Okay, I'm a late bloomer who's a big DC comics fan and spent my childhood summers on the Jersey shore but I was born under a wandering star and have lived in different parts of America ever since. That's enough about me. Need to feel inspired today? Looking for something to make you root for an ordinary hero? I'm all about that in everything I write.
I love a good tale that makes me wonder about things and I love a story even more that leaves me feeling inspired or like I'm capable of doing more than I realized. That's my goal with everything I've ever written. Some of the stories I tell involve twisting, turning thrillers and others have a lot of magic.
There's something to be said for getting lost in another world and coming out the other side feeling a little better about yourself or the possibilities in front of you. That's basically the best part of life in a nutshell, no matter what kind of story I'm setting out to tell.
Johnny Walker, Lisa, and Charlie Walker Johnny's cousin continue to search for the murder of the shifters in California with no success. They end up in Nevada and find a woman 🚺 who has an army of shifters. And the search continues as the killer is not available. I would recommend this series and authors too readers of fantasy world 🌎 adventure mystery novels 👍🔰. 2023 😀👒😡😮
Yes, there were plenty of serious moments, with Johnny, and his estranged Cousin, Charlie, slowly, but surely, learning to tolerate each other, but it was also laugh out loud funny whenever the Coonhounds Rex and Luther, were involved - and they were involved, a LOT!
I REALLY love those two Hounds, and find them both totally endearing, but hysterically funny at the same time.
I guess it takes being a dog owner, and understanding your companion really well, that can bring about characters like Rex and Luther .
For the majority of my married life, I experienced the same kind of wonderful companionship, with you anunconditional trust, and a love that just kept on giving, from my own furry friends, and I still miss them both terribly.
I only have a cat now and, although I love her dearly, our dogs gave their affection unconditionally - but cats are the opposite, and demand that of us! Lol
This his book, in particular, got me so into Rex and Luther's characters, and I sooo wish that the gadget that Johnny created, to talk with his furry friends, were a reality!
But, back to the plot.
I REALLY enjoy the complexity of all the books that Martha Carr and Michael Anderle write together.
There's ALWAYS plots within plots, just as there was with this particular book - and the series as a whole, of course - and these keep me riveted to the pages of these books, until I reached the very end of each book, as this one did, as usual!
Now, according to my Reading List, I SHOULD be going back over to Amanda's Series right now - but, as I only have the one last book left, of this whole series, I'm going to ignore the List, and finish up this series, by reading book twelve: "Dwarfin' Done".
I really don't want to wait, to find out how everything is resolved, so I'm doing it, and continuing this last book!
So, once I've finished this review: "This book is a fantastic read, so go grab a copy yourself!", then I'll read this last book, and I'll catch you on the flip side, to let you know what I think of both book twelve, and the series as a whole!
This book was filled from start to finish with action, intrigue, and fun. I do not recommend starting to read it late in the day though or you too may finish it around 1:30am. But it is a good read and definitely worth the time. I will be sad that the next book is the last in this series, but look forward to reading it none the less. I recommend this book and the series and all of the books set in this universe.
More action and intrigue. Martha is a superb writer and she excellently molds and develops her characters to the point that you feel you know them and care for them. I have enjoyed this arc and hope the next book will merely be the end of the arc, not the end of the stories with Johnny and Lisa.
Well Johnney Lisa and Charlie have managed to get to the bottom of the pending shifter war between the normal and the transformed. There are multiple agendas and now agencies involved . Fun story, characters, that are fast paced and enjoyable. Looking forward to the next book.
Johnny, Lisa, Charley and the coon dogs are trying to stop a war between natural born shifters and transformed shifters, but first they have a few mysteries to solve. There is always lots of humor in these books along with an action packed storyline and I look forward to the next book in the series.
Johnny has a talent for getting into trouble, and it is working overtime. The shifter conflict is ramping up and the main leaders are becoming more unstable. A new leader is emerging and is calling for the transformed shifters to war with the naturals. And Johnny Walker and his cousin and Lisa are directly in the middle. A good if dizzying read.
I love this book and the series of Dwarf Bounty hunter. I especially love these last few books because I’m from Chico. Hearing all the familiar cities and town that I grow up in was awesome. The story gets better and better. With twist and turns. The plot getting thicker and I can’t wait to see what happens at the end.
As with the others in this series, I would have found them more enjoyable if Johnny wouldn't let fly with the blasphemies every few minutes. Also, like the last few books, this one is not a complete story, so those who are upset by that probably want to steer clear.
That said, I enjoyed this one more than the last one and I'm hoping the next book finishes this particular story.
When are Johnny and Lisa going to have Amanda on an adventure? And James Brownstone and Leira need to show up too!!! 50 more books AT LEAST!!!!! Howard S (the S stands for Super Fan!)
Great story when is the next book come out, I know it takes a while to write and then publish, I am 73 I just hope that I will be around when it gets here, also more books about Amanda would be great. Thank You.
Clearly this series is well written and it has pretty decent editing and continuity checking. The characters are well developed and I like at least a few of them. Nice way to spend a pleasant evening.
I highly recommend this extremely entertaining book, and the series that are associated with it, to readers who love reading kick a** Urban Fantasy. Enjoy!
