A Bit Much
There were parts in this book that had me a bit confused because there was so much going on at once. It seemed as though the author was just trying to wrap up everything together in a couple paragraphs in order to close out the book with all questions answered. Other than that, the crime was solved with the help of Sunshine and her partners in crime... solving.
Another book read and another clue word in her doorstep, but no romance for Sunshine. In really looking forward to her word puzzle being solved and also for her to find a romantic companion.
Next book I'm headed to in this series is Book 6 'Homicide at High Tide', but since it doesn't get released for 2 more days (09/30/21) I’m going to read:
“Lyin’ Eyes” by Julie Mulhern - Book 13 in The Country Club Murders series (yes I’ve read the previous 12 books in this series).

Another fun mystery!
This is book #5 in the series. Sunshine Baker, full time librarian and amateur detective embarks on another beach town mystery.She has gained a reputation for solving crimes and her coworker needs her help to prove an election fraud has been committed by the newly elected mayor and council. Sunshine is not sure who to trust and who is on the right side of the law. Twists and turns keep the story interesting. I enjoyed reading it and now on to Book #6.

Sunshine…and KL Montgomery…you did not disappoint! Sunshine and her posse of friends once again work together to save their beloved community. Cannot wait to find out who Sunshine’s secret admirer is!!!

Just keep reading.
This book took me a little longer to get into, but is definitely worth staying with it. I'm not into politics and scandals trigger my anxiety, however, Sunshine's wit and determination kept me following along.

As is usual for Montgomery's Dangerous Curves series this book was a fun read. I know politics aren't everyone's favorite, but I think Montgomery does an excellent job making it less about the typical "right vs left" and more about the bribery aspect. An enjoyable read!

The stories just get better and better! So many town unknown secrets! It was fun unraveling it and kept me up reading until 2:30 am.
