it was worth waiting for!

I love that we got to see how Edison and Wallace’s story began. We got to know them through the various series but to be able to see their love from first meeting and know that it has lasted all this time and only gotten stronger was wonderful. Poor Wallace went through so much, but I’m glad that I know just how amazing his life became and that he was able to have such a loving mate. Even though this is book six of the series it will read perfectly well as a stand-alone or as the first in the group of series that Edison and Wallace appear in.

Edison

Finally, the man, the myth, the legend!!! EDISON!!! Lol, no forreal, though. It was nice seeing Edison's beginning. More from the Goddess as well. I just love Edison and Wallace together. That they were and are the standard for a well loved relationship, family, and friends. Just a few more stories and I'm done!!!

No spoilers of any kind included.
I have waited impatiently for Edison and Wallace’s story since they were introduced in War’s Mate and I must say I was not disappointed when I finally got to read their story.
I absolutely loved this book, it was amazing!
Taylor Rylan is a very talented story weaver, which I’m always impatiently waiting for more of her work because of how much I enjoy reading her stories.
So yes I most definitely do recommend this book because I loved it!

I have been waiting and hoping that Taylor would give us Edison. She had previously given us little nuggets of information of Edison and Wallace’s past in previous stories. But we finally got the whole picture, and it was fantastic! Wallace’s backstory was heartbreaking, and I was on the verge of tears at times. It was interesting reading on how Edison came to be. Overall it was a fantastic story, really well written, highly recommend. I’m voluntarily reviewing from an advanced copy that I received. My reviews are solely based on my thoughts and opinions.

**********Contains Spoilers**********

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I loved that we got Edison and Wallace’s love story and how it began. It was cool to see how Edison came to be created and the creation of the first eight warlocks’ and why. The Goddess sure knew what she was doing by matching Edison and Wallace together as considering how powerful Edison is, Wallace isn’t threatened by his power and yes, he’s protective like any Alpha would be of their Omega but he knows that Edison can take care of himself. Wallace had been living rough in a cave by himself for approximately 30 years after the m*rder of his family when the Fate Thomas told Edison that it was time to go collect his One who’d been by himself for so long but wouldn’t make it through the Winter if Edison doesn’t go and get him. When Edison sees Wallace he knows that he needs to take care of him first before they bond so he takes them back to the Coven and runs Wallace a bath, cuts his hair and shaves his beard using magic and then feeds him since he’s so skinny for living it rough for so long when he really shouldn’t be, since he’s a Tiger shifter and they’re usually very muscular. I liked that they got to know each other before they bonded. It was cool finding out the reason that Warlock’s feel a vibration when their One is near and the reason for the deadline for how long they have to claim their One before the vibrations become too much for their bodies. It was the Goddess’s way of making sure Ones claim each other in a timely manner after it took so long for Frederick and Oliver two of the original eight Warlock’s took so long to claim each other and needed a push in the right direction as I think they would’ve denied each other for a lot longer had the Goddess not stepped in. It was awesome to see that there’s another series planned in the future about the Goddess’s children, the original created ones like Edison that she’s tasked Edison and Wallace to guide during their retirement, even though they shouldn’t be working lol as I’d happily read any books from this universe or any books that Taylor writes. I’m really looking forward to reading Diego’s book next when we return to the Beloved Gem Casino and Coven of Vampires. I’d definitely recommend this book, series, universe and author to everyone.

This book is part of the Warlocks of Amherst series which is part of The Universe of Destined Paranormals.
I read this one before reading book 1 of this series, as I have read the two previous series so really wanted to know his story, and honestly it should have been before the Honey Creek series, it would've helped with the world building etc. (which there wasn't much of in book 1). It was still a good read though and sets you up for the rest of this series so would recommend actually reading before starting book 1. I had wanted to know more about these two after they first appeared in book 1 of Honey Creek Den, how can you not want to know more! especially after 12 books so I don't think I could have waited to the end of this series to read it. it was good to get the background on both MCs, and it was a sad start for Wallace so it was nice to see him complete, healthy and happy after such a long time, the book does skip periods of time perhaps to keep the book short like the rest, though I doubt anyone would complain had this been longer, given who the book is about.
I like that these stories aren't too long as I think it would get a bit drawn out, but I found that the Honey creek series, Timber wolf series and then book 1 of Warlock of Amherst are all carbon copies of each other, there just isn't enough differences in the couples dynamics or how their mating's, births, and angst (super low) for me that I could easily skim read and not miss anything as you could definitely guess what was going to be said or what would happen, and I was totally over the overuse of sweetheart as the term of endearment, there are so many more that could be used to give the couples at least one difference. I have continued to read through the series though as I am determined to read Atticus from the Paranormal Council Enforcers series, (have a way to go yet) but have found that the Warlocks of Amherst book 2,3 and 4 have slightly broken away from repetitiveness of the previous books, although similar they do keep you intrigued enough to want to continue, which I am super grateful for and can only hope that continues through the rest of this series and the next two.
If you like the MM instant/fated mates, heats, MPreg, shifters, warlocks, low angst, age gaps (not all but a few), not long stories, lots of characters, then I do recommend reading the series within The Universe of Destined Paranormals.

When I started reading the previous two series, I kept my fingers crossed that there might be a book about Edison and Wallace, as they are probably one of my favourite, if not my favourite couple in the entire universe of all these series that the author has created. When I saw that a book about them existed here in the third series, I couldn't wait to read it. And I was definitely not disappointed... Ohhh...! What a great read it was! Add to that the interweaving of events from years back in the content and the author has me hooked. I adore this couple and they are definitely on my list of best couples. I'm going to read the Vampires of the Beloved Gem series now and hope it reads as well as the previous series.

It is now Edison and Wallace's turn to have their story told and it was so worth the wait. Wallace lost all of his family through tragedy and was barely existing in a cave until Edison found him. They were absolutely perfect for each other, the perfect match. I loved how in tune they were with one another so caring and protective of each other. I laughed, cried, and swooned all throughout their story. It was a story well worth the wait and I knew that once their story had a chance to be told, that I would fall in love and it would be my favorite and that is exactly what happened. I highly recommend this book to all...well done!!!!

Normally I don't like to write reviews, but this was so, so terrible on so many levels, I felt compelled to.

This is short, has no plot, no character development, no world building, insta love, pregnant within 1 day (?!?)... The writing is largely free of spelling and grammatical errors, I'll give it that. But the writing feels mostly like a story outline, not fleshed out at all. The dialogues are forced and unrealistic. Overall the story is just boring you to tears.

I'm not kidding you, this is Stormy Glenn-bad. The ratings on this site get more unreliable by the year, full of fake reviews etc.

I I liked it so much more than i was anticipating

When I saw this book was next in the series, I was worried that we would get a book that rehashed things that we already knew about Edison and Wallace in a kind of ‘greatest highlights’ thing. Luckily, that is not what this book is. We do see glimpses of the events that we have experienced through others’ POV, but this book is also setting up a new chapter in the paranormal world now that so much has changed. I’m excited to see how this new era develops.

This is the sixth and last Book in the : Warlocks of Amherst Book Series .

This was a amazing read we finally get to read about Edison and his one Wallace and it did not disappoint . This couple is my favorite in all three series I really loved there love story although I was lead to believe that they disliked each other when they first meant . That turned out to be not true book five I really enjoyed getting to know both Edison and Wallace looking forward to the next series Council Enforcers .

The first Warlock

This book is really interesting in that it's kind of the prequel to all the series - shifters and warlocks. It tells how Edison, the created one, first came into being and his beginning years - finding his One, Wallace, and helping to guide the first "turned" warlocks. I'm really glad that Taylor Rylan decided to write this book because it gives a lot of insight into the background of the warlocks and other paranormals.

I loved being able to see the backstories of both Edison & Wallace. Seeing how it all started just made me love these two more. The half star off, is because we see the births of Arthur & George, but not the others. So I would have just liked that little bit more. Okay I'm greedy I always want more. Anyway, I loved seeing that they were both so sweet & patient, just like they were when we first met them. Their love has truly lasted for centuries never wavering.

going back

going backward to move forward. it was nice to see where it all began with Edison and Wallace. although the writing and speaking style is a bit formal, it fits based on these characters and doesn't seem quite as formal as some of the earlier books which was refreshing. I think I'll reread the original series now lol

What’s not to Love!

I absolutely adored this story! Wallace and Edison have been in so many books as supporting characters and now we finally get their story! I loved reading about how things all began, how they meet, and how their first 1000 years went. Even if you haven’t read any other books by Taylor Ryan this is a must read!
