I’d like to introduce you to Carence and Narcy. Carence is a dedicated and unrelenting giver of care to his wife, Narcy. Some might say that Narcy is a covert narcissist. Their stable yet dysfunctional relationship dynamic is not uncommon. Yet, the path to a brighter future is not always well-lit.
I first met Carence and Narcy while I was facing my own relationship challenges. Their stories helped me better understand my reality and I hope they can do the same for you.
In two parts, this book tells the story of Carence and Narcy’s relationship with each other and themselves, as well as of Carence’s healing journey as he finds strength, courage, and transformational healing. Carence also shares the reflections, insights and resources that he wishes he had known about at certain points in his life, and that have helped him so much since.
If you are in, or have been in, a codependent/narcissist relationship and are unable to find helpful information out there, for men in particular, I hope this book will support you.
May you find the comfort, courage and strength to support your transformation, whatever that looks like for you.
As Carence comes to learn, “Healing takes a long time, and it’s not a straight path.”
