Leave it to the clever team of animals in this book to educate all of us readers concerning robots.

I find the combo of practical details plus rhyming text... to be adorable. For example, regarding a little robot dog:

It's meant for you to play with.
So teach this dog a game.
A robot dog can even learn
to answer to its name.

Such a delightful survey from author Tony Mitton, with detailed-yet-friendly illustrations by Ant Parker.

FIVE ENTHUSIASTIC STARS for this excellent book!

This picture book shows what things we build robots for to do work humans don't or can't do themselves. From the Amazing Machines series by Kingfisher books.

This was a fun intro to real robots that already do some pretty nifty things. Unfortunately, the book didn't make it clear which section of the book was about fictional robots and which was about real robots.
