President Cameron Jamison, first female president of the United States, is under attack from an unknown threat. Special Agent Danica Lee, head of the president's secret service detail, must do everything in her power to ensure the president's safety. During a routine appearance by President Jamison at a conference in Geneva, a terrorist attack initiates a chain of events; events that drive the two women together in ways they never thought possible. What ensues is a love story filled with romance, action and deception.
DNF @ 15%... I was so excited after reading the description because I love this kind of story, but as I was reading it just didn’t feel serious enough... I don’t know if it’s the writing style or the characters and the dialogues... I don’t know how to explain it, but it felt a little immature?? Like the characters’ behaviors were just off for me. The President and the special agent didn’t act like one expects them to act, if that makes sense. Well, anyways, because of that I couldn’t finish it sadly because that aspect was lowkey irking me.
"You're new." "Yes Ma'am." "I don't have friends here." "I...we can't...I can't be your friend." And so it goes. The author lays the groundwork for a story of two women who find the other attractive but one's the president and the other her bodyguard. The intrigue in who's trying to assassinate the president is nail biting and when I found out I was speechless. Missiles, bullets, body shielding, I was wondering when it would all stop. Exciting and edge of my seat reading. The love story was priceless. Effective writing and a good read.
I loved this book. I had it downloaded for a few months and I just decided to give it a read. OMG! I am so glad I did. I love the bodyguard type stories but this one exceeded my expectations. For a debut novel, this storyline was so on point. Lesbian President, Hot Sexy Security Agent, sexual tensions all came together. This story had everything, sexual chemistry, sex, love and honor and a great storyline that kept you reading until the conclusion. No detailed review needed, just read it.
Another good presidential book ! I love those, and i never heard of this one before someone recommend it to me. This is not only a romance, but also kind of a thriller, and there are a lot of sadness and grief. I really enjoyed the MC and particularly president Jamison who is witty, funny and smart. The secondary caracters are also great and add to the story. The chemistry is off the chart right from the start and the story unfold quite naturaly.
Maybe for the con : the "I love you" came really fast ! But hey... lesbians, right?
Loved loved loved this book so much I sat and read it in a day. Great pace, mixed with action and good conversation. I loved the characters both the main two and the supporting cast. Highly recommend it ! My only critique is that handguns don’t have clips… they have magazines! An ex-army sniper would know that!
Great story, Cam and Dani are amazing together. I hope I'm right in thinking that this story deserves a part 2. Ms. Cullen did an excellent good for her debut. Congratulations, you certainly have a hit with this one.
The writer did a great job with this story idea. It held my attention throughout and I was sad to see the story end. Will be reading more from this author.
This story is wonderful, and in reading it, I don’t care at all if the characters act differently than some would expect. I loved the chemistry between the characters. I was glued to the story for hours. I feel like it is rare that lesbian romances have good action, so it was a great surprise that this book has not only such a wonderful love story, but also lots of action. The romance between the women is really sweet and tender. I look forward to reading more of this author in the future. Well done!
