The new moon in Newport brings high tides and high hopes...
Faith had never allowed herself to dream that she might be able to retire early, but with her pillow business taking off, she lets in an inkling of hope. But all that has to be put aside when disaster strikes, and the Newport Harbor House is in danger once again, requiring all hands on deck.
Catch up with Jen, Faith and Carrie--and their friends and family--in the fourth book in the Newport Beach Series.

I really like this series; the characters are relatable and the story is interesting. I've noticed with previous books that the proofreading and editing has been spotty, and in this one it's no different. There are "place-savers" that haven't been removed, and sentences where the author invokes the wrong name. It's fairly off-putting, because otherwise this book was very enjoyable.
Three life-long friends who are now empty nesters find challenges they never thought they would need to face. One is a widow, the other two have been long divorced.
Jen is the main character, widowed early with two sons to raise alone. Faith was divorced when her only daughter was a teenager and has been a kindergarten teacher who mortgaged her house to put Maggy through school. She wants to retire, but can't afford to. Carrie married a man with an infant daughter and raised her until daddy ran off with another woman and has been estranged from the only child she ever had.
These three characters have remained best friends and are each others' support system.
The problems each of them face are quite different, but they work together to solve them.
An amazingly well written and perfectly edited addition to the Newport Beach series by Cindy (Nichols) Caldwell. New moon is a testament to lifelong friendships, loyalty, and support in both good and trying times. A tribute to community involvement and helping those in need. Jess, Carrie and Faith become part of you family as you read and when the book is over you will miss them.
Who doesn't like a nice ocean side read? This series is nice, simple, easy, and quick. I truly enjoy the lifelong friendship among these three women. * There really aren't any technical issues or grammatical errors. The problem is it isn't the adrenalin rush I want in my reads. I have no doubt that my older sister or mother would love Newport Beach series far more than I did.
Newport New Moon, is a story about 3 ladies, Jen, Faith & Carrie, that have been best friends forever. Sharing memories, making new friends & how their lives have recently changed for the better. Newport Beach, is experiencing high winds & a new moon. Leaving people vulnerable that live on the beach. Look forward to the next book! I truly enjoyed reading it!!
Faith's pillows are the talk of the town, and with her crew by her side —including sweet Mrs. Russo, anything is possible. Not even a flood can slow her down. Book 4 keeps the series going strong and leaves you eager for more.
During these tempestuous political times it is nice to read a sweet and well written book. It’s a feel good story and a great way to spend time. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series.
