This book is full of surprises. Told in multiple points of view to build tension and hide secrets, we think we know everything we need to know about each person, but we keep discovering more and darker secrets the longer we read. The plot jumps back and forth between the past and present, telling the bride's POV, the groom's, the bride's sister's and the groom's best man's, along with a couple of others. The story takes place on an island during a terrible storm, and a lot of the background revolves around a group of men who all went to school together. They played a sadistic game of Survival and describe their school years that way--as survival. When they get together, they have an alarming pack mentality that drives a lot of the book. Interesting character studies.
