From USA Today bestselling author Jennifer Sucevic comes the next sexy standalone novel in the Campus Series. Carson Roberts is Western University’s most sought after tight end. He’s the total package. A pretty face to go along with all those sculpted muscles—check. An All-American—double check. A guaranteed one-way ticket to the NFL after graduation—triple check. Did I happen to mention that he’s also my brother’s best friend, which means I grew up with the guy and have crushed on him for nearly just as long? We’re talking a decade of unrequited yearning here, folks. Don’t worry, I’m slowly coming to terms with the fact that he’ll never see me as anything more than the little sis he never had. Sort of. And even if he did just so happen to notice that I’ve filled out and no longer wear braces, Brayden would have a major conniption. When it comes to the male species, he’s ridiculously overprotective. Any guy who has so much as given me a bit of side-eye has been treated to a swift and memorable beat down. Which is precisely why I’m still in possession of my V-card. Want to know how to make being a nineteen-year-old virgin with a major crush on her brother’s best friend even more pathetic? Blurt out at a frat party that you’ve spent all these years saving yourself for him. Sadly, I can’t even blame it on the alcohol because I don’t drink. If you’re thinking it can’t possibly get more humiliating than that, you’d be wrong. Oh. So. Wrong.
*This is a mature New Adult novel with strong language and sexual situations intended for readers over the age of 18*

Campus Hottie is sweet. It is cheesy with Carson being hopeless in love with Elle. Carson is suppose to be the bad boy. Miss Sucevic needs to elevate the swoony feeling for Carson and Elle.
The conversation, the banter and the cheesy plot flow nicely together. This is NA romance. I like the brother sister relationship between Elle and Brandon. I am in the nood for something chessy. So here it is....
Gave up on attempting to read this the second the hero admitted he had sex with countless other women because they looked like the heroine and he "couldn't have her". My eyes rolled so hard, they almost fell out of my head.
Also, the heroine was "madly in love" with the hero but it seems like it will be some sort of love triangle between her, the hero, and her PROFESSOR because that man rescued her and she's attracted to him?? Not my type of book.
It’s a classic: I love my best-friend’s little sister
It’s so full of chemistry and sexual tension, you won’t help but loving it.
I couldn’t put it down for a second, and yes it has everything to do with Carson. He’s a real campus hottie, and he has the biggest crush on his best friend’s little sister since forever. He hide his feelings for a long time but now something has changed , and he can’t help but listen to is instincts. This time there was no way back.
Ella has always had the biggest crush on his brother’s best friend , who wouldn’t? he’s a hottie. But with time those feelings just got bigger, and now that they are in the same campus everything’s got complicated .
I was really into this story but I think I’m kinda over the whole (taboo) forbidden BF sister/brother trope. I never did quite understand why you wouldn't want your sister/brother date/marry your BF? Like that person is your ride or die but they are not good enough to be with them? I'm a strange bird so you can ignore me if you don't agree :)
Now back to the story; I really like both Carson and Elle. Their attraction was leaping from the pages and the slow burn had me biting my nails for them to just finally find a common ground and decided that all the troubles (her brother/his BF) were worth in the end. They had feelings for each other for so long it was time to see where it would lead them. I was really happy with this story and the way the HEA came to happen. Over all this was a nice read spent curled up on my couch with a glass of wine in my hands.

"Being anywhere near Elle is dangerous. Every day, my self-control slips a notch, becoming more of a paper-thin veneer."
Carson Roberts and Elle Kendricks have known each other since childhood. Elle's brother, Brayden, is his best friend but he's pretty tight with Elle, too. He's always looked out for her and that hasn't changed as they've grown older and now at the same college. Unbeknownst to the other, they've both held a mutual crush for years. Carson has tried his damnedest to keep to his side of the friendship line, but a moment of weakness has them crossing the line and Elle blurting out her deepest feelings. When that knowledge is out in the open between them, Carson has to decide if he is willing to jeopardise his friendship with Brayden for a chance at forever with Elle.
"Even when I didn't think there was a chance in hell you would ever belong to me, it was you. In my thoughts and dreams, it was you."
This story was filled with tension and sparks between Carson and Elle. Once they'd crossed the line, I loved how Carson fought hard to keep to his good intentions, but Elle made it pretty hard. He comes across as a good, steady guy but when Elle well-being is threatened, I loved his show of protective instincts, as well as his possessiveness. When they were found out, I loved that he stood by Elle. However, I felt that they both could have fought harder with Brayden because Elle is a grown woman, and Carson was obviously a fabulous friend and more than good enough for her.
Carson has had a crush on Elle for as long as he can remember but she is off limits because she is his best friends little sister. And we all know little sisters are a no go zone. So he does his best to be there for her and protect her. Which means Elle has two overbearing men stopping her from having all the fun in college. Elle has been crushing on Carson just as long but she assumed he only ever saw her as a little sister. One night at a frat party she lets her feelings be known and he pushes her away in the most embarrassing way. But that night changes everything for both of them and nothing will ever be the same.
Elle and Carson were definitely a rollercoaster. The angst, the push and pull between these two made this one hard to put down. This was a bit of a slow burn but it was filled with so many sweet and swoony moments between Carson and Elle. I think my favorite part of this book is watching Elle develop and grow. I loved he her strength and how she wasn't afraid to push Carson and give him a piece of her mind. Truly enjoyed that. There is a plot line that I felt needed more developing or should have been intertwined with the story a bit more. I felt it was picked up and used as needed and was a bit under developed. I also wished that I would have seen more of a fight but overall I enjoyed this book, would recommend and am looking forward to more books in this world.
This book is my favorite in this series so far. I loved Carson and Elle and they made an adorable couple. The sweetest!
Elle and Carson go way back. Carson is her brother’s (Brayden from book 2) best friend since kindergarten and she’s crushing on him as long as she can remember. Carson feels the same way but doesn’t act on it, because he’s afraid to loose Brayden’s friendship. When Elle blurts out on a party that she’s saving herself for him, Carson is stunned. It’s getting harder and harder to deny his feelings and once he’s in he’s in for the full amount. You can see him struggling with his feelings for Elle and what that would mean for his friendship with Brayden. Elle is the sweetest heroine.
Elle is the main pursuer in their relationship. Carson pushes her away most of the time. Normally I like my heroes to do the chasing, but his POV makes up for it. He’s quite alpha and protective.
When Brayden discovers their relationship he reacts explosive. But everything solves quite easily. The ending was wrapped up in a matter of pages.
Trigger warning: sexual assault (on page). Elle is harassed by one of her teachers.
Safety: safe read. Carson was a player before, but celibate for 6 months. Although he was in love with Elle for years, he did sleep with girls who looked like her. He stopped sleeping around when he discovered it made him feel empty and dirty. Elle was a virgin. OM drama with the teacher who is clearly interested and a CREEP. Brayden wants to keep Elle and Carson apart, but only to “protect” her. No OW drama, however there are a few girls hanging around Carson but he’s not interested and doesn’t do anything with them. No cheating or sex with OP.

Oh My! Carson and Elle slayed my heart in this best friends little sister college romance story. Sweet and possibly a little naive Elle has crushed on her brothers best friend Carson for as long as she can remember and Carson has wanted his best friends little sister almost equally as long. But...... We all know your best friends little sister is a NO GO zone, completely forbidden. But... When the connection and desire you feel is soul deep, can you really break your own heart and walk away? Or do you fight for love and a HEA with the one you love? The journey for Carson and Elle is a rollercoaster ride that I absolutely devoured. It's sweet, swoony, angsty, and riddled with a whole lot of alphaness, an uber protective brother, and a twist that will have you wondering what's going to happen. A Highly Recommended Read! And.... With a few secondary 'playboy' characters in the wings I'm hoping Sucevic will give each a story, because who doesn't love seeing a playboy being brought to their knees.
For as long as she can remember, Elle has had a crush on her brother Brayden's friend, Carson. Unfortunately, he always saw her as just a little sister. But now that they're in college, he might be seeing her in a whole new light. Will he forsake the non breakable bro code because his own feelings for her have grown so strong? Or is his friendship with Brayden more important than what he could have with Elle?
As brother's friend/forbidden romances go, Campus Hottie is pretty damn good. Carson and Elle are incredibly sweet together, even as their feelings were burning so strongly. Elle is a sweetheart, with strength she doesn't know she possesses, and Carson's character growth is a standout in this already wonderful story. I haven't read the first two stories in this series, but I am definitely going to go back and read them now!

3.5 stars. So this would have been a 4* because I liked the characters, the chemistry was there, the asshole professor got his balls handed to him by Elle. But I’m sorry if Carson couldn’t stand up to Brayden and say F*** you I choose Elle over our friendship nothing you say will stop me being with her then quite frankly he doesn’t deserve her. The whole ‘I don’t want to stay away I won’t’ would have been swoon worthy of that would have happened BEFORE the brother gave him his ‘blessing’ erggh annoys me just writing it.
I've been waiting for Carson & Elle since I read Campus Heartthrob and Jennifer Sucevic gave me everything I needed from this story. I loved that things between these two characters were much more complicated than I imagined, that it was full of drama, angst, sensuality and love, plus the rest of the characters in this series are very interesting, varied and fun in different ways, and they have me wanting to know who will be next.
From the first time I read Elle she stole my heart, but in this book I fell in love completely. She's a cute, kind girl who wants to be a theater actress, she's determined, works hard and has been in love with Carson, her brother's best friend, since she has memory. Elle has a flirtatious, determined and brave side that she didn't expect, but I really enjoyed reading it, and her struggle with statistics and her desire to improve in her classes seemed so real. I love reading her love for Brayden, and the struggle she faces to support her mom, get over the loss of her dad, and get what she wants from Carson.
I think Carson is the more complicated of the two main characters, is a popular athlete, attractive and has also had feelings for Elle for a long time , but he faces quite a big conflict, because he doesn't want to betray Brayden's trust and his family, even though his feelings for Elle are stronger than Carson thought, and although this character made me suffer a lot throughout the book, it also broke my heart to read his guilt for loving "the wrong girl."
But even with the suffering and obstacles, Carson & Elle were beautiful to read, I really liked that Jennifer showed us memories of their childhood together and how important the Kendriks are in Carson's life because it helped me understand his inner conflict and his refusal to accept his feelings for Elle. I loved reading the constant tension between them, the attraction that neither can deny and the moments they share together, romantic or not.
Campus Hottieis the third book in theCampusseries by Jennifer Sucevic. This College Romance follows the Forbidden trope of Best Friends Little Sister/Brothers Best Friend, telling the story of Elle Kendricks and Carson Roberts through their dual perspectives.
Elle and Carson have been apart of each other’s lives for as long as they can remember. Seeing as Carson happens to be Elle’s older brother Brayden’s best friend. But what no one knows is, Elle has been harbouring a major crush on Carson. Whilst Carson having watched Elle grow up, leads to his feelings changing for his best friends little sister into something more. But it’s a Forbidden Big No No Area and so there is no way either can step forward. Not at the risk of losing something in the process.
Campus Hottiewas definitely sweet and cute with the romantic and swoony moments that take place, leading to some steamy fire when push came to shove. Yet at the same time, it was emotional from the suspense, pain and sadness that occurs. All throughout Jennifer definitely had you feeling a variety of emotions, considering the deep and meaningful journey that Elle and Carson’s story takes you on. One of which consisted of growth, with Elle we got to see her come out of her shell more and showcase her self as being strong, independent and willing to take a stance for what she wanted. For which I had to give her props, because it wasn't easy for her. As for Carson, with how he was mentioned as being, he proved how far he had come and how much he changed. Especially when it came to proving to others he wasn't the same person he was when he first came to college.
Despite the ups and downs of Elle and Carson’s journey there was a combustible attraction between the two that kept drawing them to one another. Something neither couldn't ignore, no matter how hard they tried. Mainly in Carson’s case, given how hard he tried to fight it. But that was proof right there they were meant to be together, since it was a battle for either of them to stay away or not act on their feelings. A true testament in a way, since it helped to make them realise and understand whether what they had would be worth the pain it could cause considering the secrets that were hidden in the process.
My only critique was whilst Elle and Carson were figuring things out, there was a smaller backstory happening at the same time throughout. However at one point, that storyline seemed to up and disappear. At least that was the case until near the end when it was brought back again, as if it never faded. And for that I wasn’t keen on it. I felt like the only reason it was mentioned again was to wrap up the loose ends it would’ve left if it wasn’t brought back to the forefront. Plus it was rushed through with ending it. If there had been more consistency with it, then it probably could’ve worked out better IMO.
Overall,Campus Hottiewas not only a good read. But I would probably have to say it was my favourite book from theCampusseries by Jennifer Sucevic. She did a great job telling Elle and Carson’s story. I look forward to see whose book will be next in theCampusseries.
*I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Steamy, sweet, and heartfelt, Campus Hottie is the kind of book that you’re going to fall in love with and not want to put down. It’ll make you feel all the feelings, and by the end of it you’ll be happy that you did.
This is the third book in the Campus Series and features Elle and Carson. They’ve known each other since they were just kids, since Carson’s best friend, Brayden, is Elle’s big brother. Growing up together, they’ve both had an attraction, both physical and emotional, for just about forever. However, neither could nor would ever do anything about it because of Brayden. They each pined for the other for years, but they don’t know anything about how the other feels until one night at a college party where things take a turn. They fight their undeniable connection, but eventually things progress into different territory. In this story, we get to see how Elle and Carson move from two people with an unrequited love for the other into a whole other thing and whether it could even ever be.
Both Elle and Carson were so well developed, and their feelings were so well shown that you just have to root for these two to find a way to make things work despite the obstacles before them. The bond between these two has so much gravity, and I loved seeing their journey, even when Carson frustrated me (and certainly Elle) with his continued denial/suppression of his feelings. Elle is so sweet and likeable, and Carson is completely charming and protective over Elle (in a sweet way) that their characters simply made me fall in love with their relationship.
And the angst! So much angst! Elle and Carson had me happy then frustrated then annoyed and then happy again so many times. It was completely compelling. And their story is more than just a college/sports romance. To me, it’s a story of self-discovery and learning how to navigate the world around them during such a formative part of someone’s life. These characters were written in such a way that there’s a clear depth to them that I really didn’t anticipate, but I’m so pleased that it’s there. It makes this story the kind that I’m sure will stick with me for a while.
All in all, this is a sweet and totally satisfying read. It’s got all the parts of a good college/sports romance with an intensity that will keep you interested.
☆☆☆☆☆ Campus Hottie was an incredible and entertaining read! This story consisted of the following tropes – brother’s best friend, virgin, unrequited love, sports romance and new adult. They came together to make an engaging and engrossing story from start to finish. Carson Roberts has been Brayden Kendricks' best friend for years. Unknown to Carson, Brayden's baby sister, Elle has had a crush on him for a decade. Carson has always cared for her and protected her like a brother so she assumed that’s all he saw her as. Now, she’s at Western University, along with Carson. He’s the University’s most valued tight end on the football team and is predicted to have a guaranteed spot in the NFL after graduation. He is gorgeous, smart and hides his own attraction to Elle. Her family means the world to him, not to mention his best friend. Hearing her surprise announcement, at a frat party of all places, that she’s saved her virginity for him, leads him to embarrass her in a rather cruel manner. These two were meant for each other, if they could just overcome all the many reasons why they shouldn’t be together. There is an intense sexual tension between them that had me on the edge of my seat, waiting for it to break. Their chemistry leads to an explosion of heat and hearts ready to love the other. Their story had a satisfying amount of angst, slow burn beginning and entertaining push and pull between the them with a surprise twist thrown in. I highly recommend reading this book. This is my honest opinion, freely given.
This is book 3 in the Campus series & it’s about Carson & Elle. Carson plays for the university’s football team with Elle’s brother. They’ve been best friends for a long time, having grown up with each other. Carson has always secretly had a thing for Elle. Unlike Carson, Elle has always worn her heart on her sleeve & it’s been pretty well known to all their friends & family that she’s always had a crush on her brother’s best friend.
Knowing Elle is off-limits being his best friend’s sister, he’s always looked after her but has always avoided his feelings. Now that she’s at the same university that they are, his protectiveness comes in full swing & it becomes impossible for him to avoid her. So what happens when one night at a party, she lays her feelings out on the line? Will he continue to push her away or finally give in to what he’s always wanted?
I always like the brother’s best friend trope but I seriously loved how possessive & protective Carson was over Elle. & when he finally gave into his feelings for her? Oh my… he was swoony 😍😩 I also loved that Elle always called him out on his sh*t, never backing down from how she felt or what she wanted/deserved.
I love that this series stays consistently good with each book. We get to revisit with characters from previous books and get to know more characters for books to come. But I must admit that I really enjoyed learning more about Carson and Elle as individuals and as a couple. The simple fact that they grew up together made it that much more special. Watching them admit their hidden truths gave me the warm fuzzies. 😉. (Of course there is a little turmoil along the way, but overall, I really enjoyed reading this book). Now I NEED to know more about Crosby and Asher......my curiosity has been peaked. Off to work now but can't wait to read more of this series. 😊
Elle Kendricks has crushed on her brother Brayden's best friend, Carson since childhood. What she doesn't know is that Carson has been crushing just as hard! At a party everything comes rushing out but Carson is worried about his friendship with Brayden and tries to put the breaks on. What happens when it's not longer possible to stay away from each other? Will they manage to keep it a secret? What happens when it's out in the open? This was a great read that had me wanting them to get their HEA. The chemistry was hot and their journey from friends to lovers was thrilling. Can't wait to read the next one!
No. Non succederà mai.

Elle and Carson were boring. For a big chunk of this book I was actually more invested in the possibility of something happening between Elle and her professor, but of course he turned out to be a creep.
Possiamo definirlo uno slow burn, almeno secondo me.
Was I bored? A little (near the end, not gonna lie), but I persevered and finished it. I typically love the brother’s best friend trope, but this was a little... much.
Let me just start by saying Brayden is weird... I get what the author was trying to do by giving Brayden and Elle a dead dad to explain his protective (controlling) nature, but it just came off weird. Like, no one in that college seemed to care about Elle’s sex life more than him... like, relax buddy.
And don’t get me started on Carson... at first, I found him a little cute (I love pathetic men in love that pine), but he was also weird. He was the only one to call Brayden out on his controlling behavior, but only when he had something to gain. It was so jarring. He told Brayden to stop controlling her life, but he spent the first half of the book breathing down her neck—example—demanding she stop studying with the professor despite struggling with her grades. Like pot, kettle, black.
Speaking of that professor... him assaulting her was so unnecessary. I know exactly what the author was trying to do—showcase that Elle can stand on her own and defend herself—but the scene did nothing but prove Carson’s suspicions right. This was annoying because Carson started acting weird about them just existing together, interrogating Elle irrationally after seeing them studying. Yes, the professor was a creep, but that never made Carson’s controlling behavior okay.
Also, Elle was so damn annoying. She didn’t stand up for herself at all, and it was embarrassing. The whole book is just Elle wanting to bang Carson and him being all like, “No, your brother will kill us.” There’s a specific scene where Carson asks, “Is there anything I can say or do to talk you out of this?” and Elle says no. Now, why would you still want to have sex with someone who’s begging you to talk him out of it? Girl, if you don’t stand the fuck up and stop embarrassing me.
Also, the way her virginity was discussed in this book was so strange... the whole premise was that she was saving herself for him because she’s always been so in love with him. This just pissed me off because it showed Elle had "self-restraint," but Carson didn’t, as he was sleeping with girl after girl despite also always being in love with her. I just rolled my eyes when he did his whole “it’s always been you” speech because clearly, it hasn’t. Carson was also so weird after discovering she was a virgin, like when he asked if she told her professor she was a virgin... like, what? Why would you even ask that?
Finally, we never find out how exactly Brayden found out they were both at that cabin...?

Elle is fearless, cute but very naive and has always had an admiration for Carson. She's a cute, nice girl who wants to be a theatre actress, is determined, works hard and has been in love with Carson, her brother's best friend, for as long as she can remember. Elle has a flirtatious, determined and courageous side that she didn't expect, but I really enjoyed reading it, and her struggle with statistics and her desire to improve in class felt so real.
Carson has a huge crush on her, but she's his best friend's little sister and he'll never cross that line. But when he drags her into his bedroom one night and she kisses him and assumes she saved her virginity to give it to him, things get more confusing, but he's always denied his feelings to her. To be honest, there were times when I wanted to go up to Carson and open his eyes.
They've known each other since childhood. He's always looked after her and that hasn't changed as they've grown up and are now at the same college. Having grown up together, both felt an attraction, both physical and emotional, from the start. However, neither of them could or wanted to do anything about it because of Brayden. Each of them had longed for the other for years, but knew nothing about how the other felt until one night, at a college party, things took a turn. They fought against their undeniable connection, but things eventually evolved into different territory.
Both Elle and Carson were so well developed, and their feelings were so well demonstrated, that you have to hope that these two will find a way to make things work, despite the obstacles they face. The connection between these two has so much gravity and I loved watching their journey, even when Carson frustrated me with his continual denial/suppression of his feelings. Elle is so sweet and likeable, and Carson is completely charming and protective of Elle (in a sweet way) that their characters simply made me fall in love with their relationship.
