I'm hoping this series never ends.

For a while I thought the adventures of the Recaster were over, but now they continue with new goals and worlds in peril. So Dean is not immortal, but he and his family and many alien friends will still charge into harms way. To boldly go where no man has gone before, thanks to the portals. This series is such a fun weaving of science fiction, family drama, and otherworldly humor.

Every episode of Survivors is a unique journey with a great cast of characters I get to know better with each instalment.

A very enjoyable read, I couldn't put it down. I'm also a sucker for any type of time travel - loved it.

Look forward to the next instalment.

Fantasy, time travel and lots of characters from previous books in the series - 3 stars

I was not aware before I started this book that New Galaxy was deep into a long series of a story so for me, it was a slog to read and understand. The characters' names may be familiar to The Survivors series readers. If so, you are halfway there. For newbies, the jumping between different times, locations and people was difficult to navigate.

I am sure that the notion of using runes, spells, and hand waving has been accepted by many others but it was too fantastic for my taste. With portals to jump between universes, gates and special constructions, I felt dizzy by all of the magic and underwhelmed by the calm bravado that Jules, a strong female character name Jules Parker, displayed. Jules' extended family has special magic skills. They remember their youth even after a rejuvenation process shaves off aging.

One extremely old character starts losing body parts as he gets old - such as fingers falling off and no longer regenerated. Many concepts were imaginative. Insectivores and fearsome creatures were presented in a large supply. Turning people to stone was a favorite trick of villains in addition to bringing on meteor strikes.

If you are a fan of fantasy in your science fiction, this series could be just what you want.

Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more;

As the galaxy turns its attention to the vote for President of the Alliance, Dean Parker is called to fight the false Recaster. Filled with the minds of the ten gods of Amendor, the second Recaster accepts his role as destroyer of galaxies. Dean must accept once and for all his duties and abilities of Recaster but first he must destroy his foe before he uses the portals to destroy the worlds they sit on.

I'm overjoyed to be back with the Parkers, saving the Universe, bringing new worlds into the Alliance. Old friends, they bring me excitement and adventure as they bring peace to the Galaxy. All the friends I know and love return with new challenges and opportunities to overcome the obstacles in their path. A new storyline, new enemies and returning foes, the master storyteller brings joy to this old man. This is an amazing series and a great read.

Talk about another wonderful book by Nathan Hystad. Top of mind for all our friends is the question of where Sarlun has gone. His daughter, Suma, is left to pick up the pieces, but there is one there trying to get rid of her. And let's not forget about the city of Orlin and the coming of Amendor, which is bad news all around. There is also the return of someone unexpected. So lots to keep Jules, Dean and the rest of the Alliance members busy. Really looking forward to the next book in this series. Keep it up Nathan.

Intergalactic dimensions

How can the Parkers still find themselves mixed up in saving the universe? Not sure how Nathan continues to progress this story with duplication. He consistently surprises you at every corner having multiple time lines and dimensions coexist while momentarily but does it in a way that brings the whole story together. Can’t wait to get caught up with the rest of this series.

First off a disclaimer: This is the first book I have read in this series. But I KNEW it would be worth it! I enjoy anything written by Mr. Hystad. Very intriguing. Will have to start the first book soon. Highly recommend Anything he has out and on the way. It was way too short though....211 pages. One point, if I may, got confused who/which 'Dean' was indicated.

Once again Nathan has given his readers yet another great read. The adventures continue for Dean and his family. With the offer of an gift of a lifetime, but at what cost.

I have the pleasure of receiving an advanced copy of this book

What a continuation.

Brilliantly picked up here and so easy to remember what has gone before. It was like meeting an old friend. Truly brilliant. Can't wait for the next adventure. It is
Nice to have the heroes win and in their proper place at the end.

I have the box set.

Another enjoyable and engaging adventure in this series where Dean and his daughter, Jules seek to save the worlds from being destroyed...focusing on Dean's Recaster status.

A great plot, interesting characters and a believable sense of place.
