Beyond Green Fields #7 - Savage: A post-apocalyptic anthology

Rate this book
You’ve read the novels of Bree and Nate’s fight to survive the zombie apocalypse—and there's more Nate—and some others—have a lot to comment on.

Contains seven short stories set in the Green Fields universe.

Nate's POV of parts of GF#11: Retribution & GF#12: Annihilation

I thought I was doing so well.

I was doing so well.

Until I went to look for Bree—and what I found instead was Hamilton crouching over her lifeless body, lying in a still-spreading pool of blood.

Nate's POV post GF#12: Annihilation

Sometimes, a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do.

Oh Brother Some very interesting conversations that happened a long time ago. Nate's POV, several years pre-GF.

The first thing that comes into my mind as I become aware of my surroundings again is a vague sense of surprise, mostly at still being alive.

It’s not that I forgot what happened. The mere fact that I can barely piece together the last several days tells me a lot.

The explosions. Getting medevaced out of a dusty, burning hell. A nurse or doctor leaning over me only to rear back immediately. Heavily armed guards in full biohazard gear. A different nurse, surrounded by white-tiled walls. The impossibly bright lights of an operating room suite piercing my eyes when the cover they must have put over my face slips off. And, finally, a much more dimly lit room, revealing two faces I didn’t expect to see… maybe ever again.

Post-GF#12: Annihilation, Nate's POV

A very special father-daughter bonding moment...

What Happens In Prague, Stays in Pia Zilinsky’s POV, pre-GF

The last mission before the mission that would change their lives forever. Pia Zilinsky has some thoughts about that.

New Gabriel Greene’s POV, GF#1: Incubation - #6: Unity

What is now one of the great cities of the new world was once only the dream of a man who had barely started to find himself...

Part 1: Of hostile takeovers and unhealthy ultimatums, or how Gabriel Greene found himself the antihero of his own story.

Part 2: Of humbling experiences, and meeting old acquaintances.

Contains spoilers for the Green Fields series including the ending. The anthology can be enjoyed as a stand-alone work of fiction but is intended as a companion piece to the novels.

Green made it.

Fun views of three principals in the series. I had wondered how Green survived and built his mini empire, now I know. These mini looks at the GF characters are revealing and detail is important.
