Love, Gorda: a collection of poems

Rate this book
All proceeds from this collection will be donated to the American Lung Association and its efforts to combat lung cancer, in memoriam of my grandmother.

Inside this book is a collection of poems and other words that represent my own personal grief and the memory of who we lost. I'm not a professional poet, and these pieces are chaotic and messy, but it's a small insight into a grieving heart. I hope it reaches you in some way.

Why Love, Gorda? It's what I'd sign all my letters and cards and what her term of endearment for me was.

*Bonus contributions from her boys, Christopher, Justin, Daniel, and David, will also be included.

This was a beautiful collection of words that deeply expressed how much love the author has for her grandmother and her personal journey of grief after the loss of the family matriarch.

It's clear that her grandmother played a very important role in her life and helped care for, encourage, and shape her into the strong, proud, creative, soul that she is today.

The bonus words from the brothers were incredibly touching.

A beautiful way to put grief into words. Dominique Laura was able to capture the love, heartache, pride anger, hurt and emotion that she experienced with the loss of her beloved Grandma.
