We’re in the home stretch of this draft! Only about six more action-packed chapters! Here’s a teaser below:

Olivr had heard legends of Vessels, the power too dangerous to unleash on the world. It had been a story, something boys like him pretended to be because they wanted to be powerful. They heard of fate and consequence, used them in the games, but they were just words. They meant nothing.
As Olvir watched Navea stalk toward the broken goddess, trailing embers and burning with arcana, he saw a fate that could not be controlled, a consequence no one could survive.
Update November 23 2021
“They are pack hunters. Typically a dozen strong, matriarchal, ferocious when one of their kin is threatened. They mate for life, and if one dies, the other lays upon its fallen mate and lingers there until they die as well. Imagine that, if you can. A loyalty so fierce, not even the rot of death can keep it at bay.”
Deep into editing mode, but I think that one is gonna stay.
Update September 30 2021
I think I'm going to make the move from first person (my wheelhouse) to third person. It's a shift, but I'm told it makes my writing flow better. I'm also going to add two more POV's, because the characters deserve it and this series is going to be bigger than I imagined!

"I had nothing left, nothing but my voice to use against him. So I turned it into a blade."
Part one of this draft is now DONE! There is still a lot of work ahead and a lot of changes have been/will be made, but it was an EPIC end to the first half of this adventure.

It's real! Stormdrifter will be my first sweeping epic fantasy and I'm so excited to share it. Right now, the first half of the book is in its beta editing, but I have grand plans for the second half! I'll try to update every few weeks or when something big happens, so stay tuned!
