Now that Framea’s journey through the Dungeon is winding down, it’s time to count the loot and chronicle every last bit of her adventure. Or it would be if the hot springs weren’t calling her name—and she’s not one to ignore them! After a hard day of adventuring, an open-air bath is just what she and her companions need. With all these amazing attractions, the guidebook’s practically writing itself! They say a picture is worth a thousand words, yet words are all Framea has…Perhaps Demon Lord Rimuru and his new magic item can be of assistance?
Lustig! Ich mag die Stimmung darin und gerade gewinnt er mehr Spannung und geht weg vom Slice of Life.
Honestly if I were to review this book purely on fanservice (not one but two bath scenes) and the amusing character interactions then this book may have scored higher but so far short of That Time I Got Reincarnated (Again!) as a Workaholic Slime, Vol. 1 this has the been the weakest slime book in the series but at least it is in the same world as the original series (though again as mentioned below it is either set in the future or an alternate timeline so some readers will have no idea who some of these characters are or any references about them so that can be distracting too.)
Set in either a future or perhaps alternative timeline this story follows Framea as she is allowed unfettered access to all of Tempest so she can compile a guide of sorts to help with tourism. The only problem is Tempest is this new and interesting world she has never experienced before so (at least from what we see) everything is amazing with perfect 3 star reviews. I can't imagine her guide is like a review we see in a modern circular letting us see which establishments have the best services at a quick glance with that kind of of joyous lack of criticism for sure.
Another thing that kind of bugs me is even though Framea is the main character of the story I wonder if her unique skill is all she required to be so popular in Tempest after gaining Rimuru's attention in volume one. Whatever the reasons for her popularity I can't help but feel like there should be something else happening that requires Framea to become braver and stronger through her experiences with the creation of her book on Tempest. Of course this could always just be the creators of this book wanting to flesh out this world without having to go through any real crisis making this one of the more laid back books in the various incarnations. After all we even get an update on how the book is coming along in this volume and Rimuru even invents a new device to bring her book to life so to say. Curious what it is? I guess you'll have to read to find out. In the meantime unlike the corporate slime story which I did not really care for this one is cute enough to keep me curious as I make my way (eventually) onto volume 3. :)
It was cute, but the addition of Hinata really dragged it down. I hope Fuze kills her off or writes her out of the series sooner rather than later, rather than trying to make her Rimaru's love interest for some reason. Literally any other character would be better
This has been fun to read so far! Seeing character that haven't had much time in the main series has been good too! Although certain spoilers are being shown
Framea's tour of Rimuru continues as she hits the hot springs after an excursion in the dungeon. But, there's one thing her travel guide is missing: pictures. And between the wyverns and explosions, there's plenty of action. Although I don't understand why you have to pose when downing your post-bath milk (is that the optimum way of chugging liquid? If so I've been doing it wrong the whole time!)
It's a bit jarring for me to read this, seeing as I haven't finished the original series, but I'm enjoying this slice-of-life glimpse at our favorite characters. 3-Stars!
I've only watched the available shows online and Vol.2 definitely refers to plot points I haven't seen. It's not too much of a spoiler so I'm hopeful that I can read the other volumes without crisis.
Much more cute action and seemed to read faster than the 1st book.
