Frosting Her Cookie
Another cute read from the Kismet Cove Singles Week series. Conan and Lola meet before the events start and form a union that is originally intended to ensure they aren't alone but soon becomes sweet with a building heat.
I liked that they took some time. Even though it was insta-lust / love, they spent time getting to know each other before the burning tension exploded.

Well this was a great story. Insta love at a single week. 😍😍 Lola and Conan were kind of talked to a singles week by their friend/sister. They met at the reception desk and both fell head over heels. 😍😍 They found each other and nobody else interested them. A sweet,romantic , safe and cute story without drama and a sweet HEA😍😍😍

It's a really good short romance, cute in events, hot then sizzling in the relationship that we follow in the week of meeting Lola and Conan.
Maybe that's the problem with this story: a relationship that's a little too perfect, with no real chaos. However, it can also appeal to great romantics readers.

I'm pretty sure I just read every plus-sized girls dream scenario. A muscular dude, who you just met and is really kind/funny, likes your size/shape and is obsessed with you, falls in love quickly and wants to be happy with you forever while continuing to worship you? Yeah, I would sign the hell up for that. It was a short and sweet book, filled with pretty much only good things, and some smutty scenes to boot.
I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have gone to a singles event if my best friend who organized the entire thing bailed at the last minute, even if her reason is a good one. But good on to our FMC who goes anyway in the hopes of at least trying. The whole book was short, sweet and to the point. The fact that Conan and Lola find love with one another so quickly seems sus in real life, but it's great to read in a book!
I read this book as a palette cleanser in between heavier and longer books and I couldn't be happier with my choice! Definitely worth a read, whether you like this kind of thing in general or need a short reprieve from something else. Thick thighs save lives!

Half Baked by Megan Wade is the first book in the new multi-author Kismet Cove Single's Week series. If the other author's books are like this one then this is going to be a charming, funny, delicious and dirty naughty series...and I can't wait to read them. This story is about Lola Harrison and Conan Didner, who both travel to Kismet Cove to attend a singles week event run by the local hotel and the various businesses around town. Lola lives in a small town of Whisper Valley where she works as a graphic designer doing contract work. She loves Whisper Valley as everyone knows each other and the pace of life is quiet and laid back. She is happy to spend her nights with Netflix and her Snuggie, and her best friend Samantha. It was actually Samantha who had talked Lola into going to Whisper Cove for the single's week together. But then Samantha found herself the love of her life and backed out, leaving Lola going on her own. Lola has small hope of finding a man who will be her soul mate but instead is looking at the week as a chance to meet people and maybe practice her flirting skills. Conan lives in the city and works remotely as a systems analyst for James Tech. There may be a lot of people in the city but Conan does not really get out a lot to meet woman. It was his mother that suggested he come to the Whisper Cove single's week and he was thinking of it as more of a vacation away from home. What neither expected was to meet during check-in and make a pact to be each other's date for the various events during the week. They end up really hitting it off and before you know it they are having a lot of fun, getting to know each other and making a true heart and soul connection. But what happens at the end of the week? After all Conan lives in the city and Lola lives in the country? Will they decide to try a long distance relationship, will they go their separate ways....or will they be pulled so closely together that one is willing to give it all up and move? You will have to read to find out what happens during the week and whether they get their HEA. Oh who am I kidding as this is a romance so you know they are going to get their own HEA, but you will still have to read to find out exactly how.
This is a well written, charming and laugh out loud funny at times romance. Both Lola and Conan are lovable characters they start out with an attraction both physical and humorous and develop so much more over the week. I am very much looking forward to reading the other books in this series to see who finds their match during the single's week in Kismet Cove.

This book is set in the wonderful Kismet Cove, and is about Lola and Conan. Lola’s best friend Samantha had organised for them to stay at Hotel Serendipity for a singles’ week event. But Samantha pulled out at the last minute, having found her own real ‘Valentine’. So Lola decided to tough it out on her own, hoping for a bit of flirting practise at the very least.
Lola’s check-in experience proved to be both funny and embarrassing, but her week away had to start somewhere! The gorgeous blue-eyed guy who arrived at the same time made for some fun too! Conan suggested they partner up for some of the activities to remove the awkward part of seeking someone out. They make a deal and shake on being each other’s happily ever after for the week. What could happen during the week to have them reconsider?
This was a really fun, funny, sweet and steamy story! The characters were great and well-matched. I laughed so much with some of their interactions! The events at the singles’ week were a lot of fun too, and that poem Conan wrote and recited… wow and swoon and just wow! It was so sweet and hot and (literally) poetic, of course. I give this book four and a half serendipitous stars.

'Half Baked' by Megan Wade is the first book in the multi-author Kismet Cove Single's Week series and each story is a quick read with sexy alphas, fierce heroines and interesting situations. 'Half Baked' is about Lola, who is going on a girl's trip with her best friend to a single week event, and Conan, who is also attending the same event. At the last minute Lola's friend drops out of the girl's trip because she met a guy. Lola decides to go anyways since it's paid for and nonrefundable. At check-in she and Conan meet and start talking about the cringe worthy events that could be happening so they decided to team up and be partners instead of maybe getting stuck with some one they don't like.
Ms. Wade has written a great story to kick off the series. This story has great characters and a well written plot. The dialogue is witty, quick, and compelling. This story has charm, romance, real life issues, laughs, tension, and plenty of steam. I enjoyed this book and am recommending it to anyone who likes a feisty heroine willing to go after she wants. Looking forward to the next book.

It's a super cute love story. They go to a singles retreat and immediately like each other at the check out desk. They choose to couple up for the week to avoid any awkward interactions with other singles. Some of the terms used are just cringey and how fast they moved also made me cringe. It overall just felt highly unrealistic. I genuinely did like the story itself but it was very fast paced and just felt like it needed... more?
Now onto the author. I have read more than one of the books in this series and she seems to have a thing about virgin FMC's. I can't help but wonder if she herself is inexperienced because the intimate scenes are somewhat lacking. Its all just unrealistic.
If you're looking for something cute and very spicy, this isn't it. If you're okay with 93% implied spice and like 7% actual scenes I do suggest reading. It's definitely not a panty dropping hot story like I typically enjoy but it was still very good.

Megan Wade never disappoints, and her contribution to the multi-author Kimset Cove Single's Week series is no exception. Lola heads to Kismet Cove alone after her best friend backs out of their singles vacation (having found her own match). Lola figures if nothing else, maybe she will learn how to flirt a bit. However, before she even leaves the lobby of the hotel, she meets Conan - roped into the week by his sister and dreading it himself. Conan is instantly enamoured with the beautiful, curvy young woman, and soon knows he won't be looking at anyone else during the week of events. This is such a fun and entertaining story, well-written, sweet and positively steamy. Conan is swoon-worthy, and Lola so authentic and relatable. I absolutely loved it and cannot recommend it enough!

Conan proposes they spend the week together, liking where this is going Lola agrees. They go to some of the events and enjoy themselves, a few they leave early from and enjoy time with each other. Their first time together is sweet and hot, she’s a virgin and no mention of Conan’s past. He takes real good care of her. As the week comes to an end they decide they don’t want their relationship to end and Conan says he will move in with her. I loves yous and a sweet epilogue five years later with two kids and a third on the way. I liked that they were serious about each other from the beginning and that they waited a few days before having sex, he really wanted to get to know her.

Cute and short and fun with zero conflict and very little character development. If you asked me to describe our hero and heroine, all I could tell you is she’s a BBW and he’s a typical romance novel guy.
But see my highlights for the weird part. The author uses language typical of paranormal romance like “claim” and “mate” and it is off putting in a non-paranormal universe bc in paranormal romance, it means a supernatural bond is going to be formed to link the couple together. Here, it’s just weird.
He also says that she saved her “flower” for him so he’s going to make it special since she saved it for him. So, if you aren’t a virgin, then you don’t deserve to be treated special? Ok. I hear you. Sure sure.
Overall, I give it three stars because I read it to the end and I didn’t hate it. Despite its shortcomings, it delivers what it promises - a low drama and spicy romance.

I love Megan Wade´s writing style... she just knows how to carry you though a story with enough detail to pull you in and keep you entertained! This was such a great story with wonderful characters! Conan and Lola are couple goals! Both find themselves at a singles event where they didn´t really expect to find a match, let alone the love of their lives. Conan is so sweet, so patient, so charming... right from the start I loved his charm! Lola is simply wonderful... she´s funny, witty, and smart. Her dry humor had me chuckling a few times. Their chemistry is intense and sexy. It was a fun romance that was easy to read!

Lola and Conan
This is a cute read. I loved seeing Samantha's good buddy Lola in her own romance. This is a sweet romance with two people who are funny, and set up by loving friends and family to find someone. Conan's emotional journey is how to recognize and navigate love with Lola without screwing things up. Lola's emotional journey is how to believe that a man will adore her - curves and all. I would love to be at an event like this one - for real. It is hilarious! This book is equal parts humor and steam. The chemistry between Conan and Lola jumps off the page. The ending was extremely satisfying. I can't wait for future books in this series!

This story is hilarious. I loved it. Lola and Conan are so hot together. Lola's a curvy woman who loves her Snuggie and staying home drinking wine. But she has signed up for the Singles Week at Kismet Cove and she has to go. Conan also signed up for the single week at Kismet Cove and the minute he sees Lola he gets the feeling she's the one. So they decide instead of meeting and greeting all the others that they will be their dates for this week, making it easier on them and finding out if the chemistry they have could be for a lifetime together. This is such a fun book, has lots of great steamy parts but the conversations between Lola and Conan are well written witty and funny and just wonderful. Loved this book. Will definitely read the whole series.

Everything about this book is a feel good story. There is no drama, just love and happiness and joy! I really needed this book in my life right now, just because it leaves you feeling so happy when reading it and I really did enjoy the story, too! Conan and Lola are made for each other and I thoroughly enjoyed their happily ever after for a week, at least that is what they agree on when meeting for the first time.
If you are looking for a nice, easy, hot, feel good HEA read, then this is the book for you!!!

This is the story of Lola and Conan. They signed up for a singles week. Originally she was supposed to go with her friend but she found a man before the date of the reservation.Conan was there because of his sister that thought he was working too much. Once they met they felt attracted. They decided to spend the week together and avoid other people around. But during that time they fall crazy in love with each other. I loved they way the author created and develop the characters. Loved so much! Highly recommended.

Lola and Conan meet when checking in at the front desk. The attraction is instant. Conan is convinced that Lola is his future, but Lola is convinced Conan is too good to be true and there's no way he'd want a curvy girl like her. Can Conan convince her that she's the one? Lola is off on a singles week that her friend was supposed to go on, but now that her friend is happy in love she talks Lola into still going. Lola goes up to reception desk and after cracking a few jokes that the front desk did think were all that funny she sees a totally hot man laughing. Hes so sexy and they talk on the elevator. Conans sister talked him into going so here he is wishing he was someplace else till he sees the cute and funny Lola. They make a pack to make this week about them, their happy ever after week. Only it might just turn into a happily ever after. Great book.

First things first; I like the cover of this book!
Half baked is a novella in the ‘’kismet cove single’s week’’ collection. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Lola is in a small town for a singles retreat. When she meets a fellow attendee, sparks fly but will love blossom?
The chemistry between Lola and Conan is clear to see and I loved them together. They made a cute couple.
I liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.

Another knock out and amazing story by Megan Wade! Singles’ week at Kismet Cove is starting and this first story is sweet, silly, and steamy! Lola and Conan click the moment they meet while checking in at the Hotel Serendipity. With shared common ground, some sexy and fun flirty couples’ activities involving a food fight, the undeniable instant attraction is not as half baked as it first seems! Love this story so much!

After losing a debate with her roommate, Samantha, Lola is on on her way with her with Samantha for a week long stay Kismet Cove singles week. At the last minute Lola now is going alone since Sam is no long single. She arrives at the hotel and meets a gorgeous guy and while riding the elevator to theirs rooms Lola and Conan become acquainted and decided to pair off together for the week long stay, but the funny thing happens when two people are perfect together, even down to having allergies, they fall in love.

Two hopeful romantics hope for success at a singles get-away! Curvy Lola decides to go on the trip alone when her best friend (who should have accompanied her) finds her HEA. Conan has been persuaded to go on the same trip by his sister. I found it engaging when they click almost immediately. Particularly charming, is the self-doubt that assails Lola, as she can’t believe a hunk like Conan could possibly be interested in a larger girl like her. Will she succumb to his genuine charms and surrender to the possibilities of a future together? What do you think?!

All it took was one week!!! This is about Lola and Conan. They meet at the Kismet Cove Singles Week trip that they were both made to go, one by her best friend who was supposed to go with her and the other by his sister who claimed he needed to find someone. Fortunately, for them, they met at check-in and Conan found the one even though Lola thought he was too good for her being that she is a plus woman.
The story is short but wonderful as these two find their forever happiness!

This is the first story I've read from the "Singles' week at Kismet Cove. The story is cute, sweet, fun, and steamy. Lola is checking in for the Singles' Week and Conan is right behind her. They click right away and decide to spend the week together. They have so much fun together, try to participate in all the activities. Best one was the disqualification for the icing fight trying to ice cookies. Great short story. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

A lovely, heartwarming, short romance story. Lola never knew she wanted or needed a man until she met Conan. After being persuaded to go on a singles week away Lola is surprised to have made a connection right away. Being curvy, Lola isn’t sure what someone like Conan sees in her but he fills her full of confidence and soon a week isn’t long enough for them. A beautiful heartwarming romance story, we all need a Conan! Really enjoyable book.
