Taking chances isn’t one of Nolan’s strong suits…and neither is going after what he wants. But when his new friendship with Trip and Maverick shows him the courage he didn’t realize he had, he knows it’s time to confront his slightly uptight boyfriend, Reid, and go after what he’s always wanted…a Daddy.
Reid realizes there’s no more dodging Nolan’s not-so-subtle hints about BDSM, but that doesn’t mean he knows what to do about it. As he looks at his sweet boyfriend, all he does know is that he’d do anything to make him happy…and anything to keep him safe. Even if that means finding Nolan a Daddy…a Tentacle Daddy.
When love and acceptance become a rock and a hard place, sometimes it takes a new perspective and a few tentacles to find the way forward.
50k words Story Contains: MMM sexual content, BDSM elements, spankings, edging, a bit of lightning in fun places, and age play with a wonderfully confident Tentacle Daddy
**Author’s Note** While each story is about a different couple, the books in this series are best read in order.
It was interesting. I didn't enjoy this one as much as the first two, but still an intesting concept for a storyline. M.A. Innes does a great job though, of weaving this couple into a triad and incorporating aspects of kink into their relationship.
Love the way this is portrayed as more than an unconventional kink.
I love how the beginning of this throuple is described. So far from what I've read, it is mostly already established relationships or with supernaturals who have soulmates so there's not 'awkward communication'.
I love how open and honest their relationship is and how Edward makes it so direct. I love seeing them accommodate each other and especially Reid admitting just how hard he found the whole thing.
Honestly, I think this is the best book in this trilogy and just had to give it 5 stars. True, there were a few things I thought could have been written better. I found some descriptions lacking and while the author incorporated a lot of the emotional aspect of their budding relationship in the sex scenes, I think the book would have been much better if there was more of it and more scenes of them just doing relationship stuff, going on dates etc.
Still, I will probably come back to it and reread it sometime in the future.
I've been worried about meeting Nolan's boyfriend since the previous book, but Reid is much better than I had hoped -- I should have trusted Dear Author that she wouldn't write a douche-canoe as an MC and that he must have a good reason to be very kink-cautious. And it's an excellent, although heart-breaking reason. Which Edward understands. The fact that he's one of the New Neighbors also takes care of Reid's fears. I would've liked a little more age-play and a longer story in general, although I'm satisfied for now, especially since it looks like another book is in the works -- go pizza guy!
Yes please. I don't think I can go back to regular Daddies now.
Just a heads up, the start of this book makes no sense at all if you don't read the one before it. I read it and it still took me a couple of chapters to figure out what was going on.
I adored Reid so much. Imagine loving someone so much you go out and find him a Daddy? That made me fall for him immediately. Nolan was adorable and I love me some alien.
There is a little bit of age play, but its like a couple of scenes and doesn't last long.
I have, of course, read the first two books and enjoyed them. But..... I...... I don't care for this one. I don't feel like the relationship was balanced or fair to Reid. *Minor spoilers* Nolan got everything he didn't even dream of. Edward, of course, was fulfilled. But Reid had to do all the learning and adapting. He had to change everything. I didn't like the way it went from him and Nolan being together and loving each other to Nolan and Edward having a perfect relationship and leaving Reid to find a way to fit. He became the unnecessary third. He and Nolan could no longer work as a couple. He and Edward definitely wouldn't couple. But Nolan and Edward could easily be a couple without Reid being involved. It made me sad that things didn't find a better balance. I was kind of hoping he would find himself as Nolan's bossy, tattly older cousin figure. So Edward was the authority, but not necessarily directly over Reid. I guess that could be where they are headed, but it just didn't feel settled to me.
There's no world building, there are no character descriptions, the characters have undefined personalities, it's just words on a page. This writing has no life. I skimmed the previous two books in the series and they were just as bad and now I'm done. I have no sense of who the aliens are, where they came from, what they look like, what their purpose was for immigrating to Earth, and I just don't understand the point of writing books like this that are just...nothing.
No rating on this one as I got 30% in and decided it wasn’t for me. I don’t get “little” play at all. Not judging those who do but it kind of icks me out when combined with sex and diapers. Submission and wanting a strong person to take care of you is one thing, infantilization blurred with sex is another. Also note, that you need to have read the first two or you won’t understand the aliens at all or have a good sense of what they look like other than tentacles.
I didn't like this one at all compared to the other two.
1: Age-play/ABDL is not my thing. When I saw age-gap I assumed older man and younger man and so when it came up I was slightly shocked. I also didn't know what "little" meant until this book. I guess TIL?
2: I really did not like how everything went Nolan's way and Reid had to conform to everything. I felt like Reid was a very much third wheel in his own story, which I didn't appreciate.
Least favorite book in the series. I know nothing about Edward except his profession. He has zero personality outside of Dom and the story suffered because of it.
We pick back up in the series with Nolan, the cute waiter, who has told his boyfriend that he needs more than their relationship - he is a little, and he needs a daddy. His boyfriend, Reid, struggles with this but doesn’t want to lose Nolan - we learn along the way that his sister was in a BDSM relationship that wasn’t healthy and she passed away causing him some issues around it.
While they are at Trip and Mavericks wedding, Maverick introduces them to George - and he seems to have filled George in on what Nolan has been looking for. Reid is wary of him, but knows that their species can’t hurt a human but invited him to dinner with them to discuss and figure out how it could work.
The three of them navigating their new dynamic was super interesting, with George almost being a catalyst for Nolan and Reid to figure themselves out and open up even more. Nolan and George fall into an easy relationship, with Nolan getting to be his submissive self and Reid learning along the way. But when George and Reid’s relationship develops further, going on a date alone and being more physically intimate it was so sweet seeing Reid let go of his worries.
“Something about it had my stomach tightening in a deliciously nerve-racking way. “Yes, mate. Only you. We belong to you.” Okay, I was starting to see what Nolan found so interesting about having a Dom.”
Another fun addition to this series, heaps of spicy tentacle action, honest convos, sweet moments and a lot of fun!
Nolan is shy and finds asking for what he needs difficult, but being friends with Trip and Maverick has given him the confidence to confront his uptight boyfriend Reid to go after what he desperately needs - a Daddy. Reid realises that he cannot dodge Nolan's hints about BDSM but he has no idea what to do about it he just knows he would do anything to make him happy and keep him safe even if he has to find Nolan a Daddy or Tentacle Daddy. When love and acceptance become a rock and a hard place, sometimes it takes a new perspective and a few tentacles to find the way forward.
This was such a sweet story where Edward came in and started off being a Daddy (or Tentacle Daddy) for Nolan but it morphed into caring for Reid too. I loved that Edward was so careful to make sure that Reid was involved and that it educated him that Nolan needed him even though he had a Daddy. It was quite touching in the end that there was love between the three of them. Easy to read, feel and understand. The MMM book contains mature content of a BSDM-like nature including spankings, edging, a bit of lightning in fun places, and age play in a three-way relationship. You need to read the books in this series in order.
This was the sexy and enjoyable romance of three mates. Edward was a dominant alien, and he was very quickly ready to take control and care for his new mates, Nolan and Reid. Nolan was a submissive little, and he was thrilled to find the daddy he needed in Edward. Reid started off uptight and uncomfortable with the idea of BDSM, but there were underlying reasons for his fears. I found all three characters to be likable, and I appreciated seeing them grow closer as Reid opened up to Edward and then Nolan about his past. These characters were so good for each other. The sexy scenes were extra interesting with tentacles involved, and Edward's logical outlook and conviction that he was always right made me smile. I'm not always a fan of tentacle romance, but I am a huge fan of this author. No matter the subject matter, she provides a great story with a lot of tender loving care. This one is no exception, and I'll be here for the next romance in this fun series.
This is a fun read. I had a good time reading about Nolan, Reid, and Edward. Their relationship is interesting and completely different from the other two couples that we have met in this series. Reid thinks too much, but Edward allows him to process his thoughts and to really think about how he truly feels about each activity and Nolan's desires.
Nolan is a fun cutie that you want to make sure the other two take care of him and push his buttons. I do wish that we got a little insight into the "aliens", but I also see how that might not be the best reading since they know what they want and don't understand how humans just don't say what they really mean. :)
I have so much fun with this series and how well each couple, or throuple, thrive once the humans let go of their hesitations and fears. For a fun, unique read you should definitely check out this book and the previous books in this series.
Established human couple Nolan and Reid meet alien Edward at a friends wedding. I really liked their introduction to each other. It was fun, sassy and hilarious. I actually felt a little sorry for Nolan.
It becomes evident quiet quickly that Edward is the missing piece their relationship needs.
I liked the language and the way they communicated with each other. Reid was endearing with his concerns. Edward was the perfect addition to the relationship, bringing balance, comfort and confidence to both Nolan and Reid. It was sweet and romantic.
A hot and sexy mmm tentacles love story. I really enjoyed these men learning to compromise and adapt to a changing relationship dynamic.
This is a really sweet MMM book, where one of the main characters has tentacles, but Edward’s ways of talking made me smile so much and Reid and Nolan from whose viewpoints the story was told, were very different, but caring and kind and it immediately made my heartwarm. The really hot scenes were as good as the books in the earlier series, and I throughly enjoyed the story. I would recommend starting with My Cameron, as the characters reappear on occasion, but a lovely addition to the series I will want to re-read. Do not let the tenacles put you off, the aliens seem genuinely nice people and not strange at all, once you sink into the story.
I really didn’t know how far M.A. Innes could take this kind of story but this one was different from the others in the series and not just because it’s one alien with two humans. This is an already established couple that meets their alien mate and everyone has to make accommodations. Ms. Innes does a marvelous job of writing these characters and developing a story around the relationship between the three men. Lots of laughter, lots of spice and lots of fun to read.
I’ve read several tentacle books but none have done it this well. We have aliens with tentacles. We have BDSM. Snd the guys are all lovable. I love the way the aliens talk. Plus the way they read the humans, who wouldn’t want that. I went into this not thinking much of Reid and he became my favorite. So much do that I want to see how things are progressing with them. Yeah I know I always say it but this time the need is stronger. Keep them coming..
Ah all the feels in book are so addicting, who wouldn’t want to have a alien lover lol. Reid, Nolan, and Edward are such different characters you can’t help but want them to work out the kinks an get to the fun stuff in a hurry. But the slow burn is nice as well another 10/10 for me can’t wait for the next book.
I love the world created in these books! The alien mate are so alpha and all about protecting and loving there human mate. And the BDSM I these stories and you got me hook line a sinker. This book did not disappoint I loved the dynamic of there being two human mates it was so sweet to watch then work everything out. My favorite from the series so far!
If you like alien/mate stories you should definitely read this series. And if you are curious, this is definitely the series to start with. MA Innes/Shaw Montgomery always gives us great stories and characters. Never too much angst and always sweet and Hot! I have fallen in love with all of the characters in her books.
The third book in this wonderful series and thing just get better. In this book there are three individuals finding their way into bonding together. Nolan who needs more than his boyfriend Reid can give, Reid does have reasons for holding back, until Edward makes his entrance and has the confidence to make it work, bringing pleasure with him.
I enjoyed this story more than I expected. I’d read the other two in the series and didn’t think the daddy bdsm elements would appeal to me but I really enjoyed it. It was sweet and sexy. It also did some heavy lifting around communication and growth in relationships. Plus, tentacles. M.A. Innes did a great job with this series!
Age play is not my thing normally, but I was willing to overlook it because the first 2 books were so good. I’m glad I did cause Edward, Nolan and Reid’s story was sweet and very very sexy all the way through!
You should definitely read the first two books before this one for world building and background. This was a great addition - steamy, fun, and a little different with the MMM aspect. I enjoyed it and can’t wait to read the next in the series (pizza guy?).
If you are looking for something fun and cute with little to no angst, this series is a great one. I recommend reading "My Cameron" first, since it has the most background in the world building.
Highly recommend. Could be read as a stand-alone but is best read in order for maximum enjoyment, plus the other books are wicked awesome and I love the covers.
A perfect, sexy example of what I've come to expect from this series. Innes upends the status quo by adding Edward to an established relationship, but the different dynamics that evolve are both lovely and deliciously spicy.
