My name is Andrew ’Trick’ Starett. I’m a Dark Leopards MC nomad. As a fugitive recovery agent, I’ve travelled all over, but my love of gambling has me calling Las Vegas home. When Wraith, president of the East Texas Chapter, asked me to help him track down a missing woman close to the club, I never thought I’d be searching for my mate. The brothers warned me that she was trouble, but it looks like it found her. Discovering she’s entangled with the local mob will have me pulling out all my tricks to save her hide.
First things first; I like the cover of this book! Tricky bastard is the twelfth book in the ‘’dark leopards MC east Texas chapter’’ series/collection. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. When Chloe decides to go on a two-week school break vacation, she doesn’t expect the outcome. Trick is a leopard shifter tasked with finding his friends missing friend. What Trick doesn’t expect is for the missing panther shifter to be his mate. The chemistry between Trick/Andrew and Chloe is clear to see and I liked them together. I really wasn’t a fan of Shelly. I hated the way she treated Chloe. That being said, she didn’t deserve what happened to her. I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story. The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for more books from this series.
I've never read about someone so deserving of what he got. I was sad about Chloe's friend and wish things had been different for her. Lucky thing Trick was such a good hunter and his powers are awesome when he saved his mate. Alexei should have known the bastard his father was.
