"I have to have you. I have to have you, now,” he growled into my ear. “Then take me,” I said.
Brooke: It had been a foolish, fun, and exciting night of passion. I never expected to hear from him again, but I do. Too bad, he is the son of my new stepmother. A woman I despise. I shouldn’t want him, I shouldn’t desire him. But I do and I will do whatever I can to be with him.
Tristan: It wasn’t supposed to be this way. I never thought I would meet the perfect woman Only to have her walk right out of my life. Brooke and I have a lot to work out, but I am willing to find a solution. Because having her in my arms once, was never enough. It will never be enough until she is mine, forever.
Boner is a stepbrother one-night stand romance with plenty of heat with a guaranteed HEA and no cliffhangers.
Ashley Sands likes to read and write about taboo stories full of romance and hot sex scenes. She enjoys telling stories of strong women and the men who aren’t afraid to support them and love them. When she isn’t writing, she likes to spend time exploring the out of doors with her rescue dog, Abby or enjoying a nice glass of wine. She currently lives in Southern California where she is working on her latest taboo romantic story.
The addition starts with the book cover….yeah…yeah…yeah don’t judge a book by its cover they say ….well we all do it and this one here it is the scratch to your itch or better yet the filling to your oreos! Within the first chapters you get the panoramic view of whom you’re dealing with! This is book is part of the Engorged series why just read one when you can start at the beginning and keep reading through the series it won’t be a waste of time. Brooke wanted to return to the dating scene, so she created a dating profile and was matched immediately with someone. Tristan sexy as all get out guy looking to connect after breaking up with his fiancée, chatting with a woman through the dating app. Hitting off so well, and deciding to meet up in person. They meet for drinks, hitting getting along great, have amazing time, the chemistry in insanely intense and the magnetic pull can’t be ignored giving in they have an amazing night then going their separate ways. Only for fate to pull them back in not such a good way her dad is marrying his mom making them stepsister /stepbrother the strong connection and magnetic pull is stronger, but she doesn’t like her stepmother very much, and the feelings of them being family is a little undoing but will they be together she is his perfect women, and he is her perfect man. It doesn’t negate the fact that they are family now, will they forge their own path despite their parents marrying, will it cause ripples in the family and will they get their chance for happiness?
This is the second book in the Engorged series. This is the story of Tristan and Brooke. Both Tristan and Brooke just recently got out of long-term relationships and decided to get back out in the dating world. Hey connected on a dating app and instantly hit it off when they met for a date. Neither one of them was looking for anything permanent when they started off, but when the sparks are there, you’ll just about do anything to keep the relationship going – including lying to your parents!
This was a cute story, however, I think the women in this story all acted like spoiled children. Brooke had an episode in the beginning when she was introduced by her dad to Tristan’s mom as his fiancé Brooke was not happy as her dad was still married to her mom (or was she?) Tristan’s mom forbade him (he is an adult!) from ever seeing Brooke again and when Brooke’s mom found out her “husband” was engaged, she forbade Brooke from seeing her dad. Again, she is an adult! Brooke was never told the truth growing up, so I can understand her being hurt and believing her dad left her. The moms though – they know better and need to grow up!
Half-truths, sneaking around, chemistry, drama, understanding and family can be found in this short story and will keep your interests. I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
'Boner' by Ashley Sands is the second book in her Engorged series and stars Brooke and Tristan who meet on a dating app and after texting then talking on the phone decide to meet IRL. When they meet they hit it off and connect over their mutual bad break ups. The date went so well they ended up having a passionate night at Brooke's place. Tristan had to leave early the next morning but left Brooke a note telling her that he would contact her. However, the next time she saw him was when her father was introducing her to his new fiancé, Savannah, and her sons, Tom and Tristan. The same Tristan that she had spent the night with. Could this get any worse?
Ms. Sands has written a stellar addition to her series. Although this book is part of a series it may be read as a standalone. This story is well written with great characters, compelling dialogue, and an interesting plot. The interactions between Brooke and Tristan are hot and funny. The story has drama, laughs, trust issues, family issues, misunderstandings, and plenty of passion. I enjoyed this book and recommend it to anyone satisfying read with their glass of wine. Looking forward to the next book.

This is the second book in the Engorged Series and for me it read like a Lifetime movie, which can be a little much. The great news is this book, as well the first book in this series are available to read for FREE with your KU subscription. Brooke and Tristan just got out of long term relationships and were getting back in the dating game. Both went to an online dating site, found each other, emailed, chatted online, and had along phone conversation. They decided to meet for drinks, and although neither intended to jump into something fast, they ended the evening in bed. The next time they met, was a nightmare. This was what I found too Lifetime for me. A little too much drama, too much family drama, a little too much, too much. But if you are into that stuff, read this book. It's fast paced and not too bad.

Tristan's breakup was inevitable. The two of them just didn't click. He decided to join online dating sites. He didn't think he'd find "the one" so fast. She was everything he wanted in a girlfriend. Tristan knew he had to get to know her better. He didn't have any idea it would all blow up in his face. Humorous with a huge surprise, this book moves fast. The characters are so easy to engage with. I loved how fast their relationship was moving but not the wall they crashed into. Ms. Sands writes of the good and bad about dating someone you meet online. She puts this surprise right where it needed to be. I cringed and I laughed as this couple tries to make things work. I had a similar situation but it didn't turn out well. Get this book for the snuggling and reading time before bed.
I found no issues.
I gave this one 4 cheers out of 5 because there are so many other surprises you could have used. The author provided a copy of the book but I chose to review it.
This was an OK read for me. So many high emotions in this romance. It started out pretty tame...nice first date and even hotter end of first date. But all the drama started when the two MCs find out about their parents engagement. Brooke freaking out...A nice communication scene ensued between the MCs and things were getting back on track...then Tristan's mom and Brooke's mom going cray cray...Brooke and Tristan hung in there and it turned out alright(entirely too much drama). I'm glad it didn't drag on as much with Tristan's mother and Brooke's mother. Both women were a bit crazy but I guess I get it...kids are involved and you get protective...but all in all It was OK but would have been better ...more enjoyable without their intense personalities.

I really liked this story. It was entertaining and enjoyable with a couple of exceptions. The characters were interesting and likable for the most part. Brooke and Tristan met online and hit it off so they decided to meet in person. Their in person meeting was even better than the online one. Unfortunately, they soon discovered that they were connected in a way that neither of them saw coming. Tristan was amazing! He definitely put a lot of effort toward the things that mattered to him. I loved how he pursued Brooke even when he was upset. There was some drama and angst but I liked how it was resolved. I liked how the story ended but I would have liked an epilogue further out. I recommend reading this book.

About this book: Brooke wanted to return to the dating scene. She made an online profile and ended up talking to a guy named Tristan. They meet for drinks and have amazing chemistry and a strong connection. As the book progresses, there are many things that come into play. Will Brooke and Tristan make it?
I do recommend this book. It was in need of a strong run through. Grammer, spelling and punctuation are needed to make this a four star read. I did like these two characters, the author tells their story incredibly well. Support characters are also great. There is enough angst, and wondering what will happen. I liked the plot of this book as well.

I loved this book. Brooke is like a lot of women, getting back into the scene after being dumped by her ex. . Secondary characters, like her friend April provide great color and texture to the story. Tristan in a similar fashion, is wary after being cheated on by ex fiancee. I liked the realistic emotional twists with Brooke's father, Tristan's mother, and Brooke's mother. Would Tristan and Brooke be able to navigate to a happily ever after in spite of the turmoil caused by family members? The journey is an interesting one. The title is a bit misleading as the book is far deeper than the one-word title implies. The ending was slightly abrupt as well.

Tristan is a few months out of a broken engagement when meets Brooke also a few months out a relationship. They hit it off on their first date and end up spending the night together. To each their surprise at a dinner that their parents are getting married. There is some drama surrounding the parents engagement. Tristan's mother and Savanah's mother really tried to control them in a way I think was immature. Tristan stands up to his mother that won me over. It was a good short read and the chemistry was hot.

Ashley Sands is a new author and I am so glad I discovered her. Boner was a steamy and forbidden romance between Brooke and Tristan. The name alone grabbed my attention but the more I read the more invested I became in the story. What was supposed to be a casual date turned into more than either anticipated. The chemistry between Tristan and Brooke was immediate and off the charts hot. But as strong as their connection, what happens when they learn her dad is about to marry his mom? Definitely recommend! Looking forward to more.
Ashley Sands is the queen of the stepbrother romances. I love reading her books. Brooke and Tristan meet in an unusual circumstance that makes for some awkwardness with their families. The amount of drama in this book is just the right amount to be perfect and not overwhelming or over the top. This book is really well put together and there are some really hot and steamy scenes. Brooke and Tristan are made for each other and how they get to their happily ever after is an amazing read.

I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I enjoyed this quick story about Tristan and Brooke. But just recently got out of long term relationships, that ended badly.. They meet on a dating app and agree to meet. They hit it off spectacularly. Only hitting a huge snag when she meets her dad for dinner with his new fiancee and her family.. Image her surprise when Tristan turns out to be her son. But he fights for what he feels is right. Great beginning of a HEA for the entire family.

This author was new to me and I wish I liked it more.
The book began okay, but with the word and punctuation errors, it was not a smooth read. The sentence structure was basic and I felt drawn out to make more bulk in the chapter. The concept is okay.
A better editing job and more concise paragraphs would have made this story easier to enjoy.
Not the worst, but not the best.

A fun entertaining story, Brooke and Tristan meet through a dating app and the two of them hit it off right away. Unfortunately, there are some obstacles on the way. Emotions run high, but luckily everything will be fine. Just a nice uncomplicated romantic story, smoothly written, easy read 4.5 stars

It's too bad about this crude title. Boner is really a sweet, HOT read! Tristan and Brooke are so attracted to each other. They can't keep their hands off each other! Then they find out his mother is going to marry her father! It causes all sorts if problems and bad reactions. Very entertaining. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
This definitely reads like a soap opera. High drama amongst family and crossed lines that will leave many jumping to conclusions and making assumptions. Glad towards the end all matters do get cleared and feelings aren’t as hurt, but opening up their hearts and minds to give people a chance.

Tristan and Brooke met through a dating app and needed to traverse the rocky road of future step-parents and mom-in-law. A short read from Ashley Sands and a good break from angst filled romances. I received a copy and this is my honest review.
This is an amazing book. Tristan goes on his first date since dumping his fiancee not knowing that Brooke the woman he was meeting was to become his stepsister, Brooke wanted to try and make a go at dating again after her break up but can she get pass him becoming her step brother?
I really liked this story. Brooke and Tristan are perfect for each other and I enjoyed following their journey and family drama! The only downside for me is that the sentences didn't always feel complete.
I loved this book, it was angsty, sexy and an easy read. I liked that it was not over written much more like real love story with all the problems that family can cause. More please 😘💖
I absolutely loved the first person point of view of the story. This is always a huge deal breaker for me. I couldn't put this book down, I read it in one sitting. Amazing.

Tristan and Brooke have a passionate night together. She doesn't expect to see him again, but is stunned to find out that he is her new stepbrother. Tristan is determined to have Brooke and will need to push past her defenses. Their chemistry sizzles out of control and they can't keep their hands off of each other. I thought this book was pure entertainment and thought that Tristan and Brooke were so good together!
