When the impossibly handsome Alistair Overton approached curvy Cami Bakersfield on the dancefloor of a nightclub she could not believe her luck.

Little did she know, there was nothing lucky about this. She had already been CHOSEN.

But this was NOT your typical afterparty.

These men were the Overtons and they all had the unique ability to shapeshift into strong, fire-breathing dragons.

More Dragon politics than romanceToo Common themes

Over the years I have read many shifter and reverse harem books. This one starts with a group of dragons finding a human who is prophesied to help save the dragon race. Common theme. She is kidnapped but quickly convinced to stay and learn about her dragon heritage. Common theme. Quickly she shows she has a backbone and will not let this handsome group manipulate or cross any personal boundaries. Common theme.

Unfortunately this book is lacking. First it's common for paranormal books to have the main characters fighting the establishment. But this Author wants you to understand this situation in so much detail it starts to feel like a text book. It also felt like when I see a video on people doing a first reading of a movie the actors are dry in expression and writers or directors or who ever they are are constantly explaining why something is happening. And the another person jumps in with a counter point. And then another.

It's there but lacking in romance department. Despite the few mediocre attempts the group of male dragons do not express they are attracted or have romantic feelings towards Cami the human turning dragon in a way that you are routing for them to win her heart. Very subpar. There really is only one scene that hints to romance.

There is sex but...These men have known for ever that there is a possibility all four could be chosen by the one. Yet they have no sexual experience as a group. In these type of books each individual needs their own explanation of attraction or fighting their attraction to the Heroine. The second component is how the group interact as a group to earn the Heroine's love. So the discussion of having no experience as a group creates a lack of confidence. And every reader knows confidence is very sexy. Usually emotional desire & sexual confidence create the best books.

Even Cami acts very indifferent to the men when they need her most. She shows no compassion for their role in the story. I think the author is trying to show her strength and independence. But all it does is make me ask, Are these people even attracted to each other? What are they fighting for? Felt like politics more than love.

The only part that makes me want to continue this is the last scene. The strong, smart, independent, Cami is compromised in a way that I want to see her revenge.

The blurb about the book goes on about these sexy men trying to get her pregnant. But I find that's a side note to learning dragon politics. Yes there are 2 sex scenes but its lacking the bonds female readers cling to. It's not bad but there are better books out there. It's just one of those books an author gets caught up in telling their story rather than understanding why people read these genres. This is a fantasy that could never happen in real life. Politics definitely happen in real life and most people do everything they can to avoid it because its definitely not fun or romantic. Yes a book needs conflict, rising action, and crisis and the author tries but the execution is so dry. Wish I could help more authors like this one. Too many are putting their foot in these genres and doing sloppy job.

I don't think the blurb did this book any justice. I almost didn't read this just from the blurb, since I like a story to go along with sex in the books I read. The blurb made it sound like this was going to be all sexcapades. There was only 2 sex scenes in this book, both ménage, but nothing real crazy, so that was a surprise for me. But I ended up liking this enough to look if book 2 was available due to the cliff-hanger ending (it wasn't as of the time I read this).

There were some definite problems with the editing & with the plot. There were some very annoying edit issues where a "box" looking symbol would appear, and there would be some words missing in the sentence where that box appears. I have never seen this before, so don't know what to attribute this to. This alone -was almost enough to have me quit reading. This is what really hurt my star rating on the book. A published book shouldn't have this type of issues. The flow was a bit erratic thru the whole book, and the world building was a learn as the main character (Cami) learns sort of situation. I felt there were some parts that weren't explained enough and other parts that were a bit repetitive. I did like the guys in the RH for the most part, though- as a reader I didn't really learn a lot about them, but their behavior was likable -for me. But Cami had a few moments that I felt were very off-putting, but had other moments that were likable. I'm hoping that the main characters develop a bit more in book 2, or it could be a make or break situation for me to be continuing with the series after that.

ONE DAZZLING DELIGHT!!!
The heat is on! Samantha hit the nail on the head, laying the foundation and stabilizing the walls, riding the wind and blasting this baby to life beautifully. One mesmerizing, sensational, heart pounding, pulse racing, block buster, sending this gem into the eye of storm, thrusting it into a tailspin with stunning impacts. Disbursing incredible, well rounded scenario's, solid and tangible, striking hard and ramping up the stakes, blazing this bad boy together piece by piece seamlessly. Braving the trials and tribulations, ever changing and solid, keeping pace with a bounty of plot twists and thrilling turns, revving it up, testing our characters in ways they could have never anticipated. The chemistry and attraction is intense and explosive, sizzling from the pages, drawing you deeper into this overload of emotions, feeling the electricity running rampant through your viens. The characters and their on point personalities are realistic with depth and qualities that balance and blend showcasing their diversities. The scenes are so graphically detailed it paints a colorful backdrop that makes the storyline pop. Fantastic job Samantha, thanks for sharing this little gem with us.

This is a really enjoyable & intriguing dragon shifter reverse harem romance with a well-written, interesting plot that has good scene descriptions & world building. The characters are well-developed with good chemistry between them & continue to develop throughout the story-line.
There is: a curvy young woman (Camille aka Cami) is approached by a rather attractive man (Alister) & somehow lands up living in a mansion with four very attractive men (Alistair, Nicholas, Elijah & Dylan) who happen to be dragon shifters & part of the Overton clan with the firm belief that she is part of a prophecy, Elders, dragon shifters, family issues, rivalry, political issues, twists & turns, drama, intrigue, magic, a sort of abduction, trust issues, secret societies, manipulations, devious plans, latent traits/abilities, prophecies, compromises, disclosure, curiosity, investigations, graphic dreams, humiliation, verbal conflict, suspicions, truthfulness, tribunal summons, defiance, accusations, violence & conflict but sadly this book does end in a cliffhanger.

Alistair Overton approached curvy Cami Bakersfield on the dancefloor of a nightclub and changed her life. When he invited her home, she ends up with four of the sexiest men she had ever seen – but they weren’t just men. Each one of them had the ability to shapeshift into strong, fire-breathing dragons! They needed to keep Cami with them at least a week to activate the dormant genes of Finn Keane’s daughter. So they were kind of making up tests to keep her occupied but not so much as to reveal everything, in case it made her uneasy enough to run. Cami finds that she is part of a prophecy and is required to live with these four dragon shifters until she becomes pregnant, the first step of her saving the entire dragon species!

This is a good start to a new series that will capture the reader’s attention. What is the prophecy? How can Cami save their species? Grab your copy and enjoy the chemistry among Cami and her mates.

This was interesting. Cami was raised without a father her whole life. Her dad was a powerful dragon and his gift is only passed to his blood relations. Not being around dragons, her dragon DNA is dormant and needs to be awakened by close proximity to other dragons. Four cousins from the Overton clan found Cami and are trying to activate her dragon side. Things are not as easy as they sound however. There is a Dragon Council, other clans and a prophecy to contend with. The guys push boundaries and Cami is willing to learn. This is humorous and at times a bit frustrating. Cami knows there is more she's not being told, but will she ever know everything? I love the way she puts the Council's representatives in their place when they try to strong arm her to their will. She has a lot on her plate and I can't wait to see how she handles the Council in the future. I requested an advanced reader copy from Booksprout and am under no obligation to leave this review.

***SPOILERS***

There is a lot going on in this story and there are a lot of characters to get used to. There is a list of things I wish were different. I feel like we are tossed in with Cami and just pretty much takes it in stride. I know nothing about her past except she is one of the remaining single ladies in her friend group and she hates her job. She quickly becomes some awesome girl who takes finding out that she is a dragon with ease that just doesn't seem real. Now, I will say that I am automatically teaming Alistar because I usually become attached to the first romantic interest. However, there are so many for Cami to choose from. Samantha Snow does do a good job with giving a better idea of who each suitor is with different perspectives, which is why I think this is successful. I wish that there was more time with the Overton guys before throwing in the Egans but I think that it will work itself out.

I received this ARC thanks to the author, and am voluntarily giving my review. This is the first book in a new series by Samantha and I can't wait to read the next one. If you liked House Of Vampires, you will really enjoy finding out about Samantha's new dragons. Four amazing guys know that the dragon race must continue. They believe Cami is the answer, that she is part of a prophesy. She finds herself in their home with their future in her hands. It's she prepared to have a baby, and with dragons at that? This storyline is very well written and the characters are great. It has twists and turns that kept me reading long after i went to bed. If you enjoy rh books, you won't be disappointed by starting this series.

Cami has to pick between four hot dragon shifters. Or does she? Cami meets an attractive man at a bar, dances and has a few drinks with him, then allows him to put her in a cab. Then she later wakes up in a strange bed in a strange home. Alistair has brought her to the home he shares with his cousins because they believe Cami is the secret to fulfilling a prophecy. That she must mate with one of them to ensure the continuation of the dragon shifters. But Cami isn’t a dragon. Or is she? They have a few weeks to get her abilities to show up before a rival clan finds her and tries to take her away. This book ends in a cliffhanger and I can’t wait to find out what happens next. When Cami is knocked out and taken home with a guy she met at a bar. She wakes up the next morning in a strange bedroom and in Pjs without knowing how she got there. She then meets the Overton cousins who offer her a years salary if she will just stay a week with them. After she agrees they explain they knew her father and she is one of their kind. during the week she finds out they are dragons and she is one of them but has to be around them to activate her dragon genes. This is a really good story but was disappointed that it was continued into a second book instead finishing the story in one.

I received a free copy of this book
via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. I received this book as part of a box set including all three books in this series.
Camille is enjoying a night out with her girlfriends. Celebrating the coming marriage of a friend. She makes a decision to hang out at the club after the end. That decision leads her on the path with dragons.
The storytelling is nice. The characters are well developed throughout this series. I enjoyed the multiple veiwpoints.
The back and forth between the Overtone and Evans is starting to wear on me.
All in all a good story.

I find it more than a bit disingenuous to lump this in with the House of Vampires. So far there has been no mention of any vampiric characters in this volume. Looking ahead in what is listed as a 45 book series I see bears, demons, demigods, etc., not vampires. Will the author ever return to Jessica and her reverse harem? The storyline is fairly repetitious in that all of the MC females are expected to have a baby with one of the absolutely irresistible hotties. Much like Hallmark movies the plot is the same with only the actors and locations changing. I think I’m done.

On a positive note I see fewer spelling and grammatical errors so far...

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. The book is about a woman(Camille) that was being search for. by a Clan of Dragon so she can help them. They want to have Cami to stay with them because of her father and who he is. Camille did not know anything about her father but his name because her mother left him before he knew that she was with child. Now would be the time to buy this book so you can find out what happens. I will be buying more from this author. Thank You for writing the books so we can read it.

Cami goes to a bar and hooks up with a sexy man whom she allows to take her home. When she wakes up she's not at home, well at least not her home. She is in a fabulous apartment and is faced with a total of four sexy men, but what she doesn't know is that they believe she is the one to save their race. These characters are written in a manner that allows the reader to connect with them. The plot is not new but shows creativity. This is the beginning of a new series and has a cliffhanger ending. I am voluntarily posting an honest review after reading an Advance Reader Copy of this story.

The book was well written and the story and characters were both well developed. I loved the individual character personalities and the relationship dynamics. The story was great. It had action, suspense, intrigue, emotion and hot chemistry. I can’t wait for the next book!! I’d highly recommend this book!!

NB: This book ends on a cliffhanger.

Camille (Cami) is at a nightclub one night a gorgeous man Alister walks up to her and she wakes up in a mansion and she is told that she is part of a prophecy, but instead of being with one dragon shifter she has Alister’s cousins/ clan members Dylan, Elijah and Nicholas who believe that she is the one but Cami is angry is angry with them but the guys offer Cami something she might not be able to resist for a week to stay at the mansion. Fantastic story and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

This book is so frustrating. You keep waiting for the moment the h will finally decide she is interested in the Hs but it doesn’t happen. Yes there are two sex scenes but neither of them give you any kind of emotional connection between the h and the Hs. You’re stuck wondering when this will be come a romance novel and not just a guide to dragon politics in this created world. The only reason I even want to read the next book in the series is to find out how the dragon politics are resolved and in hopes the author redeems the story by actually having a romance.

Absolutely horrible. I don’t understand how anyone can say this was good.

It was messy from the start with Cami staying behind at the bar after the bachelorette party was over. It was worse when the tab stayed open and she ordered drinks off it.

Then dancing and Alistair having “magic” when he SINGS to people it makes them want to go to sleep?????

Cami waking up to FOUR cousins????

The plot was messy af. The characters were not strong.

I only made it to 44% before I bailed. This was painful, painfully terrible.

Great boxset! This is Cami's story. She gets kidnapped by four guys and they try to get her on their side. They mess up somehow and now she meets other dragons and she gets to shift in a dragon too. Now she must decide who to choose as mates and fulfill a prophecy. Things go a bit different than the guys had antisepated but Cami chooses her own path.

WEIRD shift in writing style

But for the better. It’s almost as if someone else wrote the book. The manner of language is different, stylization is different; not particularly a fan of the sudden shift from first to third person, but overall much less confusing to read because none of the sentences are missing words or mis defining words. Let’s hope the next book remembers everyone’s names 😬

I love a good shapeshifter book and this one was amazing. To be thrown into the world of Dragons has to be hard to believe but that's what happens to Cami. Their are alot of rules In the dragon world and the Overton Clan have been looking for her a long time. Rules have been broken so what will happen to them all. I was sucked into this story, so good.

Dragon Heir!

It was too bad that the Overton dragons kidnapped Cami, but she agreed to stay with them. She was coming into her powers and could take everyone’s powers away from them. The Egan clan had the Elders take her in iron cuffs so she couldn’t do anymore damage to the dragons since she took all of their powers away and wouldn’t give them back.
