What if I’ve lost my sister forever?
Being with Nathan is a whole new experience, and I wanted to keep him all to myself. But Sasha has been there my whole life, and what if Nathan and I don’t make it? What then? Is he worth losing my heart over? Because however much it would break my heart not to be with him, it would kill me to lose my sister.
Doesn’t she deserve to be a part of my happiness, even if her own world is crumbling at the moment?
I’ve lost my mom already; I can’t lose my twin, my other half. Life wouldn’t be worth living without Sasha being my safe harbor.
Sasha left a note. It says she’s leaving me; I don’t know for how long. And it scares the shit out of me. I experience a moment of panic, my breath catching in my chest, and I’m unable to fill my lungs with air.
Why does that hurt so much?

After Sasha discovers that the secret man making Shay so happy is none other than Sasha’s ex-boyfriend, Nathan, they have a falling out. After spending time processing her feelings, Shay knows she has to reach out to her twin. Especially after talking with Nathan and learning how their relationship dissolved. Unfortunately, just as Shay gets her sister back, she loses her trust in a man she thought could show her the world.
This story is getting so intense! And the ending… I am desperately ready for the next installment of this series.
We get more time getting to know Sasha in this book, which I actually enjoyed that aspect. Sasha may be a mirror image of Shay, but their personalities are vastly different.
I love the person Shay is slowly becoming; despite the hard knocks, it takes forever for her to become strong. Shay is such a brilliant character, and I love her growth.
This book contained many deep twists and turns, and the story definitely took some turns I didn’t see coming. Zoe had created a brilliant universe with excellent characters.
This series is only getting better with each new book, and I am so ready for the next installment. Things are starting to get increasingly intense. I need to know what happened on the terrace!

Lies Book #3 (Shay Series a taboo age gap romance series) that is a character driven novella that is highly fervid and so much strain between the characters and their perspective relationships. The cliffhanger is just downright befuddled. Cannot wait for the next novella in the series.

Zoe Adams really took us for a wild ride with this series!
The tension between the twins, the tension between the lovers and then bam! Shocker the truth is revealed!
