A great book for writers who are just coming into furry writing - really informative with lots of different points.
I definitely recommend this for all beginner furry writers. Even some of the more experienced ones could probably learn a few things from this as well.

I never read a non-fiction book about furry fiction before, so I bought this one to see what is was all about. I quite enjoyed this book. It's interesting to read about a topic I don't know much about. This book is a great guide if you're planning to write fury characters or anthropomorphic characters in your books.

I like how the authors explain what furry fiction is and give plenty of examples. The best part of this book for me is the way they ask questions that make you think about how these anthropomorphic characters would act and which of their animal characteristics in appearance and behavior they keep and which not. And also how you can integrate that in your story. And also how each of those options is valuable and it all depends on your story and book what you decide.

It definitely made me consider how authors describe their animal like characters, shapeshifters or even aliens and the ways they can describe that and make them feel more animal like or alien like. Definitely a great read to pick up if you're writing or planning to write anthropomorphic or animal characters.

This book is a comprehensive look at a specific genre that is way deeper than I realized previously. It takes on a list-dumping kind of tone because there's just *so much* to cover, but it's a useful reference guide to make sure you don't miss a significant part of world-building. A very useful reference as I work on a portal fantasy short story with a talking weasel!

While I personally am unlikely to use some of these techniques, I can easily see how they might be useful. The authors offer a practical guide to developing anthropomorphic and feral characters who will be believable and interesting.

The only guide to writing furry characters you’ll ever need. After reading this guide, I now understand why the spiders in Children of Time were written so well, as well as why I dislike the latest books published in the Warrior Cats series. If you have an animal character in one of your stories, this book is a must read!
