We all made a pact. We’ve survived basic together, shared duty stations, and gone to war together. But the needs of the Army have separated us multiple times. That’s why we agreed that when each of us got out, we’d each settle down in the same mountainside town of Three Rivers. It was a favorite place to get away on holiday weekends when the six of us were stationed together in Alaska, and as veterans now we can’t imagine anywhere better. A place filled with fresh mountain air, friendly people who are there when you need them but happy to keep to themselves when you don’t, and unexpected love none of us saw coming.
want Sweet & steamy short story insta-love romance with an older mountain man and younger curvy woman. NO cliffhangers. NO cheating. Guaranteed HEA.
Dakota and Elliott have both been burned by previous relationships but the chemistry that sizzles between the two of them is undeniable. Now that Dakota is moving to town maybe they can both learn to trust again. A wonderful heartfelt read. The storyline was well written and the characters you could connect with. Both realize that they’ve been looking for each other all along. I received an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

She is ready to stop moving and settle down...but will he let her in his heart?
Elliot is the eighth book in the Brothers in Arms in Alaska series and it is a wonderful addition to this series. The story is about Dakota Michaelson, a woman who is going to turn thirty soon and for the past six years she has flown Blackhawk helicopters for the Army, joining when she was turned eighteen. Today is her last flight and she and her crew chief, Jess Perkins, have flown to Three Rivers. Dakota is about to start her final two weeks in the Army as she is ETSing, Expiration term of service. Her plan for this weekend is to find a house to move to, as she promised her best friend Aspen that she would move to Three Rivers after being her to visit Aspen last summer. It was at that time that she met Elliot, and they had more than a moment but nothing happened except a lot of crackling chemistry. But now Dakota has a "wish" that maybe she and Elliot can become something and scratch that itch between them. Elliot retired from the Army and moved to Three Rivers a couple of years ago. He has a cabin out in the woods and lives a quiet life by himself. If you have read the previous books then you may remember that Elliot was first introduced in the fourth book, Talon. He is Macy's brother and Talon's best friend who was getting married in Hawaii and got left at the alter, by a woman that no one wanted him to marry, leaving him jaded on women forever. So last summer when Dakota sort of shook up his world he was not prepared for it. This summer we will see if he can handle the whirlwind that Dakota will bring his way.
This is an entertaining and fun story with a lot of sizzling heat and smexy times. Both Dakota and Elliot are great characters who are likeable. It is good to see that they get their own HEA story.
These two characters, Dakota and Elliot could bring a meltdown to the Alaskan landscape. They are sizzling hot! Dakota is visiting friends in Three Rivers, Alaska. Dakota is finishing her military stint and once she does she will be settling in Three Rivers. Nobody knows yet of her plans, but she will be looking for a place of her own. She would really like to be moving in with Elliot. Last year when she visited she felt a connection to him, something she would like to explore a little more. She felt Elliot was interested but then he didn’t show up for her birthday celebration and he seemed to be avoiding her. She would like to find out what the story is? Elliot felt the connection with Dakota but he said he would never get involved with a woman again EVER. Elliot doesn’t trust women anymore. He was stood up at his own wedding and he feels it is easier to stay away then get hurt again. Then they share a kiss, just a KISS and everything gets a little wild and crazy! It felt too good- can there be more? Will they be able to move on from their past hurts? Can they heal each other? The story is filled with drama, passion, lust, and a whole lot of love. Really enjoyable, entertaining, fast paced. Dakota and Elliot have enough sizzle and steam to melt an iceberg!! It’s short but it is a great story with lovable characters!

I love how Kali is building the world of Three Rivers Alaska. Military men retiring to the small town. Curvy women finding their HEA with hunky mountain men. All the books are interconnected but can be fully enjoyed on their own. I was excited for read Elliot’s story after discovering him in earlier books.
Elliot and Dakota have met before and there is electricity between these two! So strong they can sense with the other comes into a room. With broken hearts from past relationships, neither of them has done anything about this chemistry. Now that Dakota is leaving the military and wants to settle in Three Rivers, Elliot is going to have to decide what he wants. Dakota is ready to pursue him, but will Elliot be ready to have her heal his heart? Read this sweet and steamy romance! It’s a good one!

Dakota will soon be getting out of the Army and is excited about moving to Three River. The land, the mountains and the connection she felt for one man, but he was distant. After being stood up at the alter, Elliot's outlook on love is jaded. but his pull toward Dakota only continued to get stronger the more they stayed together.
Dakota and Elliot have an intense connection, but his past make him hesitant to trust and love. Although they have their ups and down, Dakota and Elliot's story is a great fast read that is perfect for when you want a break.

First things first; I like the cover of this book! Elliot is the eighth book in the ‘’brothers in arms in Alaska’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Having been burnt by love in the past, Elliott isn’t looking for it again. Dakota wants Elliot but will he give love with her a chance? The chemistry between Elliot and Dakota is clear to see and I liked them together. I liked the ending and the epilogue for this story. The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read.
Dakota and Elliot have both been burned, are both wary and both have a huge amount of baggage, but you have to like them, because despite all this once they decide they are all in....they leap completely! It may have been insta lust, but they have resisted, avoided and ignored each other for a year. The chemistry and sexual tension has built and built and built to the point it now explodes in lust, fear, hope and love. It's hot, it's steamy, it's sexy and it's very messy! They are falling hard and fast in Alaska, what are you waiting for? Heading there now... I read this on Kindle Unlimited.
Elliott has been left at the alter and so he stays away from any type of relationship so when he meets Dakota who has friends in town he knows he has to stay away from the attractive woman. Dekota is attracted to Elliott but when he ignores her and does not show up for her birthday party she thinks he is not interested but that does not stop her from moving into their small town when she retires from the military. What she may not know is Elliott is extremely attracted to her and now he intends to show her how he feels.
Definitively, there must be something in the water in Three Rivers, because all the Veterans staying there have fallen in love and got married. This time is Dakota’s turn. She is Aspen’s best friend, and she wants to buy a house there to stay close to her. Elliot has suffered a lot from a past relationship and he doesn’t want to suffer again. However, life has something unexpected for him. Sweet and fun to read. I liked the story is about an army woman again. How to you learn to trust after being cheated on? Step by step. Just don’t get jealous while you’re learning or it could ruin things. But you’ve got to be willing to take a chance on love if you want to move forward or you’ll forever be that guy or gal who got dumped. Just be sure your newest love is very, very forgiving.

Dakota is retiring from the Army and moving to Three Rivers. She's hoping that Elliot is still single and that they can make a life with each other. When they see each other again there is that instant spark between them. They've both been hurt but Dakota is ready to settle down with Elliot. Elliot thought he could resist Dakota but there is no way. This is a short, sweet, insta love story with plenty of steam. Sometimes the road to recovery, is the road that you ATV on. Elliot is a wonderful read, you’ll almost taste the coffee and feel the chemistry that Elliot and Dakota share together. Okay Holden, you’re next boo.

Really liked this story. It was fun reading Dakota's love story with Elliot. It was fun to see them finally admit they had feelings for each other. Both had bad relationships but Dakota was ready to go forward but Elliot still had doubts. He had problems believing Hudson was like a brother to her. Read what they go through. I enjoyed this book and hope you will too. Written by Cindy :)
Both suffering pain from past relationships, Dakota and Elliott are a little skittish around each other at first. But they are so smitten with each other that their feelings of love and forever can no longer be denied when Dakota decides to move to town after leaving the Army. I love this sweet and steamy Brothers in Arms story and series!
Amazing story. Elliott doesn't trust easily after what he's been through. When he meets Dakota he thinks he has found the perfect one for him, but can he trust her not to hurt him? Dakota has been hurt before also. Can these two put their past behind them for future together? Join them for a slice and find out.
We have our next happy new couple Elliot and Dakota. I am quite enjoying this series, knowing the other character's love stories and why they have taken residence in Three Rivers.
Two hearts that were broken, took a chance at love again and realized that their paths led them to each other.

This story was a bit like a Rollercoaster. Elliot gave me whiplash sometimes 🤣 Elliot and Dakota were both hurt in the past and are now hesitant about a new relationship.... but after being away from each other for a year..... both can't deny their attraction anymore😉 Sweet, short, romantic, safe and with a sweet HEA😍😍😍 Can't wait for Holdens story 👍👍
This addition to the series revolves around Elliot and Dakota. Both these characters have serious trust issues caused by their exes. The attraction between them is undeniable but neither is sure about the other. It will be a slow road to their HEA but worth the drive to get there.

Elliot was hard to trust Dakota, but love prevailed, and broken his armor to be a bachelor because of his past relationship that almost destroyed him, the betrayal. But Dakota told him, she wasn't her and she love him completely, now married and having a baby girl. They both have their happily ever after.
What a sweet story!!!! The Brothers in Arms in Alaska series continues with this heartfelt tale of 2 people who find each other after each experience betrayal with others. I loved the storyline!!!! Can’t wait for the next one!!!!
Another great read in this series Brothers in Arms in Alaska. This is book eight and the story of Elliot and Dakota's journey to their happily ever after. The story will keep you interested all the way through. The characters fit well together. A great read.
This was such a great short read. I instantly fell in love with both Elliot and Dakota. Both Elliot and Dakota have experienced a bad breakup and are iffy on taking a chance on love again. But both cant deny the attraction and inta love both feel.
Have been really looking forward to the newest edition of the brothers in arms series. Elliot is such a wonderful character and I love his story and how Dakota finds her home with him. Cannot wait for more fabulous stories from Alaska.
When I started reading this story, I could not put it down. I read the book in one day. This author is an awesome writer. I cannot wait to read more of their books. Keep up the great work. You should definitely read this book.
Two hearts got hurt from their previous relationships. Now trust is at stake. Red is definitely both their favorite color being it in lingerie or jealous caveman tendencies. Good read. No cliffhanger

Once bitten, twice shy. Elliot and Dakota have both been screwed over in the worst possible ways in past relationships. She was cheated in, he was left at the altar. Can they get over their issues and get together?
Elliot and Dakota were both heartbroken and perhaps not looking for love. But they couldn't deny the attraction they had for each other. Everyone around them could tell that it was more, just took Elliot and Dakota a little longer.
