If you’re looking to place your bets on a winning read, this is a sure thing. Kristy Mallory’s intriguing and sizzling Harbourview Casino series continues with sequel Dirty Secrets, picking up and jumping right in to where the action left off in Dirty Money.

Cyber sleuth and ethical hacker Leslie is in a bind, after uncovering the digital trail of corruption at the casino. She knows she needs to lawyer up and fast, so she turns to her brother’s best friend, Chase, for legal counsel. But Les and Chase have a complicated romantic past and the palpable sexual tension is immediately present. They need to build a strong defence that will protect the robo-Robin Hood’s career and save her reputation while dealing with even stronger unresolved feelings for one another.

Mallory is quickly becoming one of my favourite writers for the way she skillfully creates compelling and complex characters with genuine back stories and multi-dimensional emotions. In Dirty Secrets, she rounds out Leslie and Chase with dual POVs, as well as heart-wrenching origin stories that begin in their youth and are deftly woven into who they are as adults. As a result, they both come off as relatable and real, and this ultimately amps up the romance, which unfolds organically and gives the reader a sense that these lovers are soul mates meant to be together.

I really appreciated that Mallory introduced a secondary storyline to bring even greater depth to her storyline while creating important awareness of domestic abuse issues. It all culminates into a fantastic ending that is satisfying on all fronts, sure to leave you as eager as I am for the next chapter in this wonderful series!

- this one was definitely better then the first one, did a better job of letting the story play out then telling it to the reader
- a lot of legal jargon in here that went over my head at times
- little brothers best friend, saucy. The fact that she took his virginity is absolutely wild
- chase truly loves everything about Les and always have so that was very sweet
- Vicki coming back was very wholesome even though the circumstances were poor
- worst third act break up ever, wildly unnecessary and truly out of no where, I was hoping there one week not talking would be the extend of it but no they had to make it worse
- I know Les and Chase have known each other forever and Chase as loved her since he was a teenager but why did they have to get engaged literally 2 months after they started dating

Chase loved Leslie since he was seventeen years old. But her being seven years older than him, there was no way she could get involved with her brother's best friend, and it was only a crush he had on her anyway. Years later they hooked up one night but fate stepped in keeping them apart. But now Les needs his professional help, and he would not let his feelings for her stand in the way of helping her saving her career as,well as saving her from criminal prosecution. Will this be their time? I loved this book, wonderful characters and a good storyline.

I love this new book in the Harbourview Casino series. It takes up the story where Dirty Money left off. Kristy tells the story of Leslie Carpenter and how she deals with the fallout from her hacking of the Casino computers. Leslie turns to lawyer, Chase Jeffries, for help. Chase is her brother's best friend, with whom she has an uneasy past relationship. Both the romance and intrigue in this book make it tough to put down. It left me with a smile and a tear which leads me to recommend it to everyone. Already, I can hardly wait to see what comes next! Kristy Mallory, you've got another hit!

This is the 1st book I've read written by Kristy Mallory; I can’t wait to read more of her books.

This is the 2nd book in the Harbourview Casino Series; it is a stand-alone book. The story is about Leslie & Chase; she’s been working at the Harbourview Casino and hacks into the server to prove her boss and other executive members have been laundering money. She gets caught and now needs Chase’s help to keep from going to jail or worse.

loved it !!! love this series !!! love Leslie and Chase....this is their story... a fast paced action packed drama... secrets... Leslie has hacked her way into the casinos computer... money laundering and more... she contacts Chase for help... but , they have history... will this hurt her case ?
