i'm so confused. so far there's two theories i can come up with, which is very obvious: 1) sho is right about akira being some kind of alien who can time travel, or 2) it's akira's father who saved sho and his sister and he's just mistakenly took akira for him because they look similar
honestly it's been so predictable so far but i hope i'm wrong about my conjectures and the author gives and mind-blowing plot twist. i'm just here to enjoy the vibes and the art
Starting to get kinda into it! Mainly because of the dangerously hot guys, but I mean there's also like a story and mystery etc. ya'kno...
I wonder if the bit about aliens living on earth in the beginning of chapters is inspired by Yoshihiro Togashi's Level E (hilarious lil manga & anime, highly recommend). Has a similar vibe to me :D
This volume left me with both many questions but also the assurance that I'm in for an absolutely wicked ride 😍 This series is gonna make me cry, I can feel it...
To wszystko bez znaczenia. Według mnie to nie jest wystarczający powód, by cię narażać.”
,,Zaufaj mi. Tak jak ja ufam tobie.”
AAACH!
MY BEAUTIFUL SHO SURVIVED! REJOICE!!! AND AKIRA IS SAFE TOO ㅠㅠ<333
I am both in awe and sad to know about Sho’s actual ability. I want to cry and give Sho the warmest hug because he deserves better and then I will strangle Amamiya with my own two hands. I knew that Amamiya is probably the reason why Sho is such a talented agent, but
Akira finally got his own combat suit, and it’s so endearing that he requested his suit and weapon to be like his father’s. He seems pretty strong for someone new to this, and I’m really looking forward to him growing stronger with more missions.
But Sho’s deductions for how Akira had probably time-travelled–or will time-travel?–is making me so confused. It’s definitely going to be more complicated from on. I just hope nothing worse will come to these two :(
I am entirely unclear at this point what genre this actually is, but I am really loving it. It has some of the shounen fighting bits and 'I need to get strong to protect people' vibes that I was expecting, but it also has a really nice slow-burn friendship (or more?) between the two teenage boys, and some interesting mysteries around I'm really enjoying it and I hope I can find more volumes!
I really liked Sho and Akira’s relationship development in this volume. I’m excited to see more of their companionship in the upcoming volumes. We also got more bits of Sho’s backstory which was pretty good to know about! I’m also curious if he just can’t seem to understand that Akira is just the son of the man who saved him or if there’s really some kind of time loop/time reverse that we still don’t know about. Looking forward to the next volume!
WOWW okeyyy i had to read this volume asap after the previous one bcs I NEED TO KNOW WHAT WILL HAPPEN NEXT! and then they bring me theory about this time travel whatsoever like WDYM WE HAVE THIS KIND OF FANTASY THING HERE?? i thought we were just fighting aliens 😶 and im happy to know about Sho's past and ALSO WHAT'S WITH AKIRA'S COOL COMBAT TOOLS NOW?? He really looks like his dad, i'm happy for him too.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
This volume was… fine. It had its moments, a few flashy scenes here and there but nothing mind blowing. I will say, seeing Akira use the same weapon as his dad actually got me excited.
I honestly thought it was Akira’s dad who saved Sho and his sister, so the whole idea of Akira rewinding time is pretty bleak but I’m willing to roll with it for now and see where it goes. I can already feel the next volume maybe dipping a bit but who knows, maybe I’ll be surprised.
continuing on digital cause I’m too impatient to wait for the english paperback to release (in my defence, the cliffhanger from vol 2 wasn’t doing me any favours) but uh, moving on!! really enjoyed this one tbh, especially the development that went into Sho’s backstory as well as his and Akira’s growing dynamic/relationship. I love them a lot <3 anyways, ‘twas a joy and I shall be reading more!
im so confused. i feel like the mangaka clarifying that it couldn't have possibly been akira's father who saved sho and then going on to say that it may have been akira time travelling would have made for a much better story in terms of clarity and thrill. but then again, there may be a bigger plot twist that i do not know about so im going to hold on to hope!
So good, at a point I wanted to punch a certain good looking eyepatch dude, but I didn’t want to ruin my book😔. A lot of things are starting to come together and it made me so happy when puzzle pieces started fitting together😄
3.5/4 stars. The art is closer to 5 stars? But the syory/plot for this volume meandered a bit. There was a wrap-up of the previous storyline and the beginning of a new one. It felt like it was trying to figure out where it was going. The transition between the two plot threads was bumpy.
I've been enjoying reading this sci-fi/action manga series: it has brilliant illustrations and characters, intriguing world building and a complex storyline that keeps me intrigued. Definitely a fun series that I can recommend (be warned about some cliff-hanger endings, though!)
This one didn’t excite me as much as the first two, but I’m still very invested in the characters and excited to see more of them. I’m just wishing that the story would “wow” me at least once, and that hasn’t happened yet.
