Why am I only now realising that wattpad books are on GoodReads??
Anyways I don't want to hear anything about it "being a wattpad book" stfu it's still reading.
Now let's get into it. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS FANFIC SO MUCH. This is the best Fred Weasley story I have ever read.
The spice is impeccable, the tension was absolutely breathtaking. I always have a hard time with Enemies to lovers just because it never really feels like a true enemies to lovers trope, but oh my days this book nailed this trope so well. The hatred that they had for each other in the beginning felt so real, you could feel the hatred through the screen it was just wow.
Lilith and Fred's love is really just something so special, and this is one of the few books that I've read where the love just felt so pure and real, it's incredible.
I wish I could thank the author of this masterpiece face to face just so I could tell them how much this book has actually changed my life 😭 Thank you for making my obsession with Fred Weasley even larger than it is.

i didn't like this at all. in fact, i didn't even finish this. i tried my best to push through, and that is why i stopped at chapter 60. i just couldn't stand the writing, and how often lilith and fred fucked. it was literally every other chapter. sometimes i felt like it was filly unprompted - it just popped out of nowhere. the way the two grew close didn't feel realistic, either. it was like they just magically agreed to suddenly have feelings for each other. this book didn't even have any plot of its own! it deviated from the Harry Potter books & movies only whenever there was something steamy between lilith & fred. it was awful, and i would not recommend this to anybody. i do not understand the hype at all. these people need to raise their standards or learn some grammar to differentiate between actual, acceptable, and grammatically correct writing and straight-up dog shit.

Wow, when the author said this was a slow burn they weren't kidding—
This is the first fanfiction that I've read where I actually finished it. Over 100+ chapters!! It took me a hot minute but I did it.
It always sucks finishing a book that you've been reading for so long but I'm glad I got the ending I wanted and what most people would want.
Such a good fanfiction. It will have your heart aching and your cheeks hurting from how badly you're smiling.

4⭐️, i normally never put any wattpad/ ao3 stories on my goodreads but this was 100+ chapters. This was amazing the smut was good and the characters where good. The biggest slowburn I’ve ever read and i read mariana zapata books. Loved it i will always be a harry potter fan<3

Empecé a leer esta fanfic porque todo el mundo la recomendaba: en los comentarios de wattpad, entre escritoras en la misma plataforma y tal. La empecé durante la cuarentena y no pasé del capítulo cuarenta (esto lo se puesto que después de ese capítulo deje de votar).
¿Por qué decidí darle una segunda oportunidad? Lo sé perfectamente y me arrepiento. Vi un TikTok de una chica que decía que recomendarán, en los comentarios, fanfics que fueran mejor que los libros y este fue un nombre destacable entre ellos. No sé cómo ni porqué. La verdad es que, no me he leído los libros de Harry Potter pero si esto está bien escrito y, según las otras reseña, bien desarrollado, no quiero saber que escribió J. K. Rowling porque... Uff...
ENEMIES TO LOVERS: ESPAÑA VS ARGENTINA FUE MÁS DURO.
¿Por dónde empezar? Bueno, tal vez con el hecho de que dice ser un "slowburn", esto, para mis amigos no bilingües, por si no lo habían adivinado, significa romance lento. Recuerden: ROMANCE LENTO. Bueno, esta fanfic no tiene ni lo uno ni lo otro. Pero antes de adentrarme en esto, me gustaría aclarar que también se le adjudica la etiqueta de "enemies to lovers", de nuevo, esto, para los que no sepan, significa de ENEMIGOS a AMANTES. Voy a proceder a copiar la definición de enemigo que nos da la RAE: "Alguien que muestra mala voluntad, enemistad o busca hacer daño a otra persona". Bastante claro está eso, creo. Vale, pues creo mal, ya que que eso la autora no lo entendió o algo. ¿Por qué? se preguntarán.
Bueno, esta enemistad entre Lilith Medea Arambella, la protagonista, y Fred Weasley, el interés amoroso, no dura más que un par de capítulos.
Además, dicha enemistad se asemeja más al acoso. Él, Fred Weasley, insulta continuamente a la protagonista y a la madre de esta (cuyo nombre es Circe Snape, lo que convierte a la protagonista en sobrina de Severus, y es una mortofaga recluida en Azkaban) y en como es igual que ella. La protagonista por su parte, como buena fanfic de 2021, simplemente lo insulta riéndose de su pelo y poco más. Todas estas disputas, como no podía ser de otra manera, se desarrollan en medio de los pasillos del instituto mientras todo el mundo puede verlos y siempre tienen sus caras a centímetro. Los amigos de ambos defienden a su respectivo compañero mientras observan la "tensión" que hay en el aire.
SLOWBURN: COMO HACER UN GUISO A FUEGO LENTO, NO UNA FANFIC.
Vale, una vez aclarado eso, explicaré, de manera breve y sencilla, porque NO es un romance lento. Tal vez por el hecho de que desde el capítulo 12-15 (aproximadamente) ya empiezan a querer darle al tema, entiéndase esto como follar. En el Yule Ball no paran de mirarse y en ese mismo capítulo Lilith, nuestra querida protagonista que es una Slytherin, se masturba pensando en Fred Weasley. ¿Y quién es ese? Según ella su mayor enemigo. Y, a lo largo de la historia nos dan a entender (al final se confirma) que Fred Weasley, quien fue pareja de Sienna Plums en el baile, mientras se besaba con la mencionada dijo el nombre de la protagonista. ¿Quién? Vamos, intenten adivinar, así es: su enemiga. Unos pocos capítulos pasan y tras un partido, antes del cual se intercambiaron por accidente las varitas, se acaban besando en el vestuario cuando Snape va a devolverle la varita a Weasley. Después de unos cuantos capítulos, en los cuales, entre los veinte primeros, más o menos, pasa un año y algo follan durante unas vacaciones. Y punto. No recuerdo cuáles, lo hacen en el cuarto de Fred Weasley, o el cuarto asignado porque no me acuerdo si fue en la madriguera o en Grimmauld Place.
Si todo esto fuera poco para eliminar las etiquetas que le han sido, erróneamente, asignadas a esta obra hecha por una fan, contiene smut. Es decir, contenido sexual y bastante explícito. Era totalmente consciente de que habría semejante contenido puesto que la autora lo advirtió desde la primera página de la obra, pero nunca pensé leer tanta, pero tantísima, de verdad, cantidad de contenido sexual —y eso que después de la tercera vez me cansé. En muchos capítulos y la gente continúa afirmando que es lento porque "no confiesan sus seguidores por el otro". Ok.
Este no es realmente el problema. No, no es solamente un contenido sexual explícito, sino que se produce en los momentos menos esperados. Pueden estar tranquilamente tumbados en el cuarto, echando la tarde y charlando tranquilamente, y empiezan con comentarios de índole sexual y terminan dándole al tema de nuevo. De verdad, NO PARABAN. Yo pensé, que ingenua que fui, que esto disminuiría ya que, no sé pero me suenan que están A PUNTO DE ENTRAR EN GUERRA. Pero no. No paró.
Asimismo, las personas que leen esto dan la etiqueta de "slowburn", opino yo, porque tardan hasta el capítulo 102 (no estoy exagerando, es LITERALMENTE en ese capítulo) en confesar sus sentimientos. Y pensaran que vale la pena, pues, personalmente, para MÍ no. Quiero decir, se confiesan en medio de la batalla. Y cuando digo en medio lo digo en serio. Estaban peleando contra mortofagos y en una de esas un hechizo casi le da a Lilith así que Fred la tiró al suelo con él y ella se enfadó alegando que porqué lo hacía y lo dijo. Finalmente, después de tantos capítulos lo dijo: Porque te amo. Honestamente, ok. Lilith le dijo que también y blah blah blah se besaron blah blah blah hasta que George les recordó, porque parece que se les había olvidado, que había gente muriendo a su alrededor y hay que estar alerta. Para finalizar en este apartado, me gustaría añadir que aún después de la batalla tenían ganas de estar follando. En el primer epílogo, narrado desde el punto de vista de Fred Weasley justo después de la Segunda Guerra Mágica (1998), no cuenta que él no sabía exactamente cuando empezó a gustarle Lilith. Y nos cuenta, gracias a todo lo divino, sin mucho detalle que se la cascaba, o sea se masturbaba, cada noche pensando en Lilith y en como quería quitarle esa actitud. Por segunda vez esto se gana un OK de mi parte. No me importa, no me interesa; por favor termina ya esta mierda.
BADDEST FMC: T/N REMASTERIZADA
Lilith Medea Arambella Snape, más tarde Lilith Lupin, es presentada como el estereotipo de "chica mala" o "poderosa". Lo que en aquellos tiempos, es decir; en 2019-2021 era una "baddie" o la ídola de las lectoras. Pues esta protagonista es eso, pero me atrevería a decir, un como más extremo.
Lilith es una chica cuyo padre la abandonó y su madre, quien acabó en Azkaban después de entregarse por completo a la causa de Lord Voldemort. Así que creció sola en la Mansión Arambella con sus elfos domésticos sin amor, básicamente. En Hogwarts conoce a Olivia Lovegood, quien se convierte en un importante pilar en su vida.
Pd: Se que solo es una fanfic no se ataquen pero me da coraje haber perdido tanto tiempo en esta basura. Mañana seguiré editando la review.

i read this book like probably around 2020 during the DracoTok era of tiktok except i had bounced to the Fred Weasley fanfics. and boy oh boy! i recently have skimmed back through this book bc i like don’t remember anything from this book (not to say it wasn’t really good - i just had read so many harry potter fanfics during that time it would surpass anything you can imagine) and i rediscovered how good this book was.
i mean like it was everything i was looking for in a fanfic back then - sneaking around, enemies to lovers, slytherin x griffindor, quidditch rivalry, etc etc.
firstly, this book is what im talking about when BookTok claims that icebreaker has so much smut in it that it’s too much and i say that icebreaker has nothing on wattpad books. bc istg these mfers fucked every other chapter. like 40% of this book is smut. and it’s 100 chapters. like chapter after chapter and i was like MORE?? but dw it doesn’t take away from the emotional development of the character’s relationship. and also dw it’s like never vanilla, these characters always got something kinky to pull up their sleeve. but still, this book is literally a primary reason why books that people say had too much smut in it seem minimal to me 😭 LMAO
ok i’m still not entirely done with it rn, but just wanted to come on here (no pun intended) and put any of y’all horny motherfuckers on this ‼️
also this book just brought back so much nostalgia of my harry potter fanfic era and how i rampaged probably hundreds of fanfics where i lowkey ran out and had to resort to regular books (and just never went back 😪) LOL

Oh lord what I would give for a really good Fred Weasley fanfic.
It seems everyone on every platform heralds this and Golden Boy as the best of the best. And yet... it falls super flat for me.
I think I actually tried to read it several years ago when it first started on Wattpad and couldn't finish it then. For me, it was the writing moreso than the plot itself. It was super under developed and amateur. Like, I was transported to the 2014 fanfic era of sneaking the most hellaciously written things in math class and not giving a damn about how good the writing was.
I definitely want to try and revisit later to see if I can push through, and I will say I'm going to read slytherinwitxh's sequel to this book since it was written much more recently. Fingers crossed! My rating stands as such:
1 star- DNF'd
2 star- read through but didn't enjoy a minute of it
3 star- enjoyed reading, may re-read
4 star- fell out of my seat, definitely re-read
5 star- a spectacular work that wrecked my very being and for that fact, may never want to touch again

me encanto al principio pero dsps el libro se m ha hecho INSUFRIBLE, menos mal que los caps son cortos y m he obligado a acabarlo💀el final esta bien pero esque no he leido tanto smut en mi vida (y no dl que querais leer hacedme caso). Btw los personajes estan fatal hechos tambien y su relacion consiste en: follar y ya.

I loved this book a lot! I usually don’t put these on goodreads but this was pretty long so why not? This was a really great slowburn and I thought it was written very good! I never thought I would say something like this but I just thought they’re was a lot of smut and I really enjoy smut but this was very much and I would’ve liked if there was more story. There was still enough story in it and I don’t want to make people think there was no story but it was just a lot of smut and also long smut and sometimes it got too much but otherwise I loved this book and would totally recommend it’s amazing!

it could be really amazing but there is too much smut?! Like every two chapters we have a full description of them having fun during the WHOLE chapter.
But the story and the characters were good and i actually really liked it. And Fred and Lilith were really cute.
ALSO the slow burn is not slow burning.
They forget their hate for each other quickly enough, but it was categorized slow burn because they confessed their love for each other a loooong time after the beginning of their « friendship ».
And REMUS, i love him so much, with sirius and tonks 💆🏻♀️✋
So I give it a 2,75 or 3/5
But the story and the characters were good and i actually really liked it. And Fred and Lilith were really cute.

Todas las nenas que dedican su tiempo a leer fanfics de Draco y los Marauders no saben lo que se pierden... Los gemelos Weasley siempre serán superiores!!! Especialmente Fred... Wicked Hate es una fanfic divertida y disfrutona, perfecta para cuando no quieres escuchar a las voces de tu cabeza a las 3 AM! Me la he releído varias veces y siempre me río un montón. También le he dicho a Isabel que se la lea mil veces pero nunca me hace caso.

I adore Fred Weasley and heard about this fic on tiktok. The story overall isn’t bad, it’s a decent enemies to lovers plot, but the writing is terrible and at times, unreadable. However, with some good editing I think it could be vastly improved.
