In this 8th installment of the Bluebird Bay series there was s a no holds barred feel to it. There has been a steady movement towards something since the first one and the pressure is still on it seems.
Finally, we are seeing Cee-Cee celebrating her future with Mick and it has been well worth the wait.
I thoroughly enjoyed the many cameos of past characters and their evolving strengths and growth and new relationships as we head towards a new book soon.
Fallyn the newest character introduced has been a rare find! Strong, tired and vulnerable, she has been beaten by the grind and harder grittier edges of life and is still trying to move forward. I absolutely appreciate the way Mrs. Gael takes life events, from the mundane to the extraordinary and creates a world worth reading. She encompasses everything, raw emotions of all kinds and let’s her characters have the feelings many of us try to avoid.
This book was an incredible read and I enjoyed every minute and word of it.

I love how Christine Gael manages to weave all the characters in a series into each of her stories. The latest book in the BlueBird Bay series, "Finding Refuge", had a twist about finding treasure and solving a twenty-five year's old murder. There is so much going on in each chapter that it is hard to put this story down, an old friendship renewed, a new baby, a couple of new loves, and a Wedding long overdue!! Reading each book is like a wonderful visit with old friends. I can't wait for the 9th book coming out in January, "Finding Comfort" and see if this murder involves one of the characters we know!!

Mystery and love: the perfect combo

From the heartbreak of a mother whose long-lost child’s remains were found, from a burnt-out journalist plunged in spite of herself into the horrors she was determined to flee, from an unlucky in love woman finding love where she least expected it, to a beautiful love story between a middle-aged couple finally coming to long-expected nuptials.

All the ingredients were there to make a perfect set of book cupcakes.

The perfect recipe

This is one of my favorite Bluebird Bay novels. I loved the newest leading character, Fallyn and her supporting cast. While Fallyn's role involved solving a sad, cold case, the family of Bluebird Bay characters were around and kept me never far from the warm hug I feel when visiting Bluebird Bay. The crime suspense coupled with loving friends and family was the perfect recipe for Finding Refuge, not unlike one of CeeCee's unusual cupcakes concoctions.

Another great story.

Another great story. This one was alittle harder to follow than the others. It was telling a couple stories at a time. It was a good story. The characters are know and great. The new additions were good. I definitely recommend if you like mystery, love, action, and adventure. I can not wait for the next book.

Another great book

I have read and loved all the Bluebird Bay Novels. This book is no exception. I love how there have been new characters introduced but we still follow the lives of the characters we know and love. This book has mystery and romance and maybe even wedding bells.

Totally loved this next installation of Bluebird Bay. The mystery of who murdered Emily was a great addition and new characters added depth. Looking forward to the next in the series as I'm still living along side of everyone. A great sign of a good book.

Great Read. As with all of the Bluebird Bay and Cherry Blossom Point books you get real life - the good, the bad, and the ugly. I'm really looking forward to Finding Comfort (January 31, 2022).
