Peter Porker, the Spectacular Spider-Ham hits the PIG time... in Hollywood! Legendary director Alfred Peacock has acquired the rights to bring Spider-Ham’s spectacular story to the silver screen. There’s only one, itsy-bitsy Spider-Ham didn’t sell those rights, and Peacock is getting the origin all wrong―making our hero out to be a monstrous menace! Once he catches wind of the perilous production, Peter Porker uses his Daily Beagle connections to secure on-set credentials, where he not so subtly tries to improve the film’s depiction of his alter ego and fix all the “continuity errors” in the movie. Behind the scenes, Porker soon discovers that some very shady characters are bankrolling the entire operation, in a bid to convince the residents of New Yolk City that their porcine protector is a threat who must be eliminated. Now, Spider-Ham must face down an army of ninja production assistants and some truly shoddy CGI to prevent this box-office bomb from blowing up his reputation! Will everyone's favorite pig clear his name? Or is this porky protector headed for the cutting room floor?
As the sun began to set and drowsiness crept in, my boys and I snuggled together for our nightly before bed ritual - reading. Their love for comics and anything superhero-related was evident as their eyes lit up at the sight of Spider-Ham on the cover. The vibrant colors and action-packed illustrations drew them in instantly. With each turn of the page, they giggled and gasped at the clever renaming of classic Superman characters into animal counterparts. The constant flow of puns had us all bursting into fits of laughter. It was a delightful evening filled with lighthearted entertainment and family bonding.

This was a before bed read with my boys. They love comics and anything superhero related. Spider-Ham is always fun. It's great to see the creativity with renaming classic superman characters into animal related names. Not to mention all the puns. Great fun.
Spider-Ham's girlfriend, Mary Jane Waterbuffalo, has landed a spot in a movie about Spider-Ham. He decides to tag along just to make sure they are representing his glorious escapades correctly, and he is horrified to find that they are making him out to be the villain! Who is behind this movie, and why are they making him look bad?
A humorous bit of sleuthing and superheroing with Spider-Ham. I like how they've reimagined several of Spider-Man's classic nemeses as animals for Spider-Ham's world. The tone of this keeps things lighthearted and never feels too serious. A fun superhero adventure in Hollywood.
Notes on content: No language issues. No sexual content. There's a battle, but no one is hurt really and it is over pretty quick.
Mary Jane Water Buffalo, Spider-Ham's sweetheart, is off to Hollywood to star in Alfred Peacock's film on Spider-Ham himself. Spider-Ham isn't one to sit back, and he's pretty sure this film is not as authorized as it claims to be, so he goes with Mary Jane Buffalo to the set. Will the filming go on?
There were so many wordplays here that I chuckled a few times. I'm not sure if our international school students will catch them all, but our Spiderman/Marvel fans will enjoy this graphic novel.
Spider Ham is finally getting his very own movie directed by Alfred Peacock and starring Mary Jane Waterbuffalo! But something seems amiss when Spider Ham himself isn't allowed on set...
At this point I'm just reading every Spider Ham comic the Central Library Consortium owns and loving every second of it.
A hilarious hit with clever puns (Monica Ramboa, Brad Pitbull :D) like #1 in the series.
Spider-Ham was on point with his quips and action moves. I don't understand why Mary Jane is a hefty, unattractive water buffalo. I don't understand the reference. Other than that I enjoyed the book.
If you love puns and Spider-Man, then you’ll love Spider-Ham! Full of laughs, Spidey senses and foiling the bad guys! Bet this will be popular in my classroom this year
I thought this was a fun children's book featuring one of my favorite goofy characters. Spider-Ham follows Mary-Jane Waterbuffalo to LA when she picks up a role on a movie about Spider-Ham. There he finds the costumes and film appear amateurish among other things.
