You're in the pictures kid!
Just as a reminder The Ways of the Monster Nation is definitely Fanservice for this series is not afraid to show plenty of scenes with any number of the female monster girls (and the occasional human) in a variety of places that show off ample amounts of skin and/or tight forming clothes so if this bothers you be aware this series is not for you. Also as a reminder having been set pretty far along in the timeline of the original series you may see people or hear something that might be spoiler if you have not read much of the original so be warned. :)
Rimuru is ready to show his photographic "magic" to others and is producing large prints of those he chose to display in bigger than life style but he would like to get some additional models to further increase the peaceful bonds between nations so it is time for his three star photographer Framea to seek out and convince the hardest model target by talking to her boss (who is also the one that named her so we get to se a little more into her past too.)
Further adventures in this volume include the invention of a video recorder just in time for Milim and Frey to help create an ad to promote Tempest, a monster in Lake Sisu is causing trouble for the locals so the team is gonna catch it with the perfect lure, Rimuru has created a zoo wit some (relatively) tamed monsters from the forest of Jurai so people can get more used to them but his human guests are about to get an exciting test run first, and finally we see there is turmoil in Framea's home village forcing her father to come to Tempest to ask her to return (looks like we might get some more plot but will it mean less fanservice?)
After reading all of the chapters be sure to check out the extra chapter as Rimuru tries to explain Setsubun with disastrous results showing not all Japanese traditions should be brought into the world where he was reincarnated as a slime. :)

The shenanigans of cameras continues and then upgrades after Rimuru develops a video camera to create a promotional video for Tempest. Results are mixed. Then Framea encounters Jaws, goes to the zoo, and then her dad comes to find her... That actually might be some real conflict for this series.
We also meet Luminus in this volume, who doesn't appear in the original (manga) story until volume 17. So be aware that this series is full of spoilers for the main one.
