Of you hate cliffhangers and unfinished series don't bother starting this book
Wow what an amazing story. From the start you'll be hooked on this world. Sassy strong heroine , a strong broody bad tempered dominant male with lots of chemistry and a good mystery surrounding our heroine. The side characters are really good I loved Darius, Margaret Navi and her uncle Void. There was lots of Sass and funny banter. Our heroine is an ALPHA wolf that tho enslaved to the Vampire Regent wouldn't bow down to him. I hated that this story ended and with a cliffhanger with alot of questions unanswered! Only saving grace was I Don't have to wait long for the next book but I'm already dreading the wait for the 3rd book cause I'm sure there will be another cliffhanger by the end of book 2. I couldn't take away points because of that and I hope the author won't take long releasing the rest of the books in the series. Here's hoping 🙏
I did like this book an easy read - loved the characters specially void 💜 plot is good lots going on - but sometimes through the book felt repetitive like with her parents their story just got repetitive She is a touch childish but I won’t hold that against because of the way she is brought up and the girl does have a heart of gold. I will say that this book made me miss shifter books so it’s nice to get back into them and considering this is the first book and we’ve got all the world building and rules out of the way - I will be reading the 2nd book.
A vampire king meets a sassy alpha female Werewolf. What a combo! Enemies to lovers, lots of story and some found family. Plenty of witty banter! This book was amazing! A new favourite for sure! Not quite enough spice for what im now accustomed to, however the chemistry is strong and the story line more than makes up for it. Read this now!
"🧛♂️ 'Alpha Power': Where Forbidden Love Meets Supernatural Chaos 🐺" ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Just sank my teeth into "Alpha Power" by T.J. Maguire, and holy supernatural smackdown, Batman! 🦇💥 In a world where vamps, shifters, demons, and mages live in secret, our feisty werewolf heroine stumbles into vampire territory. Cue the entrance of a mysterious, ancient vampire king, and boom - instant forbidden attraction! 🔥 But with millennia of bad blood between their kinds, it's not just romance they're fighting for - it's survival. Quick thoughts: This book is one wild ride! 🎢 Maguire serves up a delicious cocktail of supernatural politics, forbidden romance, and edge-of-your-seat action. Our heroine is a spitfire who can hold her own, while the vampire king brings the dark, dominating energy that'll make your toes curl. 😈 Tropes to howl for: 🐺 Werewolf/Vampire romance 👑 Powerful alpha male 💪 Strong, sassy heroine ⚔️ Enemies to lovers 🌙 Supernatural world 🩸 Violence and gore 🔞 Steamy scenes 😱 Cliffhanger ending Fair warning: This book isn't for the faint of heart. It's dark, it's violent, and it's definitely for mature readers only. But if you like your paranormal romance with a hefty dose of action and a side of steam, "Alpha Power" delivers in spades. The only downside? That cliffhanger ending! 😱 I'm already itching for the next book. If you're ready for a supernatural thrill ride that'll leave you breathless, dive into "Alpha Power" - just maybe keep the lights on! 🕯️📚
The good: -fast paced -lots of action and humor -fun to read and easy to follow for a fantasy -strong female lead & fun side characters
The bad: - while h is usually very fun and sassy, I found h to be immature at times -no smut wtf!!! We get like three kisses :( -I hate contemporary references in books, especially fantasies. I don’t mind one or two, but there was SOOOOO many. For example, they would mention the Kardashians, game of thrones, etc. it was honestly pretty cringe. -written in 3rd person
The meh -H feeds on a human in front of h to get her jealous but chooses to allow the human to feel pleasure from it -didn’t really feel the chemistry between h and H due to third person writing - when Luther first kissed Zamorra it felt soo random and unexpected because we don’t see his obsession for her he just seems kinda aloof
I have read so many fantasy books that I’m always surprised when creative things come up that I’ve never heard of yet. I really like the storyline and from the very beginning this book took off with crazy events and never hitting a dull moment. One small thing I didn’t like was how quick the love interests caught feelings for each other. They knew each other maybe a week, not really much flirting then next thing you know he has his tongue damn near down her throat. Felt very random and out of nowhere. Despite that part, there were no spicy scenes, just fyi. Still loved the book because of the plot.

This is one of the BEST werewolf/vampire books I've ever read. I can't believe it doesn't have more reviews. TJ Maguire is such a talented writer and it shows. This book has a lot of strong characters, a feisty female lead, a sexy AF book boyfriend, hilarious uncle, and plenty of comedic relief. I seriously laughed out loud so many times. The story was SO GOOD and not neglected like it can be in some romance novels! Very impressed and I can't wait for the story to continue!! Read this freaking book, that's all I have to say.
I haven’t ready too many fantasy series but I must say this one has me intrigued. I love how Zamorra is an alpha badass, it’s makes her a great fmc (although she has some teen tendencies). Luthy is giving off those mysterious, dark, possessive me vibes and I love it! The book ended in a cliffhanger but I have a feeling Cosmic power will have more of a plot than alpha power in terms of more of what actually happened to her parents and maybe Luthy will finally push forward ✨
This was the first book of T J Maguires I've read and I'm a fan! I was hooked from the start. Halfway through the third chapter, I literally laughed out loud getting looks from my family. Not wanting to give spoilers but I can't wait to see what's in store for Zomorra, Luther (along with the rest of the House) and I can't help but wonder where Navi was! Anxiously waiting book 2!!!!!
I really did enjoy this book. I loved the banter with all the characters. The action and the world that was created in this book. I did like both MCs, but it's definitely a slow burn. Maybe too slow. I'm not sure if I'm really feeling the connection with them two just yet. I don't mind the cliffhanger since the 2nd book is available, but I am concerned that the 3rd hasn't been released yet, making me wonder if this will be an incomplete series since the 2nd book was released in 2022
Wowzers, what a captivating story! This was equally sometimes funny, dark, back-stabby, creative, TSTL, and/or heroic. Both main characters have major secrets and complicated personal lives, but I can't wait to see where their budding relationship goes. Looking forward to the next one :)
This book is written beautifully. The world building is great the spice is great I’d say 🌶️🌶️/5 but I’m assuming it will build with the next book. The plot twist was insane I definitely thought it was going one way u til it changed completely. There were about 3 major major plot twists that happened and I loved them all. So excited to read the next book.
4 stars because the author constantly repeated information through the book but other than that I have zero complaints. The pacing of the book was good, the parameters of their world was built really well, the FMC didn’t become a dummy post lust, and I didn’t see the twist coming despite spending a good portion of the book theorizing on what was coming next!
It's a good story. Possessive mmc, independent sassy fmc. There were some things that seemed like an obvious solution that distracted me from the story a bit. TikTok hooked me by explaining the intro but it is worth mentioning that their relationship moves at a glacial pace.
Um, holy cliffhanger. I devoured this book, and this story was so much fun. A super powerful sexy vampire king and a sassy, powerful female alpha 🔥 the slow burn tension had me wanting them to just hurry up and rip each others clothes off. There's magic, betrayal, banter, and found family with enemies in every corner. I'm desperate to read book 2 now!
A really like this author , this first book is amazing and I really love a strong independent and fierce FMC ! The banter and the way they are around each other is really entertaining ! Love the story linde in this book
esta decentemente escrito la verdad a comparación de otros que estuve leyendo, la historia atrapa pero me canso un toque ñas vueltas en el romance, CREO que lo voy a seguir porq me dejo mucha intriga y la quiero a la principal
I really enjoyed this. It was a fun read with really likeable and unlikeable characters as well as a decent story. The main female character is sassy and funny and of course the brooding vampire is a strong male lead. Yea overall a good quick read. Ends on a cliffhanger though!
I really enjoyed this book. Loved the different magical creatures and their numerous powers and abilities. The mystery and suspense was well written as was the enemies. Overall a great read definitely reading book 2 after that cliffhanger ending
The slow burn is KILLING me but i can tell it’s worth it. Zamorra is a bad b*tch FMC and she’s not built like a damn doll and thank fuck for that. I can just tell things with her and blood daddy will be so good!
This story had a strong FMC in Zamora. Luther was also everything you’d want in MMC. Being book 1 of a series it was a good start. I kind of wanted a little more progress between Zamora and Luther but maybe I’m impatient.
I love her writing style regardless of the book her style is so easy to consume and flows well. She also makes all of her female main characters the sassiest bad asses and it is highly entertaining.
If you love vampires, werewolves, mages and demons, this book is a must read. A rogue werewolf meets powerful vampire, lust and laughter. Can't wait to read book two.
This was good! I have a feeling Barnabas is probably her dad and that’s why her family was hunted down. I hope Luther finds her fast! I can’t wait for book 2 😊
