I don't understand why people are giving it 5 stars. Seriously, walking into "your man" getting head from a club bunny after being attacked by your ex and nearly raped seems like something a normal person would never get over. But this is a heroine with no self-respect in an MC romance so it's a-OK.
Gigi walks into the clubhouse to a scene that devastates her. She’s just gone through a traumatic experience and just needs Ghost to make her feel safe. Ghost is freaking out because he knows he messed up and Gigi is hurting. This was another edge of your seat page turner. Gigi and Ghost have undeniable chemistry that leaps off the pages. A well written story that ends on a cliffhanger. Can’t wait for book 2! I received an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Finally, I get to read the next book in the series. It was written well, but it isn't as detailed as some of the others in this series. I wish it were longer than the 8 chapters it is. Thank god I have the next one already. I hope it's the ending it deserves. I am voluntarily leaving a review after receiving an ARC.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
If you like short MC serial stories with some grit and lots of triggers, Angel's Fury is the series for you. There is an ongoing story line running through the books that started back with Lexi Noir's Angel's Rules series. It is best to read them all and in order to follow. They are all quick reads and you can catch up quickly. Ghost's Control is book 5 in the series Angel's Fury. Like the others it picks up where the previous book ends and also sets up and ends on a cliffhanger.
I'm not normally a fan of the quick serial books but there is something about these guys and the fierce women they love. Maybe it is the tenderness these guys show for their women, maybe it the strength all of these women demonstrate. They are survivors and when they love, it is all in. And maybe it is the strength of the bond of brothers. Beware there are multiple triggers and alternative lifestyles but variety makes the world go around. As usual I am left hanging, waiting for the next book. Give the books a read.
Ghost thought Gigi was done with him and in a moment of weakness made a huge mistake that nearly cost him everything. Gigi had been attacked while staying with Tara at the beach and all she wanted was to get back to Ghost knowing he would make everything better. I teared up when she walked in to the clubhouse and saw Ghost in a compromising position. My heart broke for the pain she felt and feeling as though she was cast aside. Ghost knew he messed up and was determined to explain everything to Gigi and to be there for her. I actually felt bad for Ghost when he realized the damage he had done. I loved that Tank and Cas were her Gi's bodyguards and were determined to protect her, even from Ghost. But with lots of determination Ghost was able to right his wrongs and show Gi what she meant to him. To me one of the best parts was when Gi turned the tables and asked Ghost how he would feel if the situation were reversed.
I cannot wait for the 2nd part to find out what's going on with the old ladies and how their men are going to react.
I love the whole Angel's Fury series. You have really head-strong dangerous biker men who all fall for strong, independent women who have to face a lot of emotional and physical trauma. Ghost's story was right in line with this. It does carry over from the previous books so you might want to read them first but this book was so gripping and emotional, especially for Gigi. Ghost knows he messed up and he knows that Gigi is already hurting from a trauma he wasn't there for. Will he be able to make things better for the woman he really cares for. Like a lot of the other stories in this series, we are left with a sort of cliff hanger that leaves us anticipating the next story. I definitely recommend this book if you are okay with some triggers because this story contains quite a few. I received a review copy of this story from the author and am leaving a voluntary honest review.
To be fair the story has potential but, where's the rest. Books like this should have a cliffhanger disclaimer. Yeah the girl went through something traumatic but, obviously she searched her soul (😉 of you read the book you get it)and came up with what she could live with. That's all any of us can do though, we might not come to the same conclusions. However, the story has 8 short chapters I didn't see novella in the caption or title anyway, I'm out. It's already hard for me to try new authors, when I come across one who does this it makes it harder.
