Made Marian Volume one ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.75
Such a great collection of three of the Marian siblings. Three great stories about how love isn’t always easy, but it is always worth any sacrificing that happens. Recommend this series!

Borrowing Blue ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Blue and Tristan were so stinking cute together. I loved how much fun they had together and how they really connected from the beginning. I loved how Tristan maybe needed a moment to shift how world view, but once he did he was all in. Blue was an overprotective, overthinking sweetie. But that’s what we loved about him. These two were so great together and I loved how they got their HEA.

Taming Teddy ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This book had a bit of a different feel to it. Not my favorite of the three but still really cute. Teddy and Jamie both have this deep passion for their work and I loved getting to see how they worked together to create something amazing. Their chemistry was spot on and I loved seeing them get together. I wasn’t a huge fan of the refusing to actually communicate that was happening near the end of the story. It’s just not my favorite thing in a romance. But how they got back together at the end was absolutely touching and amazing. Great story.

Jumping Jude ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Ah! Jude and Wolfe stole my heart. Their beginning was a bit of a rough start for them with their assumptions about the other but once they learned the truth? Such amazing chemistry. I really felt for them as they struggled to find that privacy they needed and yet balance Jude’s public image. They really showed that sometimes just love isn’t enough. You actually have to go the extra mile and take an action for that love to become firm and steady. Amazing story and loved these two!

Loved it!

I really enjoyed all the books in this volume. The short stories were really great too. My only problem was Jude's book; it was my favourite of the three novels because I love the hidden love aspect, but I felt that the stuff with Ari, Britta and Martin just fizzled out. Jude made an assumption about why he thought Britta did what she did but nothing was actually explained. Other then that I loved this volume, brilliant value for money.

Brilliant

Intriguing word play. Took a bit to get at times. Some real steamy moments between the protagonist. Most of the stories could easily stand alone.

Too many sex scenes but they are easy to skim through. I didn’t like the third act breakups, but with all that said I cared about the characters, and will be rereading this every 2-3 years.

For whatever reason, Lucy Lennox's books are just the right thing at the right time for me. Having ripped through the Aster Valley series, I dove right into this one. All three stories are great--steamy and charming and each distinct enough that you didn't feel like you were reading the same thing over and over. "Taming Teddy" was my personal favorite because I liked the setting and the guys' jobs (wildlife consultant (not sure if that's even a real thing) and wildlife photographer) were a nice change of pace. A few book-specific comments below.

Borrowing Blue--loved Blue and Tristan. They had great chemistry from the get-go. That said, I found it pretty unbelievable that Tristan just decides he's gay one day and everyone in his life is like "cool, cool, cool." It's not that I think people wouldn't be supportive, it's that no one even seemed that surprised. There's barely a conversation where a friend or family member says "so....you were married...to a woman....and now you're gay?" Or there's no office gossip at the vineyard about how their supposedly straight boss just starts kissing a guy one night? But I was admittedly so swept up in how great Tristan was with Blue that I just rolled with it.

Taming Teddy--my favorite. The characters had a lot of spark and I also liked how Lennox didn't do that thing where two characters get snowed in together for 3 days, fall in love, and emerge from the cabin ready to dive into life together even though they live in different places, having demanding jobs, whatever. I appreciated that both of these guys had to work through some things and make some decisions for themselves. Also, this made me want to visit Alaska so bad. I love national parks and all that talk about Denali had me looking at plane tickets.

Jude--this was probably my least favorite of these three, even though it was still good. The potential outing sub-plot seemed a little scattered to me. You've got ex-boyfriend Ari and a stalker and some photos and some threats of blackmail and a stabbing, but they didn't come together into a very cohesive plot. I wish Lennox had picked ONE of those storylines and fleshed it out a little more. That said, Jude and Derek have a lovely story. I also appreciated how Derek's family didn't just accept him with open arms. That struck me as realistic. Lennox's books are a little like "Schitt's Creek" in the sense most people are accepting, supportive, and loving. But that isn't the real world and I liked that reminder.

Three wonderful swoony books

I loved, loved all three of the stories in this volume. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would. The three couples are some my all time favorite book couples. Oh the feels in these books - one minute I was snort laughing, the next I was swooning, then gasping, and then I was crying. The way the main characters’ growing feelings for each other were portrayed while they were sorting out their fears and their pasts and trying desperately to figure out how to fit together was delicious perfection.

Borrowing Blue

Tristan is a divorced former corporate attorney who now owns a vineyard. He has been living as a straight man for the majority of his adult life. Blue is a graphic designer for a men’s fitness magazine. Blue is at Tristen’s vineyard for his sisters wedding. Blue’s ex will be at the wedding and after a swoon worthy kiss, Tristan agrees to pretend to be Blue’s boyfriend for the wedding week. And so starts their journey to forever.

Taming Teddy

Teddy Kodiak is a wildlife photographer who lives in Manhattan but travels extensively on assignment. Jamie Marian is a wildlife consultant who currently lives in Denali National Park in Alaska. Teddy desperately wants to photograph Jamie but Jamie is not interested. After Teddy pushes his way into Jaime’s life, sparks immediately fly and so starts the beautiful dance toward their HEA.

Jumping Jude

Jude is a famous country star who is a closeted gay. Derek is a former Marine turned bodyguard who is also in the closet. When Derek is assigned as Jude’s personal bodyguard and is with Jude 24/7, the sparks and the love are inevitable.

These were all swoony, hilarious, fun, sweet, steamy, heart warming stories with very little angst. While I love reading romances for the HEA, when real life issues are included it makes for more three dimensional characters and more well rounded storylines. This was done perfectly here. Now on to the next Marion sibling.

This is not a book. This is a list of chronological events and descriptions. They almost added up to a story. A story you probably do not want to read. I don’t know why you would try. It was unusual for me to continue reading it for this long. It’s just a bunch of unvaried sentences. That talk about things abruptly.

For example: He went over to my cousin. We talked with Sarah and Anne and Tilly. Then we laughed over drinks. The wine was very good. It was a red one. After that we took Piper for a walk. I thought about my ex. My ex is an asshole. (Not an actual quote, but definitely the actual feel)

Just…arrg!! Mix it up a little! And the “fake dating” in the first book (I didn’t even make it to send second or third), was…not really fake? It just, like, MISSED THE WHOLE TROPE. IDEK how. Maybe this is borderline-readable, but I’ve got other shit to do with my life, so I’m out.
