Needing to save her cousin, Sigmund Greer, from a siren's deadly poison, Veronica 'Roni' Sykes, must go outside the law and track the creature to its lair in the city of Chicago.
Read the short story that kicks off the Cambion Rider Chronicle series.
Fannie resides in the Chicagoland area and enjoys creating stories that bring her hometown and other cities to life. Her favorite part of writing is the art of creating a vivid and visual world, populated by an entertaining, interesting, and flawed cast of characters with a real life feel. An avid Assassin's Creed fan girl, when she's not writing she spends her free time with family and friends, watching football and hockey, going to movies, reading, and playing the occasional adventure / RPG on her gaming console.
Fannie follows up the release of her debut novel, Dancing in Graveyards, with The Cambion Rider Chronicles. The series includes two short story preludes, Sirens, originally released in the anthology Shades of Horror and Strangeness and Demon Hunt. Along with two full length novels, After the Flesh, Book #1 of the series, and Book #2, Burn.
Words cannot describe how much I enjoyed this read. The characters are so well developed that you feel like you've known them forever. And this is such a different take on far and mythical beings. Makes me crave more stories like this. And I can't wait to read more of this series and by this author.
Black female police detective that has a mysterious connection to the supernatural. Because of this she is totally badass hunting criminals in a world where the paranormal are known. Vampires, Witches, and Fae Oh My!
This is an incredibly fast paced suspenseful and satisfying bad ass short story that serves as an introduction to the characters of the full-length series The Cambion Rider Chronicles.
It was giving Anita Blake and Hallows vibes. If you like supernatural murder mystery this one is for you!
