Each one of these stories were engaging and awesome. I've gotten kind of picky about the sci-fi, and shifter stories but each of these ladies that have a story in this anthology are ones I already love and will read, no matter what they write. From Pepper North's A Polar Second Chance to Delta James Sabretooth, each of the stories were so good and hooked me from the start. A wonderful anthology that I will have no problems reading time and time again! Well done ladies!!

1. A POLAR SECOND CHANCE by PEPPER NORTH
Clan Thorbin, polar bears, was located above the Night Wing Eyrie, gryphons and they had participated in the bride auction, where the gryphons had not. They were lucky enough to have a total of five Earth brides. If you read the first book in this series, then you know Marisol is mated to the Chief. That mate claiming will be challenged with the assertion being made he had abused his power. Once it was determined Marisol and Turi were true mates, it was acknowledged that the women needed to pick the mate that was right for them rather than suffer through a mating that would not benefit the clan. That's when Nale, along with three others males with Earth women, decided to bring Ruth to the council meeting and allow her to find her happiness. At thirty-nine, Ruth thought she was too old for Feir, but Fate had other plans. It's a wonderful DD/lg story with polar bear shifters. As much as I enjoyed this one, you know I want to learn Nale's story and hope he's given his happiness as well.
2. DADDY'S NAUGHTY MATE by ALLYSA HART
If you read 'Daddy's Stowaway' by Allysa Hart in the "Marked Brides" anthology, then you know that Callie was a stowaway aboard the craft bringing Earth women to Terra Arcus. She'd officially been denied the opportunity to participate so she immediately seized the chance to swap places with a woman who changed her mind. Ms. Hart has given us the continuation of Rego and Callie's story with Rego's past catching up to him and Callie's never-ending curiosity continuing to get her into trouble. There's betrayal, lies, subterfuge, murder, along with the most important discovery of all, and it's made by Callie.
3. BLACKWELL'S PRICE by MAREN SMITH
Just wow!! Maren Smith brings us 'Blackwell'. He's the man who holds the auctions and keeps the clans from attacking each other and the stage. He's also the last of his kind, a black jaguar with white stripes and blue eyes. Part of Blackwell's contract for his services is to be paid with one of the women from the auction and he's tired of waiting. He confronts the Benefactor and Council demanding he receives payment from the next shipment. Cyan had signed the contract and agreed to become a bride but somewhere along the way, she had the feeling she had made yet another mistake in her life. What a compelling story Ms. Smith has given us. I want to know more about what happened with the council members!!!
4. MARKED BY THE GRYPHONS by GOLDEN ANGEL
Did I somehow tell Golden Angel that Gryphons were one of my all-time mythical beings and not remember? Just look at the picture I use!! Zex, oldest and Alpha of the Night Wing Eyrie, Hadist, and Dion were brothers and gryphon shifters. While flying, when Dion sees an unguarded female running from either something or someone, he decides he's going to take her and present her to his brothers as their mate since their Eyrie was not participating in the bride auctions. Zex gave a resounding NO and it was decided, after finding out Ruth was mated and pregnant, that she would be returned. Upon doing so, Feir, her mate, was a seer and immediately had a vision explaining the brothers needed to go to the next bride auction and find the woman who had a feather marking on her hip. Was it Fate? Eve was the daughter of parents who owned a successful business, had position, power, and money but lacked a loving relationship between parent and child. She was planning to destroy her parents' status and take over they wanted her to sign up for the bride auctions in Terra Arcus in order to make contacts and hopefully come back with technology no one else had. Did I mention none of the brides that had previously gone had come back to earth? This is a quick, easy, sexy tale that only Golden Angel can tell. Life lessons were taught and learned, domestic discipline is of course an option, making this a delightful tale I didn't want to put down. I'm so glad this author was a contributor to this year's anthology!!
5. SABRETOOTH by DELTA JAMES
Tegan Mason is a journalist who has started to question what the government is telling them concerning the Terra Arcus project. She's asked numerous friends and relatives if they'd heard from the young women who had left. Some claimed they had volunteered as a bride, some claimed they had gone to work on a project with the Terra Acrus but all agreed, no one had known ahead of time nor had they heard anything since. Tegan's boss would not believe or give her the okay to write a series piece about any of her concerns. And because she kept asking questions, a high-ranking member of the government wanted her silenced. She was soon taken against her will, boarded on the transport, and made part of the Terra Acrus bridal program. Sarek is the Alpha of the Northern Tribe of the Clan Sabre warriors. He and the Clan had no intention of participating in an auction. No sabertooth worth his weight would be happy with a mate just handed to him. The plan? To sneak onto the transport ship that had brought the women and steal those eligible to become mates. Taking an Earther woman before she was sold ensured no one would know about and they wouldn't have breached the terms of the agreement. Besides, neither the Earthers nor those at the Capital would want anyone to know there were women missing. Delta James has once again given us a storyline filled with intrigue, strong characters, Fate-induced mates, and off-the-chart chemistry. Yes, Clan Sabre believes in a strong hand when it comes to taming their mates. I just loved this and can't wait until the next story comes for this group.
6. MAMUUT'S HAVEN by MORGANNA WILLIAMS
Bruin is a Mamuut shifter and younger brother of the Alpha Drakier. Last year, Drakier had found his mate, Shiloh. Bruin, being an accomplished pilot and their clan owning their own spacecraft, intended to go to Earth and find a mate that had the same admirable qualities as his brother's mate. He'd located her scent and tracked it, eventually saving her from four men, to ultimately claim her. Turned out, Haven and the four young children, three females and one male, she cared for was the last of their Quora or cougar shifters. OMF, I thought it with Drakier and Shiloh's story and I'll reiterate now with Bruin and Haven's story …. Who wouldn't want a Mamuut shifter with his talented trunk? This couple has their own challenges with a command appearance before the High Shifter Council. Wait until you read their decision. What a great story!!
7. THEIR SASSY MATE by LESLIE CLARK
Malachi, Alpha of the wolf pack on Terra Arcus, Aric, his beta, and Natalie had asked Raze to go to Earth and just check on Natalie's sister Susie to make sure she was all right. That's all he had to do. He eventually found her and followed her to where Susie was making inquiries at the government office, trying to get information on her sister Natalie. It had been over a year and Susie had yet to hear from her. Not having any luck with the information and almost in tears from the person not really caring she was about to leave when Raze approached her. He told her he knew her sister Natalie and if she wanted, he could take her to his female alpha who had answers for her. Without even thinking, Susie agreed to go with him. After leaving Earth and on their way to Bella Luna their passage was blocked by three men who were beating another down on the ground. Susie really didn't know why she trusted Raze or felt the battered man was so important to her but she knew they had to save him. This was another great addition to the "Marked Brides" series. I loved the triad element ~whew~ and hope we get to read more of this pack next time.
I absolutely loved the first book, 'Marked Brides', in the "Brides of Terra Arcus" series so there was no way I could let this one come and go without getting my own copy and finding out if it would continue in the same thrilling trajectory as its predecessor. It does!! It's so wonderful! Each of these talented authors has brought their story to fruition and brought me back to a world I thoroughly enjoyed with characters that had personalities that were easy to relate to and chemistry that brought contagious reactions just from being a voyeur of their words. Congratulations to all of you and I hope it comes again because there are so many more stories from these Clans I want to read about.

Claimed Brides is the second book of the Brides of Terra Arcus series. This is a collection of seven novellas of human females transplanted to another world – a world of shifters. These stories are real quick read -especially if you can’t sleep and want something to take you away from your worries. Now they are all written as a stand-alone, details of the world are in more detail in book one as well as some of the character that come in as supporting characters in this book.
1. A Polar Second Chance by Pepper North: Clan Thorbin (polar bears), were lucky enough to have won five brides from Earth. Ruth is paired with a male that is not her true mate/ her soul mate. At the council it is decided the women will find their true mate. Ruth feels the connection with a man that is younger than herself, will she be able to allow herself to love Feir?
2. Daddy's Naughty Mate by Allysa Hart: Callie and Rego’s story is picked up one year later – and Callie is pregnant. Rego is still hiding his shifter side, unfortunately he receives some bad news. He and Callie must travel to his old clan, The Claw. Rego’s mother is in danger and by having Callie at his side, she may be in danger as well.
3. Blackwell's Price by Maren Smith: Mr. Blackwell is the auctioneer as well as the enforcer during the auctions – he is the one that insists the clans keep the peace while at the action house. This is the last story in the book but it was the cherry on top of the scorching anthology. My attention was grabbed from the very first page, and the tension did not let go until I reached the end. I have to admit that this trio was a match made in shifter sandwich heaven.

This was a great collection of tales all focusing on a single world:
A Polar Second Chance
This was a lovely read that included a number of twists. It was great seeing how it was her happiness and what was best for the clan that won over and than the mate she found was then the right one for her. The stuffies were a very bright moment.

This was a good read with a big surprise :) I loved their relationship and how it didn't change, even when they left, and how his mother accepted it. He was always there to protect her, but this time, she came to his rescue.
Blackwell’s Price
This was a dark tale in this collection but that in no way means that I didn't enjoy it, but I did... so much. Discipline aplenty and surprises, the only 'downside' and it is not really one, is that the story was over far too soon :) I loved how Maren Smith showed us the darker side of this world.

She goes from being rather pompous and not wanting to be mated, to a woman who also thought of others and made a decision against her previous life. Her mates are all different and there was not one I preferred over the others.

The way he then cared for her after she became his was wonderful, as was her reaction once she knew what the others were going through. The one part that really had me laughing out loud was the final scene, more importantly, the last exchange (you will have to read the book to find out more 😊).

Human brides head to the Arcans to find their mates and to help repopulate the society on Terra Arcus but things are not like they were described. Some of the women were taken against their will and sent and some were taken back by Arcan warriors who came to Earth. This is a great group of short stories from seven authors, two of these I am unfamiliar with, but I loved all of the stories. They are entertaining, well written and they keep your attention. This is a great collection that is definitely worth reading.
Pepper North. - Mated to the wrong person, Ruth is eventually matched to her mate Feir and the adjustment period is harder than she had thought it would be.
Allysa Hart - A stowaway, Callie is discovered by Rego and taken as his mate. The past comes calling and things turn dangerous.

To Whom This May Concern:
I would like to say that this book is consisted of 7 different books with 7 different couples. All of the couples are on the same “universe” and conflicts with some books intermingling, but not much. All the books have a different author and I have not read any of the authors before.
There are 7 relationships in this book. 2 of them are polygamous and 5 of them are monogamous. Each relationship have similar structure as one being a “dominant” and one “submissive. Also, they are humans and aliens involved in each of the relationship.
In this book, the plot is very limited. There is a general plot of Earth and Terra Arcus being in a treaty over woman. However, I wish each of the book incorporated more of the plot. Each of the books have a maximum of 10 chapters with rotating point of views.
The “romance” scenes are steamy. I will never judge on the amount of romance scenes in a book, but more the quality of the scenes themselves. All of the scenes did seem redundant towards the end of the book.
The ending of the book didn’t tie the plot together. The plot wasn’t clear throughout the book.
With that being said, I give the book a 2 out of 5. The plot was not incorporated well, but the “romance” scenes were well written.

Shifter stories
This is collection two in this series. It stands alone but you may want to read that other collection, Marked Brides, first since some of these stories involve the same clans and revisits some of those characters.
The premise is that future earth is a hard place to live. Aliens come with superior technology and unlimited resources. They are dying out because they are short on women. They offer fertile women the chance to go to their planet, chose a mate and be taken care of. On top of that, their family left on earth will be provided with what they need for a comfortable life. That family includes parents, siblings, nieces, nephews, etc. not husbands or their own children. In reality, once they arrive they are auctioned off to the highest bidder. The people on the planet are different kinds of shifters and all the men will punish a mate who doesn't behave. Lots of spankings, with and without implements, and lots of anal. Several relationships involve more than one man.
Since the women are tricked it should be understood that many of the stories involve dubious consent but all women enjoy themselves and each gets their HEA. The men may be tough and initially believe the woman is only good for mating and breeding but they all realize how special their mate is. These are short, steamy shifter stories.

I got the opportunity to read four of the seven stories in advance. All were fantastic, written by some of my favorite authors in the genre.
Mamuut's Haven by Morganna Williams has Bruin travelling to Earth to obtain a bride for himself. He doesn't want the auction, he wants to choose for himself. He finds Haven struggling in the Big Thicket, and rescues her, only to find out she comes with a family. He will claim them all, and do what is necessary to protect them all on Earth and on Terra Arcus.
Golden Angel penned Marked for the Gryphons. Eva travels as part of the bride program to Terra Arcus under false pretenses. She has no intention of being a mate, she just wants to see what the exchange can get her and her parents' company back on Earth. She quickly finds out she is in over her head with her three mates, Zex, Hadist and Dion. She will, with their guidance, find more happiness than she ever felt on Earth.
A Polar Second Chance is Pepper North's contribution, and it is a Daddy story. Ruth is older than the other brides, at 36, and has been mistreated in the past. She struggles to adjust to her new life. The first man she was paired with did not work out, but her second mate is hers. She will have to learn to follow the rules of Polar, and trust her mate, Feir.
Sabretooth is Tegan and Sarek's story. When Tegan starts asking too many questions about the Bride Program, she is bundled onto the next ship headed for Terra Arca to shut her up. The next thing she knows she is kidnapped from the ship by Sarek, the chieftan of his tribe. Sabretooth clans do not participate in auctions, they claim what is theirs. When Sarek claims Tegan, she will rule by his side.
All the stories have discipline in them, and all of them have an HEA. I loved the book last year, and this one is even better. One-Click it now, and enjoy it!

A Polar Second Chance - Pepper North
I liked how the younger man - older woman dynamic was addressed, but that it wasn’t central to the story - their love and her adaptation to her new world was sweetly portrayed.
Daddy’s Naughty Mate - Allysa Hart
This one continues the story if characters that were in the original Claimed Brides Anthology. It still stands on its own, but it’s fun to see familiar faces.
Blackwell’s Price - Maren Smith
Merciless, yet hopeful, in that Cyan and Blackwell feel like they have a better future ahead of the - I liked that it’s the perfect mix of dark and optimistic.
Marked for the Gryphons - Golden Angel
This story is packed full of group steam and a little character growth. Fun times in the Eyrie!
Sabertooth - Delta James
She’s kidnapped, he catches her, she runs away, he catches her again… plenty of steamy punishment and intimate times.
Mamuut’s Haven - Morganna Williams
He went to earth to find a mate and gained a family! Such a sweet tale.

I am reviewing the three stories I read. Maren Smith, Morganna Williams and Delta James.
Maren Smith's novella "Blackwell's Price ".The book is light on shifter notion , heavy on sci-fi. A story of two damaged people that found their consolation in the other. While the story was good, I wished the epilogue was about Cyan and Blackwell lives and how meeting each other change them for better. I even wished it might carry a surprise pregnancy because each one had finally found their soulmate . As it stood , the ending was unnecessarily violent and did not add much to the love story. I wish the author can do a rewrite of the epilogue. The epilogue only, the rest is good.

Morganna Williams novella "Mamuut's Haven" . A simple love story as expected from the author. It is so easy to connect with the characters and their stories. I like the thoughtful depiction of the children's personalities and how they react to the stranger they saw or when he turned to be a mammoth or when they saw the tiger. Brief sentences were used but were enough to give a whole picture about the situation. This novella is a five star read.
Delta James' novella " Sabertooth " A continuation of the Saber clan story that started in the first book but a different branch. I am not in a favour of reading about medical exam or public spanking , I prefer things to be intimate and private. Aside from that, the story is well written and the steam is high. The women in Delta's stories are strong with iron will.

I loved the forest anthology. I thought that all the stories in themselves were great, but as a whole world really well together to give a great picture of the world of Arcus. I was super excited to find that there was going to be a followup book and that a lot of the same authors were asked to write in it.
So to start off, for the those of you that haven't read the first book, "Marked Brides", I recommended reading it, though it is not necessary. As I said earlier, there are a few authors that have continuation stories from the first book that pickup nicely in this book, but they can still be read as a standalone.
I enjoyed all the stories and really think that the authors did a great job of working to together to make sure that there was some kind of uniformity with the world-building (it's essential for the success of a good collaboration). I hope there will be more from these authors in the future

I was totally enthralled by this amazing Sci-Fi shifter anthology (it is perfect for discovering new authors) and to be quite honest, I was very impressed with the individually of each novella. Each of the plots are well-paced with some exciting, unexpected situations and/or events, and have characters that are completely unique in their own way with intriguing traits that causes them to have different outlooks on life. Some of the characters display some deviousness combined with absolute determination to get their ultimate goal, while some of the other characters are struggling to adjust to new & unfamiliar world.
There is: despicable government officials, various kinds of shifters, hot alpha males, feisty human females, abduction, bride auctions, fated mates, adventure, action, threats, danger, conflict, violence, twists & turns, drama, suspense, intrigue, vengeful feelings, deceit, betrayal, devious schemes, strange attractions, distrust, defiance, discipline, spankings, steamy scenes, contentment, happiness & satisfy conclusions.

It is well written with a good plot that, though a little too fast paced at times and in spite of the length of the novella, plays out naturally with a few exciting twists, some action and a little suspense. I enjoyed these seven novellas by this group of talented authors. They all share a shifter theme with strong alpha men and feisty women.
MAMUUT’S HAVEN by Morganna Williams was a favorite of mine. It was a short,sweet shifter romance. Fantasy at its best. The words paint a vivid image of both Bruin, Haven and their children.
Haven, a cougar shifter, initially fought Bruin tooth and nail, but he soon overpowered her. He was determined to find an earth mate of his own to live on Terra Arcus as part of the clan Mamuut.
I loved the joy Haven found in the little things she discovered on Terra Arcus. I also liked liked the strong family values and a protective streak that saw both Bruin and Haven fight for their daughters futures against the High Council.
This novella contains some scorching hot descriptive sex scenes that were definitely off the charts. Throw punishments, and you have the complete package.

This is the 2nd collection set of stories in the Brides of Terra Arcus series There are 7 well written stories by 7 really great Authors. It very much complements the 1st set. This one has wonderful characters, palatable chemistry and the alpha men are exactly that, but don't let that lull you into thinking the women are downtrodden, they are a perfect compliment to their male counter parts. They are feisty and very strong. I will read the 1st set again and then continue on with this one. Well done Authors!

Claimed Brides is the second anthology in the Marked Brides Series. Some of the stories are totally independent of the first anthology while others pick up where the first stories left off. There is a combination of sweet D/s stories and those that are a bit darker. Delta James' Sabetooth picks up with the Northern Saber tribe where they carry on the tradition of stealing their brides in a little different manner this time with a good dose of spanking mixed in. Pepper North's Polar Story on the other hand is a sweet, loving Daddy story. Each of the books in the anthology is well written with good character development and an independent story. I am curious to see how this world is continued in the future

I love that this started with a new chapter in one of my favorite stories of the previous anthology. That actually was a theme I quite liked about this anthology: the continuation of so many of the stories we saw in the first. There were a couple of stories that dipped farther into humiliation territory than I’m personally comfortable with, but I had so much fun with the rest. I’m very interested to see what the plot seeds planted here develop into in the future.

Without a doubt this box set of short novellas is steaming hot. Each novella features an alpha shifter male and a sassy female. Some females arrived by choice, others by "accident" but none know what will actually happen when each are claimed as brides. Each novella is a very short quick read in which each Bride learns that on Terra Arcus life is very different from life on Earth and that to survive they will not only have to learn to trust their mates, but will have to obey thier every command and submit to his demands.

Tegan is looking into missing women and the government does not want her looking any further.
The government is in an agreement with the Terra Arcus...women volunteering to be brides for the men on the other planet.
Sarek is the cheiftain of his pack and a mighty one at that.
Tegan has not agreed to go to the other plantet.
She is kidnapped and for sure someone that is going to need a strong hand to make it.
This is a great story and I really enjoyed reading it.

Seven great stories, by seven great authors about 7 strong, courageous women and the alpha shifters that want to posses them. I read Blackwell’s Price by Maren Smith. Cyan is a survivor and will do whatever it takes, including "selling" herself to the Brides of Terra Arcus Program to insure her family is taken care of. Blackwell wants the payment he has been promised by the Benefactor and council members who owe him for running the auction and making them a lot of money. So, he takes Cyan. They have an interesting dynamic I found very compelling. I have to say, this one story in the anthology caused me to buy the whole book. So even though I read Maren Smith's book for Booksprout, I bought them all. I can't wait to read the rest of the books.
