The holidays are here, and this year, they're deadly . . .
It's my first Thanksgiving back in Moonshadow Bay, and everything is hunky-dory until the Witches Guild assigns me a research project for the upcoming Winter Solstice Festival. Not only do I melt down my computer, but I download a demon who ends up stuck in my house.
But Tarvish the Funtime demon is the least of my worries when my grandmother asks my BFF and me to go undercover. A magical pyramid scheme has moved into town and it's siphoning more than money off its recruits. Will we be able to take it down, or will the leader of the cult manage to silence us for good?

January is finding her place in Moon Shadow Bay. She loves her house, and her job, her wonderful friends and family and a loving boyfriend! Everything seems like it’s pretty settled for her. But, she is still learning how to connect with people outside her comfort zone, and then of course there is the demon! :-) This is definitely one of the more creative demons I’ve come across in urban fantasy. I won’t give anything away, but it’s delightful. That in itself should tell you something, since we don’t usually describe demons as delightful.
One of the excellent things about this book is that it works equally well if you have read the previous books in the series, or if this is your first introduction to this world. New readers will be able to enjoy the story as it unfolds, while those of us familiar with the series will recognize characters and ongoing storylines. I don’t often see readers’ needs balanced so well. I wonder what is going to happen to January and her crew next.
Oh, and the pyramid scheme? Well, you’ll just have to read it to find out, but, basically, pyramid schemes and magic don’t mix so well.
January's back and her plate is pretty full. In this fifth installment in the Moonshadow Bay series, we see her struggling to really cement her place in the magical community. So many people are asking for chunks of her time, and although she's ready and willing to be an active community member, she finds herself overwhelmed on more than a few occasions. I loved watching her come into her own, recognizing that her value isn't solely dependent on how much of herself she gives to others.
One of the most delightful parts of the plot has to do with a demon January unwittingly allows into her home. I don't want to give too much away, but I absolutely loved what the author decided to do with this particular character. Everything about him was original, and he added an extra layer to my overall enjoyment of this book. I'm hoping we'll see more of him as the series progresses.
As if a wayward demon isn't enough, January and Ari are tasked with investigating a magical pyramid scheme that has recently been reported to the magical authorities. I love a good undercover plot, and this one didn't disappoint me. There was a real sense of danger, but nothing about it was too over the top. The way magic was used felt utterly authentic, and I was on the edge of my seat as I waited for the resolution.
January's relationship with Killian really hits its stride here. We witness their deepening feelings for one another both in and out of the bedroom. The intimate scenes are sexy without feeling forced. Watching them explore all aspects of their relationship was a truly joyous experience.
Whenever I read a Moonshadow Bay book, I convince myself that the one I've just finished is the best in the series, but then, a new one is released and it almost instantly becomes my favorite. Shadow Web is no exception, and I can't wait to see what Ms. Galenorn has in store for January, Killian, and the rest of the gang.
I was given an Advance Reader Copy as a gift from author without obligation. I am providing an honest review.
This was an exciting addition to January's story. In this on January is assigned the task to take down a scam that not only costs people money but their lives. What I loved about this one is that we got to know more about Killian's sister and Killian himself. The relationship between our witchy character and the shifter is a dynamic we have seen before in books but in this we get to see the awkwardness of wanting to ask questions but not knowing how to approach it. I love how we get to see this relationship grow in each book. In this book the relationship took more centered stage than the mystery element, which honestly was nice. We got to learn more about the characters this way

Its Januarys first Thanksgiving back in Moonshadow bay and life is pretty good. Then the Witches guild gives her a research project for the Winter Solstice Festive. Things start going downhill pretty quick after that.
I loved this book. January is a relatable character for me. I love the way her and her family/friends deal with everything lol. I also really liked getting to know more about Rowan. Shes an interesting character lol i dont want to go into too much detail and maybe spoil something so im just going to say BUY THESE BOOKS! You really wont regret it. Yasmine is a master storyteller and weaves magic with her words. The places she writes about are just as much a character as the “people”.
Reads like a holiday filler episode. While this story started off very exciting, I found the book overall to be somewhat lackluster.. You know when you go to find a recipe but you have to read through the person's life story just to get to it? This was like that, but opposite. Most of the book was mundane day to day life events (mostly January preparing to host her first Thanksgiving). Im convinced that there is more cooking/ingredient/shopping talk than anything dealing with the actual plot of the book.. The actual story and plot seemed secondary to "A Day in the Life of January" which is a shame because Yasmine brought in some potentially exciting characters and plots that could have developed amazingly but were instead pushed to the wayside for January's privileged foray into the holidays. I'm still excited to read January's new adventures, I'm just hoping for something with a little more oomph in the next one.
I love this series! I have read all of Yasmine Galenorn's books but for some reason this series hits me differently. It just seems fresh and not in every other book you read. I won't give any details because I don't want to ruin the book or series for anyone else. If you're looking for a great series to start, please choose this one. You won't be disappointed!
I was given this book through Book Funnel to read for the ARC team and give my opinions freely and honestly.
In book 5 of the moonshadow bay series we find January dealing with a demon and a pyramid scheme and a surprise visitor from her past(who is it?) Though the pyramid scheme ends up being more then expected and with thanksgiving right around the corner will January be able to handle the demon, the one heading this scheme and her surprise visitor? or will it prove to be to much for her? If you wanna know pick up a copy of shadow web today. I was given an Advance Reader Copy as a gift from author without obligation. I am providing an honest review.
It’s Thanksgiving in Moonshadow Bay and January is hosting her first holiday dinner for friends and family. The Witch’s Guild has her working on a research project which has her with an unexpected houseguest in Tarvish the Funtime Demon who somehow downloaded into her house while doing the solstice research. On top of that, January’s grandmother, Rowan, asks her and Ari to go undercover to figure out a pyramid scheme that moved into the town and is doing more than taking money from its recruits. The danger heats up as January and Ari go undercover to figure things out there, but they have to keep their eyes wide open for if the leader of this scheme discovers their plan, danger will be more than they can handle. The holidays in Moonshadow Bay are heating up and it looks like its going to be an adventure in Moonshadow Bay.
Woot, SHADOW WEB delivers the holidays to Moondshadow Bay in a way that had me glued to the kindle as I flipped the pages. This time Yasmine Galenorn delivers two mysteries to solve though one is lighter than the other and easier to solve than the other. I enjoy this series so much. January is character I can relate to and its fun to see her interactions with everyone in her inner circle plus a few new characters pop in that had me wondering how they will go from here in the series. Plus, we got to know more about the town of Moonshadow Bay as well as Rowan., January’s grandmother as well. The writing is top notch as usual, and I was lost within this spectacular world Ms. Galenorn created. I got to admit, if Moonshadow Bay was real I would love to visit as it sounds awesome and friendly.
This time, January is hosting her first Thanksgiving dinner and man, I don’t envy her in the least. It’s a daunting task but January is up for it even as she finds herself tasked with other things by the Witch’s Guild and her grandmother. I loved how the author convey’ s January’s issues in a positive way with everything. From dealing with her ex-husband to the daunting task of hosting a holiday meal for friends and family. January is someone I could see being friends with as well as Ari and the rest of the gang. They are so lifelike and complex; you can’t help but enjoy them all. I do caution that even if you read this book first, its best to go from the beginning as you can see how January grows with each book in her powers, her life and more. It’s a lovely pleasure to read her journey into standing on her own two feet and I liked seeing her soar with each book as she gained confidence in herself. SHADOW WEB delivers the perfect Thanksgiving story to start your holiday reading off right and I am eager to see what happens next in Moonshadow Bay as well with January and the gang.

It’s Thanksgiving in Moonshadow Bay and January has a lot on her plate as she prepares to host her first huge family meal, but then strange things start to happen all around her. Yasmine Galenorn’s newest series, set in the beautiful pacific northwest takes us along on one woman’s journey through self-discovery as she escapes an emotionally abusive marriage of almost two decades and embarks on an all new life. I have really been enjoying reading this series and getting to know not just January and her family, but also her friends and the crazy characters that make up her world. Thanksgiving is fast approaching and January has plans to host the big family get together for all her newfound family and friends as well as a few strays she has collected over the past year in her life. But a few obstacles are being thrown in her path to a clam and restful vacation, including a strange demon summoned accidentally and an undercover assignment that could cost her life is she isn’t careful. The relationship between January and Killian, her sexy shifter boyfriend is also continuing to intensify as they both come to terms with what they want for their shared future and how they see that going. I really enjoyed this story, though not as much as previous ones in the series. There was just so much going on that it was hard to find a single thread to grab onto as the main plot which was a little much for my ADD brain. There seems to have been a lot of setting up of future plot lines and options for branching stories, but I did enjoy the story and look forward to reading more for sure. I will say that I prefer the more focused nature of previous stories where there was one overarching problem that January was focused on through the majority of the book. It just seemed to be so unfocused, jumping from issue to issue, even ones that seemed a little bit nonsensical to me, comparative to normal, though maybe that was a reflection of the way a lot of us are around the holidays to be honest. Here’s hoping that the next in the series returns to the typical format in coming stories to allow for a more focused plotline and a longer narrative for us to enjoy. Thanks for a cute holiday adventure Yasmine.
I thoroughly enjoyed this fifth book in this series. January Jaxson is a great character to read about and I love her relationships with her best friend Ari, her aunt, her grandmother, but most of all with her boyfriend Killian.
In this one, January is getting ready for Thanksgiving and while she should be relaxing and enjoying her holiday, she doesn't seem to get much down time at all. While carrying out some research for the Witches Guild, she inadvertently downloads a demon who cannot leave her house. What is she going to do with him? What can she actually do? I really liked Tarvish - he was a fun character and I hope we get to read more about him in future books!
And at the same time as getting all the decorations and foods prepared for her first time hosting Thanksgiving dinner, her grandmother Rowan wants January and Ari to go undercover to find out what is really going on with a witch led pyramid scheme, which does sound very fishy indeed! What they do find is a lot more worrying than the Coven initially believed was going on!
Now January has been on her own for the past year or so and seems to have finally gotten her ex-husband out of her life, I think she is ready to leave her past life completely behind her and move on to the next step in her new life. I can't wait to see how her relationship with Killian progresses now.
I received an ARC copy of this book from the author with no obligation to leave a review. This review is all my own honest one!
It’s Thanksgiving time in Moonshadow Bay and January Jackson, in what should be a wonderful vacation while hosting her first Thanksgiving upon returning home, she soon realizes what the hustle and bustle of the season is all about. When a research project comes from left field and leaves her without a computer, a strange demon manifests in her house and an undercover mission from her grandmother that has her on edge. With chaos rising and soon a house full of people, January has a lot to cross off that to-do list in Shadow Web.
I thoroughly enjoyed Shadow Web. January is really becoming one with herself. She is learning who she is and it’s very much starting to show. I felt a big sense of hearth and home throughout the story. She has finally I believe put her past life behind her and is really looking forward to things to come. She’s happy and it shows. January knows that family is not always blood and she sees that in the people around her. She’s willing to help get to the bottom of things and even puts her own self in danger to make things right. From Funtime Demons to putting her own self in danger January makes leaps and bounds with who she is and what she’s capable of doing. Yasmine Galenorn gives a true holiday feel with her unique style of paranormal with Shadow Web.
The author is cooking with fire now! The author has really brought the personalities of the characters to a new and might I add, wonderful, level in this book. Our main character, January, is a strong independent woman who has overcome an abusive marriage and is really getting her feet under her. The wit and humor that the author is bringing out in January's personality is making the character so much more realistic and enjoyable. She is a woman that many of us can relate to. She is a bit older (gasp, in her very early 40's), a curvy woman who has embraced her curves and is beginning to really love herself! Add in wonderful friends and family as well as a sexy wolf shifter boyfriend and you have a well-rounded cast that adds depth and fun to the story. The base story is a mystery, but mystery or mysteries are interwoven with the personal stories of the characters' lives. I can say the romance hit a spicier level in this book and I am here for it! If you like a good paranormal mystery and characters interlaced with some steam, then you have found the right book. I will say that you should read the series in order otherwise you'll be a bit lost in the characters' lives as each book has built upon the last. I also highly recommend the audiobook as the narrator does an outstanding job of bringing the characters and story lines more fully to life. I can't wait for the next book!

I have enjoyed this series so much, and this is the best yet.
January is hosting her first Thanksgiving dinner and that is a focus throughout the story. At the same time, she has been given some hefty duties to complete for the Witch's Guild as well as her grandmother Rowan. To top it off, she still has to deal with her ex husband. With all that going on, wouldn't you know that she finds her home inhabited by a demon.
So she has to figure out how to manage all of these things and still have a beautiful Thanksgiving time with her friends and juggle her interpersonal relationships with Ari, Killian and Killian's younger sister.
Yasmine Galenorn creates worlds that are magical. Her characters are relatable as they struggle with issues that many of us struggle with at times.
I was given an Advanced Reader Copy as a gift from the author without obligation, I am providing an honest review. All January wants to do is have a vacation and get Thanksgiving planned, prepped, cooked, and enjoyed. But as her time off for the holiday starts, so does the trouble. She first finds herself being caught up in the Witches Guild giving her an assignment that goes completely wrong, to downloading a Funtime demon. Everyone needs a Tarvish in my opinion. He's absolutely one of my favorite new characters. She also has to deal with Rowen, her grandmother, asking her to help out the Court Magika by looking into a MLM. And that's a whole can of worms no one was expecting. Kept me on the edge of my seat wanting to know what happens. Ms. Galenorn weaves a story so well you really feel like you're there.
Thanksgiving time finds January planning to host Thanksgiving dinner for friends and family. On top of that January has been tasked with researching rituals for the Witches guild. But somehow January ends up downloading a Funtime demon named Tarnish. The what and how January has to find out. If that wasn't enough January is sent in undercover to check out a magick oil business, to see if it's a paramid scheme. This is definitely a busy Thanksgiving for January. Read this book to find out how it all turns out. I enjoyed this book, though it is a little light on the action Fight scenes. But otherwise a great book. I love how the story is continuing and how January's life is evolving. What started from a horrible divorce ends up being quite the happy life and the author manages to make common life events special. Or at least that's how I feel because I can relate to what January goes through in this book - juggling a lot of activities and having friends&family as the most important aspect in one's life. The writing flowed nicely and the plot goes at a really satisfying pace, giving you time to breathe and still having lots of things happening. Overall, it's a great series and I will definitely be getting the next books!
This is the first adventure with January where we take some time to breathe. It's Thanksgiving and we're gonna spend some time with our loved ones. The only problem? It's a bit of a working vacation and our girl still has some troubles to get to the bottom of. All in all, however, this was the most relaxed of the 5 books so far. It was nice to see what happens when we're not focused on family secrets, uncovering our power, or evil exes. Just what her life is like now that she's done those things, and is no doubt gearing up for the next. It was a good read. And timely in it's release, with holiday season happening now. I feel like it was a nice little break, that I didn't know we needed for January.

I think this was the most action filled book of the series so far. There was never a dull moment. As with all of Yasmine Galenorn’s books, I couldn’t put this one down. Yasmine weaves a beautiful world I wish was real and never want to leave. I love that we got to learn more about Killian‘s family especially his sister. Getting to learn more of the backstory of the many characters is one of my favorite parts of Yasmine‘s books. I love that she doesn’t just tell you everything all at once. Yasmine gives you little pieces of their story in every book that enhance the plot of that story. I can’t wait for the next book!
I was given an Advance Reader Copy as a gift from author without obligation. I am providing an honest review. It's rare enough for me to find a writer who is consistent in their writing and have good series to read. Yasmine Galenorn is one of them and I will continue to fill my bookcase with her creations. Shadow Web is a different spin on the Thanksgiving holiday where January is drawn into the virtual world by downloading a demon into reality. But not what she, her family and friends were expecting. Each book opens up more of January's life and backstory and I am glad to be along for the ride!
January is finally doing things her way and that includes Thanksgiving with Killian and her friends and family. She's on vacation from Conjure Ink when the Witch's Guild calls on her and Ari to go on assignment. Will January have the Thanksgiving she wants only time will tell.
I love how Moonshadow Bay is like an onion. There are so many layers to pull back and that is including the characters who live in it. The depth of characters and of the town is so cool to read about. With every book it gets better and better.

This book is fantastic and starts off with a bang! I loved this book and found it difficult to put down. As all of Yasmine’s books do for me it pulled me in and wouldn’t let go. January is sent undercover to investigate a possible pyramid scheme among the witchblood. What discovers is chilling and not what anyone was expecting. Interspersed throughout is sexy fun times with Killian. I was pleasantly surprised to discover the addition of some light kink being added to their bedroom shenanigans. Not something I expected but I think it adds a new dimension to the relationship between January and Killian. Highly recommended read! I promise you won’t be able to put it down.

It’s Thanksgiving with January Jaxson That means mystery, magic and family. With a fun time demon and a magic oil’s pyramid scheme the holidays are never a dull time.
I greatly enjoyed this glimpse into January’s life there is always something new and exciting going on in her world. Yasmin creates a deep and colorful world and each of her stories it feels like you could walk the streets of Moon Shadow Bay with January. Shadow Web is no exception it pulls you in and keeps you on your toes until the end.
The book starts off interesting with January, Ari, Teran, and Meagan baking cookies for the Witches Guild Booth at the November Gale, when of all the people who could show up on her doorstep, her ex Ellison drunk off his rocker. After all that's handled, Jan has much to do for getting ready for the Thanksgiving she is hosting, all while handling a last minute research project the Witches Guild threw on her, Tarvish the Funtime demon, and an assignment through Rowan from the Court Magica to infiltrate Majikoil. You are sucked into the story needing to know what will happen next and the truth behind Court Magicas request.
We continue on with January, where she’s fitting into life in Moonshadow Bay. When a Funtime demon accidentally appears, January solve the mystery of his summoning. January is overwhelmed working for the witch council, getting ready for Thanksgiving, and going undercover for her grandmother to get the scoop on an illegal pyramid scheme. Her work quickly becomes more dangerous than anyone expected.

I really enjoy Yasmine Galenorn's story telling. She captures the scenery and the characters like you are living in the town with them. This series is amazing and I have been really enjoying it. It is Thanksgiving in Moonstone Bay and January is up to her eyeballs in commitments and getting ready for her first huge Thanksgiving celebration. Of course everything changes when she accidently downloads a Fun time Demon. I love the addition of Tarvish and of course all of our old friends that always reoccur throughout the story except Ellison... I cannot wait until the next book in this series! This is a great read that sucks you in and spits you out in time for the holiday!!
What a Thanksgiving! Poor January can't get a break even during the holidays. First there's a demon that was accidently summoned. Then there's a pyramid scheme she has to investigate. Last she's got a visitor to deal with. If you want to know how she deals with all this and still manages the holiday then get your copy and find out. I was given an Advance Reader Copy as a gift from the author. I'm providing an honest review.
This book is so full of surprises, and this, from start to finish, leaving me with a happy smile while I type this review.
I seriously love this series so much! Delving deeper into Rebecca the imp, meeting Tarvish, seeing characters I’ve grown to love dearly over the books (OK, from the start for most), all this in a Thanksgiving setting. It was, simply, perfect.
This was the fifth book in the Moonshadow Bay series. I enjoyed the book, and I really do love the characters. However, that being said, I thought this one was a little slow-going, and it took me a little while to get through it, although that may be because I have been bingeing on the series for the past few weeks. I plan on reading additional books in the series, and tie-ins. I am really happy I found the series and the author.
This book is a fantastic read that will grab you and keep you reading until you finish the last page. It moves along at a pace which makes for an enjoyable and relaxing read. The characters are so real that you feel like you know them and you cannot help but fall in love with them. This book is a must read that needs to be on your list of books to read, you will not be sorry that you did.
Shadow Web is Book 5 in the Moonshadow Bay Series by Yasmine Galenorn. I hope there's more to come! This is a great series. There's always something new and exciting going on in this town, and January Jaxon is right in the midst of it! This book is jam packed with so many things happening, it definitely keeps you turning the page!!❤❤❤
